Enjoy the perfect beach getaway in this beautifully appointed condo, ideally located in the vibrant community of Canal Pointe. Just a short bike ride from Downtown Rehoboth Beach and the boardwalk, this home offers both convenience and comfort. Situated directly across from the community pool and tennis courts, this condo features two spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, a private balcony, and the ease of an elevator. The first bedroom offers twin-over-double bunk beds plus an additional single bed, perfect for families or groups. The master bedroom includes a king bed, an en-suite bathroom, and abundant natural light from large windows. The living area provides comfortable seating and a pull-out queen sofa bed. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for preparing meals during your stay. Each room includes a ceiling fan and TV, and the unit also offers the convenience of an in-unit washer and dryer. This summer marks the condo's first full rental season, and it is pet-friendly, making it an ideal choice for your furry family members too!

LINENS: Each rental property will provide mattress protective pads, pillows and bedspreads and/or comforters. Most property owners also have additional blankets and pillows stored in closets that are available for use. Rental guests have the option to bring their own linens (sheets, pillowcases and towels) or rent them. For your convenience, SUNSET RENTALS offers a property specific linen package option for guests. All linens are professionally cleaned, packaged and delivered to the property prior to your arrival.

The linen rental package includes FREE delivery, pick up and contains the following:

TOWELS – 1 towel set per person based the maximum guest count for the property. Each set includes: 1 Deluxe Bath Towel 54x27, 1 Hand Towel 30x16 and 1 Washcloth 12x12
SHEETS – 1 set of high-quality bed sheets per the property's bed size and count. Each set includes: 1 deep pocket fitted bottom sheet, 1 flat top sheet, 2 pillowcases for doubles, queens, king size beds and 1 pillowcase for single size beds.
BATHMATS – 1 bathmat per full bathroom count in the property.

NOTE: The linen rental package option can only be selected on SUNSET RENTALS direct website. Those guests booking through VRBO can contact our office and add the linen rental package after the reservation has been confirmed.

CANCELLATION POLICY: All reservations are subject to a nonrefundable $95 admin fee. If GUEST cancels 60 days prior to arrival date, then 100% refund will be provided (less $95 admin fee). If the GUEST cancels 30 days prior to arrival date, then 50% refund will be provided (less $95 admin fee)

Credit Card Processing Fee: All payments made by credit card are subject to a 3% processing fee. This fee will be added to your total booking amount.

PET DISCLAIMER: THIS PROPERTY ALLOWS A MAXIMUM OF TWO (2) DOGS PER GUEST STAY. DOG FEE IS $150 FOR UP TO TWO DOGS. PLEASE NOTE: PRIOR TO SUBMITTING BOOKING REQUEST, PLEASE CONFIRM WITH SUNSET RENTALS THE DOGS BREED AND AGE AS SOME RESTRICTIONS MAY APPLY.

Thank you for your feedback. We take all guest concerns seriously and strive to address issues promptly and professionally. Upon receiving your message on the morning of August 13th regarding ants, cabinet cleanliness, and a cracked toilet, our team responded within two hours. We had already treated the unit for ants during the changeover and, when that proved insufficient, we immediately scheduled a visit from ACTIV Pest Control for the next morning. They arrived as planned and treated the condo thoroughly. Regarding the toilet, although the crack was minor and not leaking, we replaced it the very next morning to ensure your comfort. When you mentioned concerns about the master bathroom toilet, we asked for clarification and photos. While no functional issues were found, we appreciate the feedback and have since addressed the cosmetic concerns. As for the cabinet spill, our cleaners do not clean inside cabinets during standard turnover service, but we did clean the area promptly. We also want to clarify that deep cleaning of cabinets is part of our seasonal preparation. We understand that you were disappointed not to receive a discount, but we believe our team responded quickly and thoroughly to every concern raised. We pride ourselves on maintaining high standards and being responsive to our guests' needs. Thank you again for staying with us.

Outstanding rental

We stayed at this location last year, but a different unit. The location is close to so many things - boardwalk, Dewey, Bethany, and a 40 minute drive to OCMD. The house was great for our family!

Rehoboth Beach Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay in our condo. The condo was well stocked and it was great to be right across from the pool. We chose to "stay home" one day and be at the pool instead of the beach! We were able to bring our dogs and met other vacationers who did the same! Definitely coming back next year!

Overall a great stay.

This was the first year in 16 years we didn’t stay beach front. Neighborhood was quiet and the pool was big and clean. We had a maintenance issue that was resolved the next day. The location made it easy to access any of the beach attractions. We will consider staying again.

This charming apartment was a nice spot to rest and relax before our next adventure. Bedrooms were spacious, kitchen had plenty of amenities, and the complex was quiet and folks were friendly. The balcony overlooking the turtle pond would benefit from some better furniture. Overall, we had a great time, we were close to everything, and the beach and boardwalk were wonderful.

Chilly Week At The Beach

We had a very nice time although the weather was chilly. The condo was very clean and nicely decorated. The only issue we had was that the washer and dryer were broken so we lost some vacation time waiting for a repairman and doing laundry at the laundromat.

Family of Four

Our family of four had a nice time at Canal Pointe. This was our second stay in this unit. It’s convenient to the Rehoboth boardwalk and a 5-10 minute drive to Tower Beach in Dewey, which we love. We also love going to Cape Henlopen, which is about 15 minutes away. The balconies were being replaced while we were there, which was a lot of hammering each day, but it was a safety issue that needed to be fixed.

Construction during stay

We loved the property and its location. We were quite upset to see that the balcony was under construction and unusable during our stay. We did not receive any communication about the construction prior to our arrival. Repairs took place during our stay creating quite a bit of disruption (closing blinds and dodging workers who could look into the property as they worked). I reached out to the property manager after our stay and was told that this was out of their control (which I completely understand). I would have appreciated any form of communication in advance and any form of compensation (even small) for having our time disrupted unexpectedly.

