Comforts of home with a beautiful view!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a week long stay in Glacier National Park and we loved our stay in this beautiful home on Lake 5. The proximity to the western entrance of the park made it ideal for getting into the park quickly. The house is lovely and well cared with top of the line appliances, cookware, everything you need for a great stay. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms spacious. The gardens were simply breathtaking and some great bird watching from all around the grounds. Jette was very easy to work with and we would book again with her in a heart beat!

Great house! Great location!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a fantastic week. Our group of 3 couples found the house to be exceptional. Three very comfortable bedrooms . Kitchen is fully equipped and the outdoor grilling area is great. Plenty of space for everyone to gather or find their own private space. The pictures do not lie, even as the summer ended the flowers and gardens were beautiful. If it wasn't so close to Glacier NP it would be hard to leave deck. Although there is no internet/cable our Verizon 3G signal was adequate. Jette was wonderful providing lots of information and concern for our needs. Best of all is the location to West Park entrance and so close to other activities. The half day whitewater rafting was memorable and the helicopter tour is "Breathtaking". Definite 2 thumbs up for a place to stay.

Perfect location for Glacier National Park

  • 5 of 5

The house overlooks Lake Five and is only a few minutes from the western entrance to Glacier National Park. Our extended family of six adults used the house as the base for fishing the Flat Head River and numerous day hikes throughout the park. After a long day of hiking, it was wonderful to relax and have dinner on the deck. The house is beautiful and the owners pay attention to detail. The owner met us at the door when we arrived and was available whenever we had any questions about the area.

A little piece of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

We spent a very relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable week at this property. It felt like you woke up each morning in a tree house with breathtaking views of the lake. The furniture and beds are very comfortable and to say the home is well stocked is an understatement. The yard is a tour of its own and like being in a botanical garden. Jette and Bill are a delightful couple and were very accommodating to our needs and informative of the area.

Unfortunately, the week we were there, many of the roads through the park were closed, including Going to the Sun. Jette had warned us we might be a little early for our visit due to the harsh winter they had experienced in the area, but this was the window we had to come. However, we didn’t feel cheated because the trails that were open were so beautiful and there are many other things to do in the area. As a biker, you could have done more exploring of the park.

We took a memorable helicopter ride and were able to see the park from that perspective. We highly recommend this. Don’t miss going to Lake McDonald Lodge. The grounds are so beautiful and to relax on the porch in one of the rocking chairs provided is so peaceful. The plus of being in the park at this time is the lack of crowds.

We took a day to go into Canada and had a drink and lunch at the Prince of Wales Hotel. Well worth the drive. On the way back, a bear leisurely crossed the road in front of our car. Very exciting!

To come back to the house after our days of hiking or sightseeing and relax on the deck with a glass of wine was a highlight of our trip. Just spending time at the house was a vacation in itself. We prepared our meals in the kitchen or on the grill. We ate either in the dining room with an amazing view of the lake or at the table on the back porch also looking at the lake. We enjoyed so much this peaceful setting and explored the lake in the canoe provided. The sounds of wildlife around the lake reminded me of the movie “On Golden Pond”.

We highly recommend this property and plan to come back.

Most Enchanting, Charming and Elegant Home Ever!

  • 5 of 5

This past summer my sisters and I searched high and low for the perfect location to gather, enjoy each others company, and hike our hearts out in Glacier National Park. We found this rental and it was well worth every penny we spent! The elegance and charm of every detail was incredible! The location was breathtakingly beautiful, every window had a gorgeous view and there were dozens of windows! This home had absolutely EVERYTHING vacationers could need from walking sticks to fully equipped kitchen! We ate our meals in every night and had great cooking utensils, pots and pans and more. The house has a spectacular dock right there and every afternoon we swam in this glorious lake! The gardens were remarkable! The outdoor lounge furniture was wonderful and so so comfortable. I have not yet mentioned the owners who were kind, thoughtful and so accommodating. We forever will recommend this spot for anyone and everyone who wants a lovely, immaculate, charming, beautiful location to restore, rejoice and rejuvenate.

The most amazing view, beautiful, inviting, and a well maintained place on the lake

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at this cabin on the lake was so peaceful and cozy. Jette and Bill were always available to to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. The whole place felt warm and inviting and the surrounding landscape is beautiful. The cabin is well maintained and very welcoming. My daughter went fishing off the deck and had a great time. There is so many activities and things to do close to the cabin if you choose. The cabin is is well stocked with all the basic things you need and with all the personal touches as well, including a lot of extras. We will definitely be back time and time again. Can't wait to go back to this slice of heaven. This was a perfect fit for our family and we will be recommending it to our friends and family.
