Luxury Adobe Home near Marfa and McDonald Observatory

Recently renovated 100 year old Adobe house with views of Sleeping Lion mountain. Located in the heart of historic Fort Davis on a quiet side street just three blocks from State Street, Agave House was completely renovated in 2021 to a very high standard. The interior is contemporary with a Sante Fe influence, featuring vaulted beamed ceilings in the living room as well as a wood burning fireplace. Original art in the form of paintings and wall hangings is displayed throughout the house. The well-equipped kitchen is all new with dramatic concrete counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The main bedroom has a king bed, sitting area, walk in closet and a private porch. The en-suite bathroom has a luxurious shower and a claw foot tub for your enjoyment. The second bedroom has a queen bed and shares the main en-suite bath. Bedroom 3 has two twins and its own bath with shower. There are multiple outdoor seating areas with views of the surrounding mountains and historic neighborhood. The house also includes a car port. Marfa and the McDonald Observatory are both about a 20 minute drive from Agave House.

I rarely feel compelled to leave a review, but this home was truly wonderful. The house is very clean, well appointed, decor is tasteful, in a great location, and deserving of its high rating. We fell in love a little with this town, and a huge part of that was the comfort we had in our accommodations. We will be back for sure!

Love the Adobe

We had a wonderful stay at the Adobe while we were visiting family and friends around Ft Davis! The Adobe is so clean and inviting and we certainly appreciated David’s quick responses to our messages. This is our 3rd stay at the Adobe and it really meets our needs with 3 sleeping areas and large living room! It’s great to know you’ll get a reliable place to stay that is extremely clean and has working AC and hot water! Thank you David, we’ll be back!

Great family home base in Fort Davis

Easy, comfortable, well appointed home in a great location in Fort Davis. We could walk to everything in town and had gorgeous views of the cliffs. I’ll forever have memories hanging out in the front yard during sunset while my kids kicked a ball and ate popsicles. Just a great spot.

Clean, beautiful interior

This home is more lovely inside than you might imagine. Beautiful artwork everywhere. Super clean throughout. Good water pressure for showers. Could use a few more items in kitchen as zero spices. (But the granola was lovely! Would be good to have a Salt shaker with salt In it and not packets in it, a cooking pan that is more higher quality (the one there warped a bit and didn’t lay flat on the nice range). Could use some touch ups in the “back” area of the yard as it was horribly dusty to sit out there. Overall though a super nice place! Do not miss going to the Chihuahuan Desert Center just up the road; totally worth it.Coul

Lovely adobe home

We were a little skeptical when we saw the outside, but the inside is amazing. It is beautifully decorated, spacious & very comfortable. Since there were only two is us we only used the front bedroom. It was large with a sitting area & very comfortable bed. We loved the bathroom with its colorful tile & the kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals. We highly recommend this rental if you are staying in the area.

Great location

This house was pretty much perfect for the five of us. The location is walking distance to town center and only 10 minutes by vehicle to Davis Mountains State park. Everyone in our group liked the house.

Excellent Experience

We had a great experience at this Vacation rental. Very clean, nice amenities such as soap, shampoo. conditioner, dish soap and laundry soap. Beds were comfortable. Ac worked perfectly! We had a very enjoyable stay.

Great house in a beautiful small town

We were happy in every respect with our stay in Fort Davis. The house is within walking distance of all FD businesses but the striking mountain scenery that surrounds the town is visible at all times. My favorite activity, despite the rather low temperatures in January, was to take long walks around the town and up toward the majestic cliffs. We all agreed on departure that it was one of our favorite stays.
