The Lavender Cottage features 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Along with an open kitchen, dining, and living area, the home features a wonderful screened porch that offers another area to visit and enjoy dining together. The home has wonderful views of Scobee and Sleeping Lion Mountain and the old Ft Davis fort. The home has a fully fenced back yard, perfect for our guests' furry friends. Watch the sunrise from the back yard and porch and the sunset from the front porch. Enjoy stargazing at night, walk one block to Main Street in Ft. Davis or enjoy a ride on the 2 cruiser bikes. The Big Bend Suite has a king sized bed, dressing table with make up mirror and stool, lamps with USB ports, and an ensuite bath with large shower. Luxury bedding and towels, lavender bath products and a walk in closet. El Cuarto de San Antonio features a queen sized bed, dressing table with make up mirror and stool, lamps with USB ports and a nice closet. The adjoining hall bath has a tub/shower. Luxury bed linens & towels & lavender bath products. Le Chambre de Paris is the largest bedroom and has a king sized bed, large dressing table with make up mirror and stool, lamps with USB ports and a nice closet. The ensuite bath features a double sink vanity and a nice shower. This bedroom has its own AC and heater.
Wonderful photography and art throughout this home - a great place to enjoy time with family and friends. There is a double carport and a circular drive for parking.

Far West Texas Spring Break

This was the perfect base camp for our spring break in far West Texas. The house was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Our teenagers and dog loved the house as well. Highly recommend this house and will book it again.

Comfy Cottage Conveniently Located

We had a wonderful stay in Fort Davis at the Lavender Cottage. We came for spring break with our 7yr old. The cottage was a perfect place to relax between visiting Fort Davis historic site, McDonald Observatory and Davis Mountain State Park. The house is well stocked and has an amazing outdoor area and covered porch. We enjoyed spending maximum time outside. We highly recommend staying at the Lavender Cottage and hope we can come back again to stay.

Exceptional!

Beautiful property, excellent location! The Lavender Cottage is charming, welcoming, and spacious. Fabulous view of the mountains and the night sky. From the moment we walked in, the owner’s love for the cottage and attention to detail was obvious. We enjoyed our stay immensely. We will stay there anytime we are in Ft. Davis. 😁💕

Feels like home

This was probably the best vacation rental we have stayed in. It felt the most like our home in terms of cleanliness, accessibility, modernity, and amenities. Loved that it had one bathroom per bedroom. Made it easy to accommodate 4 adults. Really wish we had planned a week long trip to stay here. The hosts are absolutely delightful, lovely to talk to, very responsive.

Great Location

This was a great location for visiting the State Park, McDonald’s Observatory, and the Fort. Very close to Marfa as well, which was a plus. Outside area was spacious and conveniently located in a culdasac for privacy and nice & quiet. House instructions asked us to keep AC no lower than 72 but host emailed and asked us not to lower past 74. I’m a rule follower, and did as I was asked, but this made it a bit too warm in the house. After a long hot day of running and hiking, I would have preferred it a bit cooler. The house had dust balls and wasn’t as clean as I would have hoped for. All in all I give it 4 out 5 tho! 😊

This beautiful property has everything you need for an awesome stay and the views from the patio are amazing. The rooms are extremely nice with plenty of space. Thank you for a lovely stay and hope to book again!

Beautiful Views, Comfortable and Well-Equipped House

The Lavender Cottage was perfect. We enjoyed the beautiful mountain views, bird watching and star gazing opportunities, and convenient access to town. The house had everything we needed in the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, outdoor space, etc — lots of little touches that made it a very enjoyable stay.

This is the perfect place to stay if your going to Fort Davis. It’s beautiful and had everything we could possibly need. Very quiet, but close to everything. We will try staying there every time.

We had a wonderful time. The property was so nice and clean. Beds were very comfortable. The outdoor area was better than expected. The view was incredible and everything was provided that we needed to enjoy our stay. Highly highly recommend this property.

Great Stay!

This property had everything we wanted and need. It was conveniently located to town and the state park. The owner was extremely accommodating, as our dates and plans changed a bit. Our family had great time, and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Perfect spot

Perfect location! Just a few minutes drive from Davis Mountains State Park and the conveniences of town. The views are incredible. Pictures don't do them justice. The home had everything we needed for comfortable relaxing five day stay (with an infant!) We were greeted with a nice bottle of wine from a local winery and a charcuterie board. Considering my family usually camp or stay in the lodge when we visit this truly felt like a luxury vacation. Temperature dropped to 6 degrees during our stay and we were warm and cozy. Cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely stay again for future trips!

Great stay in Fort Davis

This rental property was very comfortable and cozy, we felt right at home. Probably the best stocked rental we’ve stayed at - left coffee, snacks, condiments, bottled water and more for us! Owners were very responsive with questions. House is in a great location, very close to center of town. Will definitely be back if we find ourselves in Fort Davis again!

Perfect for a work trip

My coworker and I stayed at this property for about a week on a work trip to West Texas. We really enjoyed our stay. The house is set up very nicely with three nice bedrooms and three full baths, and had great touches throughout (like a local bird guide on the screened-in back patio!) and was very clean. Everything was stocked well, and they even had a cute little dog feeding area. The location was perfect, super close to the main Fort Davis street but in a quiet spot. The owners were wonderful to work with, and were very responsive to both VRBO messages and texts. We ended up needing to extend our stay an extra night and they were very easy to work with to get the extra night paid for. I would definitely stay here again if we're back in Fort Davis!
