Lovely property in the vineyards near St Emillion

We had a wonderful stay. Caroline is diligent and responsive as a host. She arranged for a local chef to visit and cook a spectacular lunch for us and the owner Clement did the wine pairing for the dishes that were served. The property is close to zst Emillion as well as grocery stores which was vert convenient.

The property is a very old, charming farmhouse with beds for 12, a pool, and a location near many wineries and the quaint village of Saint-Émilion, which was the main appeal for our family group (ages 10–75).The owner was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and responded quickly to my many questions. The interior of the house was neat and clean. The beds were very comfortable, and the pool was clean, refreshing, and a welcome relief from the heat.A few things were challenging. There are only two toilets, which is not obvious from the listing. The original wood floors on the second floor are charming but splintered and uneven in places, especially around the toilet room. Sandals or slippers must be worn! The wooden floor beneath the outdoor table is also splintered and has holes where chair legs can sink.Several lamps did not work or needed new bulbs, although all appliances worked well.Please note that glass must be separated from other recycling and taken to a collection point about ¼ mile away. This was unexpected and inconvenient, especially after we had combined everything in the recycling bag. Given the amount of wine consumed during our stay (LOL!), this information should be clearly posted in the kitchen and included prominently in the Welcome instructions.Finally, the landscaping was quite overgrown and did not resemble the listing photos. Some trimming and removal of dead plants and loose branches would greatly improve the property's appearance.

This property couldn't be better! We stayed for a week with our family of 11, with a range of ages from 8 to 81. Everyone had a wonderful time. It is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Has a charming old French farmhouse feel, but with modern amenities - especially in the kitchens and bathrooms. There are three double rooms inside the house, one dorm-style kids' room with a double bed and two twins, plus an additional double room in a tiny detached room/house near the pool. The pool and sauna are great, and the dining pergola is perfect, and larger than the photos make it appear. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating and quick to respond. Everything you could possibly need is a quick drive to Libourne - 5 minutes away. And Saint Émilion, in the other direction, is a picture-perfect, cobbled-street, church-atop-the-hill French town. A 35 minute drive to Bordeaux, and a longer drive to Cap Ferret. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Enjoy your vacation in the vineyards!

Super logement

Une maison très agréable, bien décorée, avec une cuisine très bien équipée et fonctionnelle.L'extérieur est reposant.La maison est idéalement située au milieu des vignes de Saint Emilion. Je recommande.

Grande maison entre Libourne et St Emilion

Grande maison aménagée avec goût et extrêmement bien équipée pour un groupe d'ami.e.s ou des vacances en famille : beaucoup de couchages, cheminée, grande table/cuisine équipée (comme rarement vu dans des locations saisonnières), spa, bain nordique, piscine... Clément, le propriétaire du domaine, peut vous proposer une dégustation de son vin - je recommande. Encore merci à Caroline pour la gestion de l'arrivée et du départ !
