Welcome to Big Mountain Cabin #2! Enjoy a new custom built experience. This cabin offers an open floor plan with high vaulted ceiling and a custom beam design. Cabin #2 is centrally located in the Black Hills just a few miles south of Rockerville. Many attractions are just a short drive away.
Mount Rushmore - 8 miles
Custer State Park - 12 miles
Michelson Trail - 12 miles
Reptile Gardens - 7 miles
Bear Country USA - 5 miles

Cabin #2 offers a kitchen stocked with dinner ware, pot and pan, utensils, toaster, coffee maker, and outdoor grill. Relax in a bed room that has a custom built queen log bed with a memory foam mattress. It has a fully furnished bathroom that provides a full tub and shower. All linens and towels are provided.

For all you hiking enthusiasts, this cabin is close to many national forest trails including Boulder Hill Mountain Trail. This trail head is 2.2 miles from Cabin #1. And for all you mountain bike enthusiasts, this cabin is 2 miles from Storm Mountain Trail. Storm Mountain trail offers 11.61 miles of pure fun!

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- Our cabins are on a hillside and there is only enough parking for one vehicle. If you have a extra vehicle, trailer, or motorcycle please message us before you make your reservation.
- If you are riding on a motorcycle, we ask that you be an experienced rider. The road to this cabin has loose gravel. If you have any questions please message us.

Overall, the property is great. A couple of items to be aware of is low water pressure in the shower and limited hanging space for clothes.

Thank you for your compliments about the cabin really appreciate them! We built them ourselves, so it really does mean the world to us. We also clean the cabins ourselves. While were cleaning we did find that the water pump breaker was popped. If we had known, we would’ve been able to fix it for you. You were absolutely wonderful guests, and we are grateful that you chose us for your vacation stay!

We booked this cabin for a last-minute getaway. We spent most of our time there exploring Custer and the Custer State Park. The cabin was exceptionally clean inviting and comfortable. The location was convenient to the Black Hills attractions. Everything was great! Thanks!

The stay was excellent. The only improvement in my opinion might be to have some kind of window shades in the high up windows so the sun isn’t beating down in your eyes in bed every morning bright and early. Other than that I would definitely stay there again!

The room was clean and it was nice and quiet. The view was great. We woke up to a cute ,fat muskrat every morning. The kitchen had everything we needed. Maybe just a few more coffee cups would be good and a couple more silverware but otherwise everything was perfect.. we would definitely come back again.

Good location. Like new clean. First tv that actual worked. After years of work motel stays!!,,lol JerryLoved the cabin, just the perfect fit for my husband & I. It was very clean and up to date with its features. The view was outstanding and has a deck just behind the kitchen to have your morning coffee. The bed was comfortable to sleep in and the lamp chargers next to the bed came in very handy. The bathroom has the metal bins attached to the counter to keep accessories in, a very nifty idea. The television is newer and the screen is very clear for enjoyable television watching as well. A great place to stay! Karen

Perfect location to discover all there is to do in the Black Hills. Our cabin was super clean, it had everything you need, and our host Jenn even checked in with us to see if we needed anything. We had the perfect experience. Would rate them 10 stars if the survey would let me!!

Jude and Jenn are the owners and operators of Big Mountain Cabins. Jude is a skilled log home builder, and has been building log homes for 30 years. In fact Jude built each cabin from the ground up. Jenn has experience in hotel management and a degree in Business administration. Both took their talents and built Big Mountain Cabins. Jude and Jenn have lived in the Black Hills for a good part of their lives. Jenn is actually a fifth generation to live in the Black Hills. A fun fact is the cabins are located a mile from where Jenn's great great grandparents homestead. Jude and Jenn are proud to call the Black Hills their home!
