Excellent Place to Stay

Our stay at Applebrook was wonderful. We had 15 people (10 adults and 5 kids ages 8-1). We rented it because it is only a 3 minute ride to Santa’s Village. It was very comfortable and more than enough room for us.The kitchen, dining area and living room are all huge. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Unsafe, Unclean, and Unresolved – Extremely Disappointing StayReview: our experience was deeply disappointing and concerning.From the moment we arrived, we faced multiple issues:•Access Issues: The entry code repeatedly failed, delaying our access to the property.•Non-Functional Amenities: The heating system, washer, dryer, microwave, and bathroom lighting were inoperable.•Unusable Facilities: Three bathrooms were rendered unusable due to missing showerheads or inadequate lighting, with one bathroom relying on a temporary light powered by an extension cord pulled from a bedroom—a clear safety hazard.•Infestation and Unsanitary Conditions: The property was infested with flying ladybugs, with visible evidence of pesticide use. One bedroom was so severely affected that guests were forced to sleep in the family room.Electrical Hazards: Attempting to use the microwave triggered repeated circuit breaker trips, raising serious concerns about the property’s electrical safety.We returned late the second night to find the same unsafe and unsanitary conditions. We documented everything with photos, videos, and messages. The host acknowledged the issues, but they remained unresolved.Including photo showing bugs and temporary light in the bathroom with cord pulled from the bedroom. VRBO customer service was not helpful in getting us our refund for nonfunctional house.

Beautiful weekend getaway!!

We are a group of seven couples and it is an annual tradition to rent a home in October to get away and enjoy the foliage. This is by far one of the best homes we have stayed at!! Five rooms had their own private bath and 2 couples had to share a bathroom. The dining room had seating for 24 people. The views of the mountains and the foliage were spectacular!! Large windows in the living room & sunroom area and the sun shines right in! Big fire pit out back with benches and chairs. A nice deck with a patio table also out back. I would recommend this to any large group!
