The detached holiday home has a spacious living / dining area, two large bedrooms with double beds, a beautiful bathroom and a wonderful terrace from which you have a wonderful view over the Atlantic Ocean and with a little luck even can take a first look at Whales and Dolphins. The house is new, tastefully furnished and offers the possibility to enjoy a quiet holiday with high comfort.

Superschön!

Das Haus ist total ruhig am Rande des Dorfes gelegen. Die hohen Räume erzeugen ein Gefühl von Weite und Großzugigkeit und es ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Vom Geschirr, dem Besteck und der ganzen Kücheneinrichtung über die Inneneinrichtung bis zu den Yogamatten und den beiden Radiatoren passt alles bis ins Detail. Der Blick aus den Panoramafenstern, bzw. von der Terrasse: ein Traum. Wer Ruhe und Erholung sucht ist hier richtig. Eine absolute Empfehlung!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, la maison est au calme absolue, spacieuse et agréable. La vue est sublime ! La propriétaire est hyper réactive Je recommande absolument.

Garantie zum Wohlfühlen

Die positiven Bewertungen sind absolut zutreffend. Das großzügige Haus ist vollständig und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Auf dem Induktionsherd lässt es sich hervorragend kochen. Die ländliche Lage ist traumhaft. Es ist ruhig, der Blick aus dem Grünen auf das Meer ist in natura noch schöner, als die Fotos es vermitteln. Ein Auto ist obligatorisch - aber wenn man einmal keine Lust zum Fahren hat, kann man vom Haus aus auch schöne Spaziergänge machen. Ein Beispiel für einen abwechslungsreichen Rundweg ist der Weg nach oben, weiter "rechts" in Richtung Piedade / O Zimbreiro, dann nach unten, vorbei an einer Azulejo-Herstellung durch Wein- und Ananasfelder und schließlich über Manhenha wieder zurück nach oben zur Cachalote. Wir werden wiederkommen! P.S.: Das Internet hat durchgängig funktioniert. Und dass man nicht fernsehen kann, kann auch sehr zur Erholung beitragen :).

Entspannung bei herrlicher Aussicht

Das Haus begeistert durch seine Lage mit der tollen Aussicht. Die Ruhe trägt zur Erholung bei. Das großzügige Haus mit überdachter Terasse ist komplett eingerichtet, es gibt viele interessante Bücher, CD und DVD. Die Betreuung ist gut und sehr nett. Im Ort ist ein gutes Restaurant mit Fischgerichten. Die Versorgung erfolgt durch kleinere Läden in Piedade oder einen Supermarkt in Lajes.

Sehr schönes Haus an toller Lage

Das Ferienhaus ist wunderschön gelegen, toller Ausblick aufs Meer. Bei der Ausstattung ist alles dabei, was man braucht. Was für uns fehlte, war ein Tisch mit Stühlen auf der Terasse, damit man beim Essen den Panoramablick auch draussen richtig geniessen kann. Alles in allem ein modernes schönes Haus, wir kommen bestimmt wieder. September 2016 André und Eva

Komfortables Haus

Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war sehr gut. Die ganze Mietabwicklung verlief positiv. Die Schlüsselübergabe vor Ort durch einen Verwalter verlief ebenfalls sehr gut. Dieser versorgte uns noch mit weiteren Infos. Das Haus ist neuwertig und hatte grosszügige Zimmer, welche sehr schön ausgestattet sind. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet und hat einen Geschirrspühler. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir, dass das Haus mit einer Waschmaschine und einem Wäschetrockner ausgestattet ist. Als negativ Punkt wäre, dass der Fernseher und das W-Lan nicht funktioniert haben. Da das Haus am Rande, fast schon ausserhalb, des Dorfes liegt ist hier Ruhe Garantiert. Hier ist man von keinem Haus umgeben. Der Ausblick aufs Meer ist aber sicher.

