The apartment sits in a sought-after, historic neighborhood. The Sagrada Familia cathedral, Barcelona's defining monument, is literally a few streets away.

Eixample Dreta district is famed for its buildings with grand, balconied façades and there are plenty of shops and cafés.

A short stroll through these beautiful streets takes you right to the centre, with the fashionable Passeig de Gracia, Plaza Catalunya and all of Barcelona's popular attractions.

Nearby metro station: Tetuan (L2, purple line), Monumental (L2, purple line), Girona (L4, yellow line).

In the lounge there is 1 sleeper sofa, side table, designer rug and floor lamp, storage unit with complete audiovisual equipment and a ceiling-to-floor window over the street.

Its dining suite has an extendable table and seating for 5.

BED- AND BATHROOM

The master bedroom has 1 double bed, side-tables, lamps and a large closet. A second bedroom has 2 single beds, side-table and lamp, with sufficient closet space.

In the lounge, the sofa is converted into 1 double bed.

The bathroom has a full bath with shower, washbasin, WC.

KITCHEN

Apart from providing a complete set of kitchenware, the kitchen is also fully equipped with:

Refrigerator, freezer, electric cooker and oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, juicer, kettle, dishwasher.

The counter with bar stools is an additional space for dining.

Why Jose Antonio Rodriguez chose Barcelona

I bought this apartment in 1997, and it was my own home during 8 years. Because family was increasing I need to change to another apartment bigger, but in the same area that was the area that I like to live. I filled a bit nostalgic to leave the apartment as a my own home. Since them I have been renting the apartment for tourist and professional reasons. As the experience has been so good for clients and for me. Later I decided to by four additional apartment in the same building and for the same reasons.

Sunny modern apartment in Eixample

The apartment was perfect for our family of 4 (kids = 18 & 20 years old). Kitchen was well-equipped for our needs and it and the living area were bright and sunny. Bedrooms are smaller but beds are comfortable. Location is awesome. Quiet, safe neighbourhood with lots of places to eat and within walking distance (or convenient to subway system) for visiting all of the sites in Barcelona. Our host Jose was fantastic and communication was easy. He even helped us book a taxi to get to the airport. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Host!

The apartment was very convenient to everything that was on our bucket list. Jose is a wonderful host, very courteous, accommodating and prompt. I would recommend Jose and any one of his properties.

Great neighbourhood, central location in Barcelona

Jose is a great host, was out on the street waiting for us when the taxi arrived from train station. Showed us everything, marked places on a map, and responded immediately to any problems. The flat is bright, very quiet at night as the bedrooms are at the back away from the street, Washing machine was a plus as we had just hiked for 4 days.

Downside would be no curtains on kitchen windows and even in early May it was very hot, being south facing, and that window did not open. There is AC but that doesn't.t stop the sun coming into window. Otherwise a good place to stay when one is out and about in Barcelona and want a central location.

In relation to your comments, yes you are right at the kitchen window there is plenty of light and sun. However you have an screen that you dan push down and avoid the sun. Also yes you are right the window can not be open, but this is because is like a counter bar, and for security reason, can not be open (you have a note there of the window that show that). nice place to enjoy Barcelona

We had a great time in Barcelona in Jose's appartment. Placed near the Tetuan metro, you can enjoy all corners of Barcelona easily. Shops and restaurants around the blocks make the place delightful.

Don't Hesitate!

If you are looking for an opportunity to immerse yourself in a day in the life of Barcelona- then consider this great apartment offered by Jose as your home away during your stay. Jose is a welcoming host making the rental process from start to finish- easy, efficient and worry free. The apartment comfortably accommodated my family of 4- and we enjoyed walking the streets of this residential area- enjoying the local cafes, restaurants, fruit markets and bakeries. Local metro stops makes getting to tourist areas in short time. 2 or 3 stops will have you in the heart of the Gothic quarter or Las Ramblas- or a 25 minute power walk. Closer walking distance to the Arc De triomphe or Sagrada Familia (a must see).

Glad to have made our decision to say outside of the tourist areas - as it offered a truer experience of the Barcelona culture - and Jose's hospitality and great apartment made that complete.
