Welcome to Eventide!

This 4BR/3.5BA dog-friendly home sleeps up to 12 total guests and is a great location for multiple families. You'll find the best Gulf views on the top floor of the main living area and Gulf side covered and furnished deck! The recently remodeled kitchen boasts brand-new stainless-steel appliances, plenty of counter space and room for multiple chefs. The dining table seats up to 8 with additional seating for 4 at the breakfast bar and an outdoor dining option on the covered deck. Up to 2 dogs allowed, 50lbs or less with advance approval for a $150 + tax pet fee.

The living room is comfortably furnished and thoughtfully decorated with a large, Smart TV and DVD player and a convenient nearby half bath. Also found on the top floor is a large, King Master bedroom with private bathroom with shower, garden tub and double vanity. You can enjoy the Gulf view from the expansive windows in this bedroom or step onto the covered deck for even more panoramic water views.

The 1st floor offers 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms as well as a recreational sitting room with TV and DVD player, which is a great activity and lounge space for younger family members. The first and largest of the 3 bedrooms has 2 Double beds, Smart TV, private bathroom with shower and access to the covered and furnished deck overlooking the swimming pool. Across the hall is the Queen bedroom with Smart TV and deck access, a hall bathroom with tub/shower combination and the Bunk bedroom with 2 Bunk beds (4 Twins). A convenient elevator travels from the ground floor to the top floor.

Outdoor amenities include a private swimming pool - heat available for a fee, fish cleaning station and hot/cold enclosed outdoor shower. Under-house parking and covered entry is available in the carport which also offers a great space to relax in the shade or to have the little ones play. A basketball hoop in the back yard makes for a quick game of H-O-R-S-E while you wait for burgers and steaks to cook on the nearby park-style charcoal grill.

Centrally located between the Gulf & the Bay, beach access is a quick 3-minute walk from the property and public access to the Apalachicola Bay is only a 5-minute stroll or a quick drive and is a great spot for kayak launching!

Besides being a laid-back beach destination, SGI is an incredibly bike friendly location! Directly across the street from the property is the 6-mile long bike path that will lead you back to the center of the Island where shops and restaurants are located or to the St. George Island State Park on the far East End of the Island. Use your complimentary beach gear credit toward bicycle rentals and explore the island on a pedal!

However you choose to spend your time on SGI, you can enjoy the ride at Eventide!

We Love SGI!!

There were 10 of us between two families and we really enjoyed our stay!! There was plenty of room for everyone and the property manager kept in contact often to see if we needed anything! It was a great time!!

Great home with good view

The house was furnished well upstairs with plenty of setting in the den. Lots of good outdoor furniture too. Kitchen was remodeled and bathrooms were nice. Queen bedroom and kids bedroom need dressers. You can see both the gulf of Mexico and the bay. The pool is on the small side. Overall great stay.

The pictures don't really do it justice on how much room there really is in the house. The elevator is a life saver when bringing up or taking down bags or for people that have trouble with stairs. The walk to gulf and bay are maybe 5 minutes and not much more than 5 minute drive to stores and restaurants on the island. Will definitely look for this place again the next time we come.

We really like that there is a living space for the kids on the first floor and one for adults on the top floor. TV's are all smart TVs. Extra beach towels! Plenty of parking spaces. Boys play basketball. We can see the ocean and it's just a short walk around the corner to the bay to see amazing sun sets. We always enjoy our stay at Eventide.

We stayed for the week with 4 adults and 3 kids and could have definitely fit a few more people! There is lots of space with the double living rooms! Great open concept on the top floor with kitchen, dining, living room! Plus such a beautiful view of the ocean! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need! (Tons of dishes, pots, pans, utensils)We take a lot of stuff with us to the beach! (Tent, chairs, sand toys, boogie boards, coolers, etc.) and it was totally doable with such a simple and short (3-5 min) walk down to the beach! It never felt crowded at the beach, we had our own space to relax and play everyday! The pool was perfect for my kiddos to splash and play! There is also lots of room for parking!

Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to St. George since I was little and this was one of my favorite stays !!! 5 o clock somewhere was always a fav house of ours and for this to house to be rebuilt and even better than before into Eventide it was just an incredible vibe! The elevator when out the night before we got there and the rental company called me immediately and handled it beyond professional. (Now a days I will say exceptional customer service is slim to none but they went above and beyond ) They also compensated us appropriately for the situation and even offered a whole team to come load our luggage into the house. Blessed to be at this house was an understatement and I was unbelievably surprised at how loaded this homes kitchen was as well as the cleaning supplies included. Thank you for blessing us with such an amazing place to have such a peaceful vacation ! I would ALWAYS recommend this house to stay at and it’s exceptionally accommodating for big groups even though we only had 5 with us it could sleep 12 easy!

This year we noticed some really nice updates on the stairs, beds and Vizio TVs. Bring your passwords! The kids have their living room on the first floor and the adults enjoy the living room on the top floor. There's plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Boys play basketball at the hoop then jump in the pool.We always have a great time and hate to leave.

The 3rd floor has a nice sitting area with lots of glass. The beach is only partially visible due to tall 3 story homes being built on the first row. This area is currently relatively quiet, but there seems to be a lot of development, which is unfortunate and does not fit in with the 'forgotten' coast theme.

This house has a great layout for a family such as ours with parents, adult children and grandchildren. The house is very clean, well maintained. The elevator is great for carrying your luggage and supplies to your floor level. The pool area is a fun space for family time, and the beach is a very short walk away. The representatives at Forgotten Shores were very helpful with reservations and with information while we were there. Highly recommend the rental company and this house.

Reviewer Comments: We are a family of six and we have stayed in many vacation homes in different areas so we can be critical but there were no complaints here! The house is fantastic!! It was clean and beautiful with a well stocked kitchen. It’s very spacious with two living areas and plenty of porch seating (where you can see glimpses of the ocean and hear the waves), and there is a basketball goal and private pool. There aren’t many restaurants on the island and the Piggly Wiggly express is the only thing close to a grocery store so we planned meals and shopped ahead. It’s a fairly short walk to the beach...across the road and down about two houses to the road that takes you to the beach path. If you take lots of gear to the beach or have small children I would take a wagon.

This house is large with 4 generously sized bedrooms. Kitchens and bathrooms are large and well-appointed also. The two queen beds in one room on the 2nd floor is a very nice addition, as is the half bath on the 3rd floor. The balconies provide ocean views while the windows on the back of the house provide bay sites. Truly a WOW to have both the ocean and the bay visible with the twist of the neck! Pool is small, but all that you really need. There is also a small basketball area...just an FYI. The walk to the beach is easy and fast. Great location! Very thankful for the elevator. If pushed to give a negative on this property, I would say that the water on the 2nd level was not as hot as I would have liked it (we did not notify management or I'm certain they would have fixed it so this is on us) and the pool furniture could use freshening, but other than that, it was ideal!

Beach Time!

Very close to the beach! We stayed for a week and had a great time. There were 10 of us and the house was big enough for all of us. Pool could have used a little maintenance (needed to be cleaned and some tiles were off). Clean house and as described. Would stay here again!

Winter fishing trip

The house was spotlessly clean……very well equipped kitchen and all furnishings were in good condition and very comfortable. Two small items…..the right-hand bathroom sink in the upstairs master suite drains very slowly…..needs repair. Also, the upstairs deck is badly stained….. needs thorough pressure washing…….neither item detracted from our stay……in all other respects the house was perfect! Jamie at Forgotten Shores is awesome! Very thorough and attentive! We shall return!
