Fantastic Second Stay

This was our second visit to this property, the first after lockdown. As always we had a great and relaxing stay in one of the well appointed gites. This area of Normandy has so much to see and do and the frendliness and hospitality of Jean-Pierre (the owner) goes above and beyond. We will be back !

Lovely stay

Comfortable spacious gite in a beautiful rural setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the host Jean Pierre was a lovely helpful host. Really enjoyed the private garden and the games room was super for family ping pong tournaments. Good location for visiting Normandy WW2 sites. Cat Juno was friendly too!

Tourney sur Odon

The property was sufficient for our needs. Our host welcomed us and bid us farewell. He also arranged reservations for us at his favorite restaurant along the seashore, La Crémaillère, in Courseulles la Mer. From our gite, Kit, we took day trips to Pont du Hoc, Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery. We also visited Mt St Michelle and the Rue du Fromage, cheese and Calvados.

80th Birthday Treat

The drive up to the Château took our breaths away and the grounds and gite were stunning. Jean Paul was the perfect host and surprised my mum with “Tarte de Pomme” for her birthday. The gite was comfortable and had lovely outside area . The cat from the Chateu came and sat with us each night and was very cute. This is a perfect location to visit the beaches, Arromanches and Bayeux. We were sad to leave!

En pleine campagne très bel environnement, château et parc , et des dépendances transformées en gîtes au confort moyen; une salle de jeu parfaite pour nos adolescents et les plus grands, et au mur une carte des "plages du débarquement" en Normandie commentée par le propriétaire, très aimable. Tranquilidad y entorno ideal

La vivienda es muy acogedora y está muy bien equipada. Los jóvenes disponen de una sala de juegos fabulosa. La atención de Jean Pierre es muy acogedora (un señor con mucho "swing", se ve que sabe tratar a sus clientes); nos explicó muy bien los lugares a visitar, y nos facilitó mucha documentación, y lecturas para los jóvenes. En el conjunto hay una capilla consagrada que es una verdadera joya. La vivienda no tiene TV, lo cual es una gran ayuda para desconectar. Debería mejorar el WiFi: tiene amplificador pero no está bien configurado Aconsejamos está bonita vivienda, y su entorno. Si volveme s a visitar Normandía, repetiremos.

Ruhig mit Lokalkolorit

Sehr ruhige Lage mit schönem Lokalkolorit. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und hatte zshlreiche Tipps und Unterlagen für Ausflüge. Den Jungs hat der Gemeinschaftsraum mit Tischtennisplatte, Billisrdtisch un Flipper sehr gut gefallen.

Un séjour dans un superbe endroit

Superbe endroit à la campagne, location bien équipée, propriétaire très agréable et disponible. La salle de jeux est un vrai plus quand la météo est capricieuse. Très bon séjour en famille

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette location. Le parc et la salle de jeu très complète sont les véritables plus pour ce voyage avec des enfants. Le logement présente des couchages agréables. L'accès à l'autoroute se fait très vite bien que le logement soit dans un environnement rural très calme. L'hôte est présent et attentionné mais très discret.

Aangenaam verblijf op een groot landgoed

Wij hebben een prima tijd gehad in het het huisje. Het huisje is er één van drie die aan elkaar verbonden zijn. Het is gevestigd op een groot landgoed waar je je vrij kunt rondlopen. Gastheer Jean Pierre is uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Die Eule ruft abends.

Gemütliche Fewo auf 2 Etagen. Abseits vom Schuss (super für alle, die keinen Rummel brauchen), auf Schlossareal. TV nur im Gemeinschaftsraum. Toll für Kinder. Freundlicher kommunikativer Gastgeber. Alle Ziele der westlichen Normandie mit dem Auto in max. 1h zu erreichen.

Great place and location, very kind owners

We had a great stay at this location, in the house is everything you need and the owners are very helpful and attentive. Thick walls so inside it's cool even in the summer. Lots of things in the area are easily accessible. For children there is a playroom with indoor and outdoor toys. Would definitely recommend this location.

Magische plek

De ruïne van het oude kasteel, het landhuis, de grote tuin, het is een magische plek. Het appartement is netjes en eenvoudig ingericht. Heerlijk koel , ondanks de 40° buiten. Badkamer en sanitair zijn niet modern, maar netjes, schoon en voldoen ruimschoots.

Perfect venue for a Normandy break

The cottage is comfortable and well equipped . We had lovely weather so used the private garden a lot which is very sunny in the afternoon. There is a well-maintained and equipped games room which we enjoyed using. The setting is beautiful: the cottage is situated in the grounds of a small chateau which has a very nicely landscaped garden which we were welcome to use at any time. Jean-Pierre was a very welcoming host. He spent time showing us around on arrival and was on-hand for any queries or help about the locality without being obtrusive.

Fantastic holiday in a beautiful setting

We have just returned from a fantastic family holiday in this Gite. We were welcomed on arrival by the host Jean Pierre and given a tour of the property as well as loads of information on things to do and visit in the local area. Jean Pierre is a great host and was around all week to make sure we were comfortable and didn’t have any queries. The Gite itself was spotlessly clean and well appointed, there was nothing we were missing – right down to 2x corkscrews ! We will definitely return here in the future. Thanks very much Jean Pierre !

Amazing property and hosts!

The location is quiet and peaceful, the gardens are wonderful, and it's amazing to be able to walk back in time through the medieval ruins on the property. The location is a short drive to Caen and other nearby attractions. The property was clean - but do note that there are two units in the cottage, photos of both units are shown. Jean-Pierre is a great host. He greeted us with lots of information, plus he checked in once in a while to make sure we were getting along well. We hope to return some day!

Beautiful setting and generous host

We had a fantastic family holiday. The games room was a big hit with the children. Jean-Pierre is very kind and hospitable and the surrounding area is stunning, with plenty of things to do. We would whole-heartedly recommend.
