I have written and rewritten this so many times trying not to be derogatory and avoid the blame game. It is hard to be called a liar and a cheat when that just isn't the case. The truth of this situation is that Jessica, admittedly, isn't "on her phone" so she missed the important messages telling her that the pool was under construction, it would be noisy, and offers to fully refund her money prior to her stay. The original message regarding noisy pool construction was sent 8 MINUTES after she booked. Several other messages were sent on subsequent days. She was a last minute booking which is why it was available in the first place. Someone else had cancelled because they were not okay with construction noise. (I didn't know the exact time or day the contractors would arrive until Wednesday the 25th, at which time I offered another option for a full refund. Unfortunately, she booked on Sunday and didn't look at any information except the code to get in until she arrived on Thursday night at 8 pm. From there she told me that none of the. messages "crossed over" until Friday morning of her stay. However, they must have come in sequence because she gained access to my home on Thursday night. I could go on and on about timing, messages, phone calls, and even refunds/ reimbursement which were offered and given, but I won't. I was very accommodating and flexible before, during, and after her stay. Sadly, she doesn't respond to her phone and so things went from bad to worse. She finally had her husband call me Friday during her stay. We talked and then, I waited patiently to see if they were going to finish soccer games and leave early. I would have increased their reimbursement for nights not used along with their noisy morning, but they ended up staying. Nevertheless, I sent a reimbursement for her noisy morning, but she may not have looked to see it. This 1994 home HAS NOT been fully gutted and remodeled which I feel is obvious in the pictures; however, we have done our best to update it for the time being and make it comfortable and nice for ourselves and our valued guests. I feel that it is sufficient for most considering the majority of my reviews are 4 and 5 stars. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience.
