Located on 320 acres in the High Desert Mountains of Fort Davis, our retreat overlooks stunning canyons and rugged landscapes. Hike the Davis Mountains, visit historic Fort Davis, or explore the art and style of nearby Marfa.

This rustic space, adorned with wooden furniture and a cozy fireplace, invites you to unwind and relax. Desert light and landscape serve as part of the interior design, naturally immersing the unit into its surroundings. The outdoor seating area lets you soak in the expansive outdoor spaces, designed for big nature and high adventure. Experience the air, light, and colors of the mountain desert under brilliant night skies, connecting deeply with the spirit of the American West.

PLEASE NOTE:

- The property requires a damage deposit of $50/stay/unit on the credit/debit card provided. The deposit is required for EACH UNIT and is refunded IN FULL upon check-out.

- Early check-in is subject to availability upon arrival.

Amazing!

Beautiful cabin! Would highly recommend! The king sized beds in each bedroom with their own bathroom was very convenient. The beds were super comfy, the views were spectacular, and the cabin had everything we needed. Great mini-vacation!

Weekend in West Texas for the Observatory

What a great property, great views, and very comfortable. My family and another family of four stayed for the weekend to enjoy Fort Davis and the MacDonald observatory. Highly recommend staying here. Beautiful stars at night very quiet and wonderful fresh air.

Perfect house

The four of us loved staying at this house. It was perfect for a gathering place with other family members staying at the state park. The kitchen was well equipped, beautiful property to explore and the fireplace was ideal. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Hidden Hideaway

Great 2 night stay. Convenient to the Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute and McDonald Observatory, although the star show from the property was already unmatched! Very clean, spacious and comfortable. Hope to return with family/friends!

Great house, great location and great views. We loved staying there and would not hesitate to stay there again. The only thing lacking is the kitchen. It would be perfect if it were stocked with more pots and pans.

We loved our stay at the Rock House with all of its windows and views. The bedrooms all had their own bathroon, which was great. I would highly recommend this house and look forward to returning.

Rock House Cabin

Rock House Cabin was Great! 5-Stars for sure.Only thing that could make it better, would be to put up a game feeder out in the pasture. We watched 14-Elk the next canyon over to the south-west, Mule deer and 2-Aoudad Rams, would be nice to watch wildlife closer on the 20-acres! Look forward to next stay!

The views and cabin exceeded our expectations. Truly one of the most gorgeous spots Texas had to offer. We had a small maintenance issue and the host’s team could not have been kinder or quicker to respond. We hope to return!

Beautiful location and wonderful house!

Our family did a weekend get away to the Davis Mountains. The Rock House for perfectly situated and appointed for our stay. The views are incredible and location offers easy access to area attractions! The historic house gives you an authentic feel of mountain living and offers spacious bedrooms and living areas. Maggie was great and we did not encounter any problems during our stay. We will return!

Would help future renters if there was instructions on how to use the central air system along with connecting the internet to the dish , but overall will come back again ! 🤙
