Family vacation

We enjoyed the house. Easy access to beach across the street. A pool was a must and this house didn’t disappoint. Everyone loved it! The open space of kitchen and family room and the bonus family room along with balconies in the front and back gave plenty of “personal” space. The only complaints I have was the cleanliness of the house. No cleaning under couches or beds. Food remients

Wonderful

Our stay here was perfect. The from the top floor are truly like being ocean front, absolutely gorgeous. Feels like you’re on a ship in the ocean from the kitchen. Layout was great, pool was fabulous, access to beach was so easy, plenty of parking, kitchen was spacious and beautiful. We were lucky to have perfect weather and we all wanted to spend a few more days in this beautiful house. I’ve visited OKI almost every year since I was a child (20+ years) and there is just something about the island that is calming to my soul. Thank you for sharing your house!

Great House

This was a beautiful home with a great view of the beach as well as a great pool. It had everything we needed. Cleaning crew could have done a little better. Lots of dust under furniture and in corners, and the top front deck needed to be swept off. The door off top family room to deck was non functional due to swelling and moisture so had to use the one off master bedroom to access top porch. However, this house was great with quick walk across the street to the beach. We would stay here again.

The house was a great location and we loved the access to the beach and the pool. It was easy to get in and out, easy to navigate, and the space was great. However, we were disappointed that basic common courtesy essentials were not available. For example, there was no hand soap, no dish soap, no dishwasher detergent, only 1 kitchen rag, only 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 paper towel, and 1 trash bag. It made it difficult to complete the check out instructions such as doing dishes, take out trash, ect. We were also disappointed that while a grill was advertised, the propane was empty and we were unable to grill.

Perfect home for getting families together with young kids. House was a little “weathered” - a couple doors had frame issues; some easy to open and some were hard to open. The ocean facing, lower living room floor, around the door, didn’t appear solid; you can feel the floor “giving in”. The top ice maker in fridge worked, but the lower one didn’t work; it looks like it’s frozen up. My son has the same one, and had a similar issue, but it was both too and bottom froze up. Overall we had a fantastic time, and will book again; thank you for letting us book for less than a week. Part of our family love the beach, and the other half, not so much. Very nice views!

Great location

The property is located in a great spot, almost directly across the street from a beach access. The living areas on the top floor provide a gorgeous view of the ocean. The kitchen was fairly well equipped for us to make Thanksgiving dinner. The master suite including the bathroom are really roomy. My only complaints were not about the house itself, but the housekeeping and linen services. The linens provided were thin and rough. There were molded, fuzzy utensils in the dishwasher, candy wrappers and tons of dust balls on the floors, mostly under the furniture. I wish there had been a vacuum cleaner at the house for me to use during our stay. I'm not sure that a beater bar is used on the carpets as there were tons of sand spurs in all the carpets. We all, especially the kids, got stuck with several sand spurs from the carpets, one so deep in my child's heel that I had to use tweezers and dig to get it out. A thorough vacuuming would've definitely picked those up and spared us some pain.
