Today it is a kind of archaeological park with preserved architectural remains of ancient and late antiquity. Visit nearby Pula, where you can see many sights from its long history. The most impressive buildings in the city date back to Roman times. In addition to the Roman amphitheater, better known as the Pula Arena, and the well-preserved Temple of Augustus in the Forum, there are the Dirke Mosaic and the Triumphal Arch of Sergius. Not to be missed is a day trip to inland Istria, whose beautiful, picturesque landscapes delight many visitors and nature lovers. Visit the medieval towns of Motovun and Hum. Stop on the way at one of the local taverns and taste the traditional dishes and wines of this area.