Hi Ellen, thank you for submitting a review for this beach condo. Regarding the balcony, I've emailed you apologizing we did not notify you of the work being completed on them. As I stated, we assumed the work would have been completed before your stay. Sunset Rentals was notified RIGHT before the summer season by the condo association that the balconies were deemed UNSAFE and needed emergency repairs. All the balconies on the building had to be removed and re-built. Unfortunately, this work was “out of our control” but appreciate them being re-built before someone gets hurt since they were UNSAFE to use. The condo is equipped with large plantation shutters in front of the sliding glass door so these could be shut for privacy when the workers were working on this particular balcony. I can now state ALL BALCONY work is complete and they are better than before. We will no longer have to deal with this issue. Thanks! Carl

Suprise!.. $300 in fines / Construction noise Mon thru Fri 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.- no privacy

#1-Extreme Noise -We received an email on Jun 16 saying there would be repairs (too late to cancel under the cancellation policy. OUR VACATION WAS RUINED-we were told there would be a repair, NOT that ALL NEW BALCONIES were being constructed. We had no privacy as they were right at our window. Men hammering, drilling, sawing 8am to 5pm Mon through Fri ! #2 LESS THAN 24 hours before checkout we started to get email, texts and messages Accusing us of failing to return a net on the sports court-$300 fines. (NOT once, but 3 times!) Its easy to understand that a person trying to relax and spend valuable time with their family could easily be distracted . On 2 occasions we initially walked off the court without putting the net back, but went back to return it. If the HOA was well meaning, why not start with a first time warning , instead of waiting all week without any communications? After checkout I took time to talk to 4 couples who ALL stated that the HOA is notor-iously known for this! Our agent told us he had worked for them over 20 years now and said they would be impossible to reason with. Canal Pointe is a good location and has nice amenities but BEWARE of the fines and surprise construction which may be waiting for the unsuspecting family at the end of their stay. If we would just have been dealt with openly and honestly, I believe we could have salvaged our long awaited and hard-earned getaway and would have returned.

As the property manager for this condo we always appreciate reviews and feedback. Where shall I begin with my response back to this review…lets use the same format as the renter. #1) The renters showed up NOT knowing the condo unit address. They blew our phones up stating we provided them with the wrong instructions for getting in the unit because the front door required a key. LOW and BEHOLD they were trying to get into the WRONG condo. All our units are electronic codes. #2) tenants complained it was cleaned too well. Yes, that’s correct! The Husband left me a VM asking for an air filter because it smelled too clean. To put this into context, this unit was cleaned at 10A with pine scented cleaner. #3) BALCONIES- We received a message from the Condo Association a day earlier that ALL the balconies were deemed unsafe and in need to be rebuilt ASAP. Our email did NOT state a repair only. This was completely OUT OF OUR CONTROL as it was the condo association doing this work. During that week we agree it was probably noisy when they were working on this particular column of balconies. We stopped by the bldg several times to check on progress and confirmed they were not working on this column every day 8AM-5PM. #4) CONDO VOILATIONS- On 3 occasions the tenant’s kids moved the pickleball nets out to play but DID NOT put them back. Several condo owners told them the rules state you need to put the nets back and kids just walked away ignoring them. The condo owner received notice of (3) violations that equaled $300. As the property manager we contacted the tenant immediately and she admitted they left their kids play pickleball with no supervision. The husband called pleading with me that the condo assoc needs to provide proof. I went to bat for these tenants and had the owner demand a hearing. I reached out to the tenants multiple times to provide us a statement so we could try to get the fines removed. The tenant emailed the condo assoc property manager directly and in the email ADMITTED they DID NOT put the nets back. On top of that, condo assoc provide the VIDEO of them NOT putting the nets back. So this claim that they came back and put the nets back is 100% FALSE. We did manage to have the fines reduced to $200 and going to bat for the tenants. When we sent out the weekly rental agreement to be signed it also included the Canal Pointe rules. The tenants signed off they would follow the rules of the community. We also leave a laminated sheet of rules and regulations on the countertop of the condo. Not only did these tenants not follow the rules they also stuck the owner with the $200 fine. Needless to say, these tenants are not welcomed to stay in any of our rental properties in the future.

Home away from home

We have stayed at the Grande at Canal Point for the past 7 years. This unit was the perfect fit for my family! We love the location across from the pool and being on the 3rd floor is great with the elevator directly beside us. Carl communicated with us via email and text from the time we booked until the time we checked out. Everything was very clean when we arrived and the keyless entry makes it so easy to come and go. Our 7 year old loved sleeping in the bunk beds and having his own tv in the room. We loved the beach decor and there was plenty of storage for all of our items. We will definitely be booking again!

Great condo!!!!

I loved this condo!!! I felt that this condo was very well equipped for renters having televisions in each room and a lot of sleeping quarters for more sleeping if necessary. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans for cooking. I just wished the condo came with a parking pass. I would love to rent this beautiful condo again.

Everything about the unit was great from beginning to end. Easy check in very clean, quiet, comfortable, and short distance to the boardwalk. We wished we could have stayed longer. Hope to come back next summer

April escape

We recently had stayed at the Canal Pointe property and had a very comfortable month long stay .Everything was as describe in the info section. Carl was easy to work with and went out of his way to make us comfortable while we were there. The unit is on the 3rd floor , but there is an elevator which makes moving luggage and groceries so much easier. The building is also directly across from the pool and the rec area which makes access extremely easy. The location is set back not far off of RT1 and near the outlets which makes it a little quieter while still having easy access .
