Escape Winter and experience Warm Florida Key Weather and Calm Water for Fishing! Great Getaway for couples and a group of friends! Spacious 3 Bedrooms and 3 Baths 1,600 sq ft home overlooking a canal with a brand new dock that spans the width of the property complete with a fish cleaning station and private pool and brand new hot tub. The Open Concept Living and Kitchen Area Allow The Family to Gather Without Being Crowded. We Have 2 Gas Grills (1 located on balcony and 1 in pool/ area), and Ice Machine Located On Upstairs Balcony. This private getaway features a brand new hot tub, king bedroom off the balcony with a master bath, including a his and her sink and large mosaic tile shower. Bedroom 2 is a Queen Bedroom, Bedroom 3 is a Queen Bedroom. Bathroom 2 has a Shower and Double Sink. Bathroom 3 has a shower. The Master Bedroom and 2 additional bedrooms are upstairs on the same floor as the kitchen and living room. Access down spiral stairs from the main living area to laundry room and bathroom 3, and then out through sliding glass doors to the pool deck. Everyone has their own space complete with a tv and closet spacing. We Offer a Gourmet Kitchen With Coffee Maker, Microwave, Double oven, Island cook top, Margaritaville blender and Toaster. We offer a theater/living room with large flat screen tv and popcorn machine to Give You That Going to the Movies Feel While Relaxing. Downstairs Laundry Area that can be accessed from the Spiral Staircase Inside the House. Our pool is large enough to swim, float and play while overlooking the canal! You even have your own private wine cellar to stock your favorite wines during your stay. This house is set up so you never have to leave and always feel at home. It encompasses all the Florida Keys have to offer. Our home has quick and easy access to the Gulf, perfect for the avid fisherman. There is 52 Ft of dockage offering plenty of room for two boats that can be launched very closely on Aviation and Harbour St. located just around the corner from the house!

Great family vacation!

Located in a nice neighborhood. The pool and hot tub were a big hit for us. The pool is missing a few tiles but works amazingly. The hot tub is spectacular. The house is as advertised, however, could use a bit of TLC and a deep clean on the fans, vents, and doors. The host is AMAZING. Overall we enjoy our stay just wish it had been warmer temps.

Fun Marathon house

This house was very spacious and open. The pool was always refreshing and fishing off the canal was fun. The location of the house is perfect. Very close to stores, restaurants, etc. In a very quiet neighborhood next to the airport. Great vacation home.

Great! But needs Owner Attention.

My family (myself, 2 daughters, 1 son-in-law, 4 granddaughter) spent 2 weeks here. We really enjoyed it. The owners can easily improve it even more by addressing the few negatives below. Positive: Property manager was very responsive and addressed every question/concern immediately. Best Equipped/supplied rental I've been to (and I've been to a LOT). Kitchen fully updated, very nice. Property was in an excellent location between Key Largo and Key West. Day trips were easy. We're an on-the-go family and were out every day except one (a rest day). State parks are also close. Location in neighborhood was very nice, peaceful. Son-in-law had a blast fishing from the deck in the canal. Teen girls (4 of them 13 to 16) took over the lower level and loved the privacy (so did we!). Loved the ice machine on top deck! Negatives: Owners controlled the upstairs air remotely and had programmed the temp to go up at set intervals. I complained to the property owner as we were getting up several times a night sweating. She conveyed it to the owners. It improved for a few days but was back after that even worse. We'd set the temp at 70 (it definitely didn't reach that temp in the bedrooms, but was much warmer), and start feeling warm 30 minutes later and it'd be back to 76 . Night times were the most frustrating as we'd wake up sweating and have to go turn it down again. Note: The lower level was window air and as long as the girls kept the blinds drawn, it was very nice downstairs. General Complaint: A washing machine that I tried to use then realized it wasn't plugged in and wouldn't work when I plugged it in. There was also a working washer/dryer. There was a TV on the upstairs deck and a TV above the pool under the deck. We were happy about movie night by the pool. But neither TV worked. They were not advertised. Get rid of non-working appliances. The 3rd bedroom upstairs: * It was hot. The Property Manager supplied a fan and it helped, but it was noticeably warmer than the other bedrooms. * The bed frame in the bedroom broke 2 times. I do have pictures of the original as well as the repairs. It had obviously broken multiple times before as it had old "McGiver-type" repairs with pieces of wood bracing it, etc. * The mattress was old, very old. It was the type with the bare springs covered with material. They don't even make that type anymore. It was horribly uncomfortable. * The entire bed/bedframe needs to be replaced.

Enjoyed our stay, new updated interior light fixtures. Property manager is very friendly and helpful, responded immediately to our concerns. Inventory of kitchen accessories should be made, looks like lots of duplicates and unusable parts and pieces. Property could use maintenance. Pool Deck is unfinished and to hot to stand on you must wear shoes. Lighting on dock did not work, outside lighting for bottom level did not work. Severe cracking on support for upper patio. Only one of 3 grills worked. No remote for master bedroom. Front window upstairs has been leaking for a while and will at some point create a hazard as it is rotting out. All in all we had a wonderful time and able to compensate for any issues we had. With a little maintenance this could be a dream home.

