This is a nice house in a nice quiet community. It’s also a short walk over the dunes to the beach. The owner was very kind and helpful. The only drawbacks were the mosquitoes and the community laundry. The mosquitoes are relentless (highly recommended bringing bug spray and/or a thermacell). The community laundry room was hot and dingy. If you’re staying for a while plan not to be able to do a lot of laundry. Overall I would 100% recommend this place. We will be back.

We enjoyed our stay here. The beach and pool were relaxing. One small complaint is no exterior plugs for an extension cord for charging our boat.

Great Location

Excellent view of the Gulf, short walk to the beach. The unit has 3 bedrooms and 4 beds, which comfortably accomodated our group. This place is exactly what we wanted for our trip to the coast

We stayed for a week and had family ranging from 5 years to 68 years old. The space was clean and the kitchen well stocked with dishes and utensils. We LOVED the easy beach access and the clean, good sized pool. The hosts were very responsive and the property was as advertised. Some notes for future guests: the spiral staircase makes second floor access hard for anyone with mobility issues. There are no extra blankets so bring some if you like to be cozy! There are no beach chairs or deck chairs provided (deck does have a picnic table) so plan ahead and bring your own. We didn’t find anywhere to rent chairs within 2 hours.

Perfect Stay in Matagorda!

The condo was clean and comfortable, and the AC was able to keep everyone comfy and cool after all day on the beach! My family and I stayed here, and my mother has a limited range of motion and some balance issues, so the walk in showers were so perfect for her! Very easy check in and check out, and the property owner was so respensive and helpful for check in!

Hidden Gem

We had a great family vacation. We had plenty of room with 7 adults and 2 kids. The pool for the condos is great for adults and kids. They also have a pond on site that has some huge fish in it. You can easily walk to the beach or make a very short drive to get to the beach. My family had a wonderful time and look forward to going back some time.

Memorial Weekend 2023

Nice updated Condo with Beach view, pool on property, quick drive to the beach. My family and I enjoyed our time at Happy Place. We went to the beach a few times, went swimming, grilled a few times, close to shops, restaurants and Visitor center.
