Fantastic property, all the comforts of home.

Steps the beach. Great surf spot as well. Beach club staff was amazing too. Our hosts were responsive and very helpful. Would recommend anyone who would like to stay in this area to consider this property.

Month-long wellness retreat in Costa Rica

We used this property for a month-long getaway for entrepreneurs from the US. We had dozens of people coming and going throughout the month, had plenty of activities. It was perfect for our needs, the owner is responsive and helpful, the house is great for large groups, would recommend to anyone!

Just what we needed!

The property was perfect for our needs. House was very clean. Had everything we needed. Neighborhood was great. We didn’t get to use the pool but we went by it and so wish we had more time because it was a beautiful pool. Had spa, gift shop, ice cream, bar and grill and we were in the perfect spot for beach views. Owner is great at communicating and very helpful. Highly recommend!

Nice home tucked in a great neighborhood

This property was positioned in the perfect place for us. There were a few issues such as breakdown of the dryer, refrigerator and air conditioning. BUT the owners were incredibly responsive and everything was addressed the same day we made contact. Some stuff was pretty dated. But again the actual home and the owners were great.

Awful - Listing of Lies, Left Early - Do Not Rent

Too many bad things to list but when you walk in the door you're hit with a heavy mold smell. Found mold on couches and dishes. Windows we're all completely covered in bird poop. One of the main features of this community is the communal pool which was in the listing. What they don't say is the owners have been kicked out of the pool club for other community violations and their renters don't have access. They blame "a new policy" but that is a lie, it is specific to them. We've been to Hermosa Palms 4yrs in a row and never had a problem and we moved to another property while we were there and instantly had access to everything.We booked for 8 days but left after 3 due to the lies in the listing and condition of the property. We tried to engage the property manager and they basically said "not our problem" and blamed us. Later found out that the owner was in the neighborhood and watching our kids play.Listing also says wheelchair accessible which the property is not, all bedrooms are on the 2nd floor and the there is a step up to the door. Also lists a garage for parking which there isn't, they've converted to a pool table room. This property is not well provisioned and is in no way a "meticulous house with 5 star amenities". When you check in you will get a note that says bring your own toilet paper, garbage bags and cleaning supplies.This is a great community and would recommend a trip to Hermosa Palms but would avoid these owners at all cost.

Occasionally, we encounter clients who not only claim ignorance but also feel entitled and resort to blaming others for their inability or unwillingness to read and understand the provided rules and information. The Beach Club's availability is clearly and prominently displayed in our listing and is also mentioned in all correspondence with our guests upon arrival. In this particular case, we offered the guest the opportunity to cancel her reservation without any penalties. She declined this offer, stayed at the property for four days, and then left without any notice. Subsequently, she contacted us, threatening to post a negative review unless she was granted a full refund. We hope future guests can see through these falsehoods and won’t let one person’s bad behavior influence their decision when considering staying at our home. With over 400 glowing reviews across multiple vacation rental platforms, we’re proud to offer an exceptional experience that so many have loved and enjoyed!

Great place in Hermosa Palms

My family and I had a great trip to Hermosa Palms, and Rib and Sarah's place made a great home base for our short trip. The house is wonderful! Everything worked (AC, Wifi , hot water, appliances...) There was some construction across the street so there street was a little crowded, but it was only a minor inconvenience when driving. This was our third stay in HP, and we couldn't beat this place for the price! Rob and Sarah were great. When we needed anything or had any questions, they responded quickly or sent someone over to check on us. I highly recommend this house and these owners. Pura Vida!

Originally from Canada, I first came to Costa Rica on a vacation 30 years ago, instantly fell in love with my wife, the country, the people, and never looked back.

My wife Sarah and I, spend many weekends here, with our 7 kids, and friends.

My favorite part of Costa Rica is the Hermosa Palms, which I discovered when I rented one of the homes that I currently own. This occurred 10 years ago. Up to now, I have acquired another 5 more homes in the same neighborhood. That’s how much I love the place!
Naturally, I love to travel and see different places, study their culture and spend time with the people I encounter.
Besides traveling, I also enjoy hiking, running, and any type of fitness really. If you are into similar things and like to spend time in a natural setting, you will love everything Costa Rica has to offer. Some of the best national parks, hiking trails, and untouched beaches are just minutes away.

I’d love to share my best running/hiking areas with you.
