Overview

About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

Custom home built in 2009 on 35 fenced and gated acres. Amazing views of the mountains with one of the best Pike's Peak views around.

Total seclusion yet only 1.5 miles to US Hwy 24 on a well maintained County Road. 6.5 miles from Woodland Park, a town of 10,000 which provides several grocery stores and numerous restaurants and services. 30 minutes from Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs with many tourist oriented activities and shopping. Hike the property and additional 25 acres across the road or lounge on one of 2 decks and enjoy the solitude with plenty of visiting wildlife, including the large Elk herd on the adjacent 1200 acre ranch.

Bag a “14 er” and climb Pikes Peak, or hike many of the different trails nearby. Close by there is world class fly fishing, mountain biking, unsurpassed Colorado snow skiing and white water rafting. You can also try your luck gambling at the historic Cripple Creek Mining District, a beautiful 20 mile drive.

This home has many upgrades including hickory cabinets with granite countertops in the kitchen and both baths, stainless steel appliances, tile and wood floors in living room and kitchen, bedrooms with carpeting, in floor heat, 46” plasma flat screen TV with surround sound (including the deck), Wi-Fi, 2 decks, one covered, and much more.

You're certain to have a wonderful and unforgettable Colorado vacation for just the two of you or for the entire family. This property is shared with another vacation rental they reside 750 yards apart and cannot be seen from each other. You can reserve both homes on the property for a larger group.

We do keep the driveway well plowed of snow in the winter, however the driveway does have a few ups and downs, so we do recommend 4 wheel drive in the winter and spring months.

Gorgeous &a relaxing cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was in a perfect location making it easy to visit all the sights we wanted to enjoy around the Colorado Springs area. Loved this beautiful cabin, so cozy, clean, lots of extras, gorgeous view of Pikes Peak, secluded.

Great holiday in Divide

  • 5 of 5

My husband, son, daughter and I spent 6 days in the cabin in August. It was the highlight of our trip to America this year.

The cabin made a fantastic base from which to explore the local area. It was very clean, extremely comfortable and well equipped.

The cabin offers wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. We all enjoyed watching the wildlife, particularly the humming birds feeding from the feeder located on the porch. During our stay we also saw blue jays, deer, squirrels and two calves.

We particularly liked the “eco-friendliness” of the cabin. The solar power was able to cater for almost all of our energy needs, although the back-up generator did step in to provide additional power if required.

We would definitely recommend the cabin to anyone looking for a fantastic holiday home from which to explore the many local attractions.

Relaxing time away

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was just what we expected. We stayed at the other cabin on the same piece of property last year. This time it rained alot but that was OK because we didn't want to run around sightseeing as much and we got to relax and enjoy time away together. Both times the cabins have been fantastic. The hot tub was fantastic to sit in on the few nights that it did not rain.

Fantastic

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is even better than it looks in the pictures. Such a cozy, rustic, yet luxurious place to vacation. Me and my wife just spent our honeymoon there for a few days and we have never been so relaxed! The hot tub is great and there's nothing like relaxing in the jets while looking at the beautiful mountain scenery. Everything inside is very updated and when the weather is not so good the TV with surround sound keeps you busy for sure. Can't say enough good things about it. Worth every penny. Will be a return customer for our next trip to CO.

Fantastic Cabin!!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first vrbo experience and it was fantastic! The owners were so helpful throughout the whole process of booking, quickly answering any questions we had. However, once we were in our cabin they gave us complete privacy and we never met them face to face.

The cabin was even better than the photos and the views were stunning! Everything was incredibly clean and the kitchen was very well stocked. The hot tub was nice and hot with great views. We got about a foot of snow while we were there and the owners were quick to plow the drive as soon as it stopped snowing. I would highly recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Thank you so much for the fabulous experience!

Loved the View!

  • 5 of 5

We had the most wonderful time at the sun cabin (it's as beautiful as the pics). With that awesome view, it was hard to venture out- but we did. We visited Cripple Creek, Monitou Springs, and Colorado Springs for shopping and sight seeing. We thought the cabin really wasn't that far out and Divide offered a small store that appeared well stocked. The cabin was also well stocked and had everything we needed. Thanks for having us, we loved visiting your state - it is Beautiful country !
