We stayed for a long weekend with 6 adults, 3 kids and 2 dogs. The property was great! It was very clean, a nice layout to fit a big group and lots to do on the property while also being a short drive to other areas. The hosts communicated extremely well and everything was perfectly taken care of.

Great place - plan to return again!

We loved staying at this house. We had young kids with us that had plenty to keep them entertained on the property. Margaret was great to work with!

This property is beautiful inside and out. The bedroom accommodations are very comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is set up nicely for prepping and cooking. The outdoor areas are lovely. The red loungers are so comfortable to sun in. The fishing was great for my husband and son. Around 15 bass caught. Location with grand mere and Warren dunes state parks was excellent and close to two neighboring downtown areas we visited. Lots of bakeries to visit. Warren dunes was excellent for a beach day. Overall a great experience

Great Property

We loved our stay. The property was nicely equipped, very clean and had very nice, modern decor. The outdoor space had everything from games to relaxation by the fire pit and lake.

This property is amazing, inside and out. The house was very clean, spacious, well- maintained, and had everything you need, plus some extra thoughtful touches. Outside the house has so many areas for a group to hang out and enjoy the outdoors whether that’s under a large umbrella on deck chairs, around the campfire, in kayaks/canoe, playing yard games, fishing off the dock, or in the hot tub…it has it all for outdoor entertainment. The host is lovely, very responsive, and accommodating. You will love it!

Myself and a large group of friends stayed and this was a great place! Very comfy stay and had everything we could think of for the stay! They even left us stuff for smores! The location was really great as well. Would highly recommend!

Perfect Getaway Spot

Michigan get away

Beautiful large lake house with plenty of activities for children and adults. Close to beaches at the dunes. Home is well supplied with everything you need. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with adults and five grandchildren.

Beautiful property, perfect for our group! We had a 40th bday gathering for me and it was able to house most of my friends and their families. We kayaked a ton, had a great campfire for s'mores, and enjoyed the outdoor space greatly. I could not have asked for a better way to ring in a new decade.

Beautiful Lake House

This lake house was immaculate and very welcoming. Our host, Margaret O'Connor, was always available to answer questions at any time of the day. She offered suggestions for places to visit in the area. She was wonderful! Our family loved everything there was to do on the property and at nearby Lake Michigan. This place will not disappoint!

Absolutely Fantastic

This property met and exceeded every expectation we had for it - a fantastic place to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, with every modern amenity we could possibly ask for, and some we didn't even expect. 11 out of 10, would absolutely come back and do some laps on the lake again!

Great multi-generational lakeside vacation!

Lovely setting, large impressive home with amenities to spare! Virtually everything is provided for indoor and outdoor fun. Be aware that you may hear gunfire from a nearby shooting range; the homeowners were very responsive and are doing what they can to limit the disruption. We all (from 17 - 68) had a truly wonderful vacation!

A peaceful summer getaway perfect for a big group

Amazing set up with all the amenities for summer. I stayed with my family—all with particular tastes and needs—and this was perfect. We had plenty of spaces, bedrooms, and bathrooms to spread out, and made full use of the various amenities and lounges, both indoor and out. We loved taking the kayaks out on the water, looking for turtles, identifying birds, and roasting s'mores by the firepit. Some nice local hikes and a short drive to gorgeous Warren Dunes beaches. Great breweries in the area too. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing!

Even better than the pictures. The host is A+, great communication, super friendly, easy to get a hold of when we had a question. The home is simultaneously cozy and modern, and the layout gives lots of opportunity for both privacy and togetherness. Lots of amenities on-site (games, books, outdoor gear, etc.), and walking distance to hiking and Lake Michigan. We also loved kayaking the little lake…I saw turtles sunning themselves! Truly awesome stay, 10/10 would recommend.

Lake House in the Woods.

Beautiful home on a small lake with lots of sand, woods, and nature. Perfect floor plan with one or more gathering spaces preteens, teens, and adults both indoors and outdoors. the teens and young adults loved the kayaks and canoe. The HVAC system worked great and the beds were very oomphy. Best of all it is only 10 miles from the park where we hold our annual family reunion and approximately 10 miles from downtown St Joe.

Excellent property

We had a lovely time at this house. The furnishings are very nice and there was a lot of space for the six of us, and we really enjoyed all of the amenities. The house is in a very nice area, a close drive to Lake Michigan beaches and a number of nice restaurants and towns. The host also seemed very kind and professional, and provided helpful recommendations. Lastly, we appreciated how much there was to do. While guests should note that the house does not have direct access to a large lake (or Lake Michigan itself) and the kayaks/canoes are only near a small pond, we still had fun kayaking and enjoyed the grill, hot tub, and other games.

We had a wonderful stay with our group of nine, five adults and four kids ages five to eight, and everyone had a great time. The house was perfect for us: spacious, with plenty of room to spread out, and the beds were comfortable. The kayaks were in great condition and the lawn games were a hit with kids and adults alike. The appliances were excellent, and the host was gracious and communicated well throughout. We're already looking forward to coming back.
