Nestled in the hills of Gatlinburg, the moderately steep, narrow roads up to the log cabin are part of life in the Smoky Mountains. Trust us the cabin is worth the climb! The views on the 5 minute journey up past downtown Gatlinburg are breathtaking. During the warmer months bears are frequently seen around the cabin and on the drive up the hill. The driveway is thankfully flat and allows up to 3 cars.
From Gatlinburg to the Cabin: If heights and narrow roads worry you, it can be more of a relaxing drive to take the Ski Mountain Rd up towards Ober Gatlinburg. Make a left before you reach Ober Gatlinburg on N Baden Dr, then continue on to Zurich Rd, before making a right turn onto Luzerne Dr. Continue to follow you GPS towards the cabin.

Our family loves this property! It was close to Gatlinburg, well maintained, and the hosts anticipated all of it needs. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and pool table, and we got to see an almost nightly show when the bears wandered by. It was the perfect home base for our vacation.
Lucy is awesome. One of the easiest check in and check out processes that I've ever had. The cabin was exactly as advertised. Loved the location of this one. It's easy to bypass traffic in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge when needed. We would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful cabin with an amazing view and perfect for a multi family trip. It’s equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal. The road leading up to the cabin is steep with a few sharp curves and turns. Make sure your vehicle is equipped with 4WD and be prepared to use low gear.
Beautiful Cabin. Beautiful View. EXTREMELY Clean. Host responded within minutes every time. Game room, hot tub, fireplace and location made this a perfect family vacation. Will definitely book again. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for sharing this wonderful property.

Hi Brad, thank you for your review! We are so glad to hear you enjoyed the cabin and the view! Thank you for being amazing guests! We would be happy to welcome you back anytime!
Nice cabin. Good view. A few spiders and stink bugs but that’s understandable being in the woods. We stayed in the very top not very insulated we could hear everyone and they could hear us. Over all good place to stay
As a family who cooks every meal in the cabin, I really appreciated all the pots, pans, and utensils. I loved the coffee bar and all the extras: garbage bags, shampoo, soap, etc. Many places don’t have those things. Two things that you might need to know- there was a bit of a stink bug problem in the cabin. Also, several rugs are peeling up at the corners causing a few tripping issues.Overall, we truly enjoyed our time in the cabin. The view was spectacular.

Hi Karen thank you for your review! We are glad you enjoyed the cabin and the views! We do make a point to include the extras to make your stay enjoyable. I'm sorry to hear you had some bugs in the cabin. While we have monthly pest control, they can sneak in when doors/windows are left open since we are in the forest right next to the national park. And we had our handyman secure the rugs, thank you for letting us know.
Our family of seven had a great time in the cozy cabin in the mountains! We saw bears, had a great view of the Smokies, and enjoyed a great time with family. The cabin is just as described and Lucy was a great host!
Beautiful cabin in the mountains! Our first time in Tennessee and we loved our stay! Check in and out was super easy. Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular and we saw mama bears and bear cubs daily. There’s a ski mountain market down the road that had yummy pizza. The roads up to the cabin are sharp turns and steep so drive slow! Host answered any questions we had quickly and very friendly. 5 stars!
Perfect cabin for our family with 4 teenagers. Everyone had their own space, but also great spaces to all be together. Great location-5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. Check in and out process was very easy. Kitchen was supplied with everything needed to be able to prepare a meal. Pool table kept us busy for hours!
Wonderful cabin close to everything. Will see bears, had everything we needed in it.

While traveling we always search for unique stays, but with the all the comforts of home. We decided to start listing our properties with VRBO to provide just that! An amazing home and unique experience for our guests to cultivate lifetime memories with family and friends!
Why they chose this property
The Hideaway Lodge is special to us as it's a beautiful real log cabin tucked into the trees in the outskirts of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Located on a quiet street in the hills of Chalet Village, this cabin can accommodate 10 people comfortably. It offers amazing views of the Smoky Mountains and downtown Gatlinburg!
What makes this property unique
Featuring a game room, new outdoor grill, board games, and ROKU TVs in every room the cabin does not disappoint with entertainment features. The other bonus is the close proximity to downtown Gatlinburg (only 5 minutes away) and Pigeon Forge (~10 miles away). The entrance to the National Park is just around the corner, a few minutes away. Bears are ever present in the area and there is no shortage of wildlife to see as well.