The house was very roomy for the amount of people we had, the house was equipped, with kayaks, bicycles , bbq grills and the ice machine was perfect, the location for us was perfect. The house was not exceptionally clean when we arrived, The Margaritaville Machine had mold in it, the dinnerware, silverware and pots and pans all needed to be washed before use. It definitely is not a place to take children, in my opinion there were to many hazards, even for adults. The pool area, had tripping hazards for the young and old, the door walls were very old and did not slide very easily, the showers were extremely slippery, my recommendations would be to have some sort of non skid put in, the downstairs bathroom, you had to step down when entering and then step up onto where the toilet was with inches to spare, 3 people fell, this property is definitely in need of tlc,. The beds and bedding could be updated, the living room couch and chairs definitely need to be replaced, you would sink to the frames when sitting in it. Overall would I stay there again? Probably, this property just needs some attention

Close to everything. Marinas, fishing, swimming restaurants and shopping

We were in the perfect spot on the water and in relation to town. The management was very responsive and helpful. The house had everything we needed. The Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and I enjoyed cooking there. We loved the back yard and spent a lot of time there when we were not on our boat we kept parked right beside the back deck. We had the full experience and we loved it.

Dirty and broken

The location of the property is great. The number of beds and baths was good. The problem we had was every other thing we touched, sat in, used was dirty or broken. Day one my boyfriend and I went to kayak. All the kayaks are in some form of disrepair. We pieced a few together to have back and seats that functioned. Then my boyfriend went to use the ladder to the channel and it came off the deck with him on it. We sent a message to the property manager and it got fixed the next day but he could have been hurt with this broken ladder. The dishwasher and washing machine had issues. The washer crept into the middle of the floor with every load. The dishwasher got half the dishes clean. The dryer also took longer and longer to dry as the week went on. Mattresses and pillows had numerous stains when we went to remove sheets, pillowcases for washing our final morning. Simple things like mattress pads would alleviate this issue. This house seemed a bit dirty as a whole. If they are paying a cleaning service I would hire a new one. The dishes and silverware all had to be rewashed before using them. The dining room table top is not secure. That moved on us several times. The chairs are very old, and in stayes of disrepair. We told the property manager about this also but they were not addressed during our stay as promised. There are several grills but we had issues getting them started. Only one worked for us which was enough but why have 3-4 grills that may or may not work on the deck? There was a hole in the deck that could be a problem if you were not paying attention to where you were walking. The home was very cluttered. There were numerous items that seemed to be broken and just left around. Why not throw the stuff away? We had a nice stay. We made this a nice vacation. Would I stay at this property again, probably not. The Marathon area is beautiful and we would absolutely visit the keys again. We would just stay at a different property and read more reviews before choosing. The pride in ownership is lacking with this property.

The house had everything we enjoy. Kayaks, pool, and bikes, plenty of outdoor seating. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We love to relax and do our own cooking and grilling. The house is so spacious. Would stay here again. Kathy was helpful and quick to respond to our questions.

The pictures for VRBO did not look like the outside pool area which was in disrepair.

Spring Break 2021

What a wonderful experience we had in Marathon. From the moment we arrived until the minute we left we enjoyed ourselves. Michelle was awesome throughout the entire process. We saw a bad review and were hesitant on booking but after an email from Michelle we decided to take a chance. I am glad we did! There was no issues with the pool and we had a great time spending our evenings fishing off the deck. We will definitely stay here again! Next time we will bring the boat! Thank you Michelle for a wonderful Spring Break 2021!

Beyond unacceptable

Please understand that I will never review something unless it is absolutely necessary. DO NOT STAY HERE! We arrived and immediately regretted renting this home. The house was nothing short of filthy and in horrendous condition. Hair all over the floors, toilets countertops. What appears to be large blood stains on the couches. Food and crumbs left in the oven, refrigerator, countertop and all over floors. The back yard was something you would see in an abandoned home. Garbage left piled up, rusty old bent up furniture placed around. Furniture so bad it was not safe to sit in. Concrete support beams were spalling all the way through. Horribly unsafe. Jagged glass tile surrounding the pool. Unfortunately our 12 year old daughters stomach was cut while exiting the pool. The bricks around the pool were nothing short of ankle breakers. Sheets and comforters on the beds were not changed from previous occupants. Occupants who just happened to be the owners of the property. The weeds in the backyard were all over and up to mid-calf height. Back porch door had fallen off. I have pictures to post. Spoke with the foul mouthed owner who proceeded to hang up on me during our conversation. Which admittedly at that point I had used foul language myself. Absolutely ruined what was supposed to be a wonderful vacation. One positive was the manager Michelle, who with no help from the owner, did everything possible to improve our experience. Although, having gone through a 2 day nightmare with this house, her efforts fell short. We actually weeded the back yard! Michelle did offer but at that point, we were done with strangers being on the property. We wanted to try to salvage our vacation. We asked for a refund or some sort of compensation. Which the owner and Michelle agreed to. Now though, when I try to contact both parties, I receive no response. We do have text messages proving what was promised. My lawyer is advising my moves from here. We are contacting Monroe county and the city of Marathon to report the homes safety violations and will be moving forward with what we feel legally entitled too. This review is in no way personal. Rather it is meant to save another family from staying in an unsanitary, unsafe house that is in no way what was promised. As I have stated in the beginning, Do Not Rent This Home!