Tremendous potential, great views, isolated location

My wife called the kitchen "minimalist". It has 4 pots, with a 3-burner stovetop and no range or microwave; and, a refrigerator slightly larger than my small fridge at work. When I offered to buy a microwave if I could get reimbursed, the owner noted "I personally never use a microwave and so far nobody else has needed one, so no I do not want one in the house..". And, that the house description was accurate: microwave not advertised, range oven not advertised, refrigerator advertised. All true. THIS IS A RENTAL HOUSE WHERE PEOPLE WITH DIFFERENT HABITS THAN YOUR OWN MIGHT VISIT, NOT YOUR PERSONAL EVERYDAY HOME. The owner lives overseas. We had to get and return the house keys from a "housekeeper" at his place of work, whereas in 3 other cases when we rented houses the hosts met us at the airport or ferry port and escorted us to the rental. The owner will claim that his place of work was on our way to the airport. Indeed, which doesn't take away from the fact that if there is to be an inconvenience, the renter will experience it. The directions to the house were advertised as "easy", which makes sense when you know the way. We found it eventually. In all 3 of the other Azorean islands we have visited we were escorted. For the readers who think we are spoiled, we agree. The owner will claim that never before has there been a problem with the directions. For a new and modern house, it was annoying that the shower drain took hours on end to drain as we showered. I had water shoes for the natural swimming areas, never thinking that me and my 2 family members would need to use the shoes during our showers to avoid standing in undrained water. I like to sip my coffee during the morning. I had to use a saucepan each time to reheat the coffee, then off to clean the saucepan - annoying. We like pastries. Each time we had to use the skillet, turning them over and over and then off to clean the skillet - annoying. We had leftover food some of the time. Each time we wanted to heat it up... - annoying. The owner agreed to a nightly charge refund after I communicated that SATA had changed our return by 1 day. She could have claimed "too bad", although she was told well before the cancellation policy date. Having binoculars on the property is nice. There are comfortable lounge chairs available for the patio area. The large trash can in the kitchen was very functional. The beds and the living room couches were the most comfortable of the 3 rentals we had this trip.

Perfekt - hier wird an Alles gedacht!

Die Vermieter-Angaben zur Ausstattung wurden tatsächlich in der Realität noch übertroffen. Sehr schönes, großzügig geschnittenes, mit viel Liebe eingerichtetes Ferienhaus. Sehr netter, unkomplizierter Kontakt mit den Vermietern - sowohl im Vorfeld per E-Mail, als auch dann persönlich vor Ort. Die Küche ist für Selbstversorger sehr reichhaltig und großzügig ausgestattet. Beim Eintreffen fanden wir ein makellos sauberes Domizil vor. Auch die gesamte Gartenanlage um das Haus herum ist sehr gepflegt und beeindruckend. Sogar eine gute Flasche Rotwein stand zum Empfang auf dem Tisch! All das rechtfertigt locker fünf Sterne - ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis! Die Lage war ideal als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Ausflüge im Westen der Insel (Sete Cidades = um die Ecke). In Ginetes selbst gibt es wenig gastronomische Highlights, was uns aber überhaupt nicht gefehlt hat. Ein gut sortierter Supermarkt befindet sich im Ort und die nächsten empfehlenswerten Restaurants sind nicht weiter als 15-20 Autominuten entfernt. Wir würden dieses Ferienhaus jederzeit uneingeschränkt unseren freunden empfehlen und kommen selbst auch gerne wieder.

Traumurlaub - 100% Weiterempfehlung

Das Ferienhaus auf der Insel Pico hat uns sehr gefallen. Man wohnt mitten in der Natur (Vögel, Fledermäuse und Gelbschnabelsturmtaucher kann man sehen und hören) und hat einen grandiosen Ausblick auf das Meer von der großen Terasse, wie auch aus dem Wohn- und Essbereich. Das Haus ist neu und modern eingerichtet mit geräumigen Bad und großer Dusche. Schlüsselübergabe durch den örtlichen Verwalter war problemlos. Sehr empfehlenswert ist übrigens auch das Fischrestaurant unten im Dorf. Wir würden immer wieder gerne hier noch einmal den Urlaub verbringen und geben 100% Weiterempfehlung.

beautiful view

We had a nice holiday in Manhanha at the tip of Pico island. The new house is equipped with all that's necessary and the view from the couch/terrace is unique. Sunrise over the ocean, what else do you need for a perfect start of the day?
