Get away from it all and soak up some Blue Ridge serenity in this wooded hideaway, boasting just under two acres of lush greenery to explore! When you arrive, you will be greeted by a rustic exterior that screams classic cabin, yet inside, you will find tall ceilings, lovely furnishings, and all of the modern comforts needed to have a memorable stay. When mealtimes come around, the dining table and full kitchen will come in handy for preparing and enjoying meals together. Plus, everyone can gather on the back deck on warm summer evenings to sip a glass of wine and reminisce about the fun that was had that day. A private hot tub adds an extra layer of relaxation.

The fireplace is not operational.
All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

Wasn't very clean at all. There was hair in the bed sheets. Someone's razor in the shower. Floor in kitchen was sticky. Fridge had random spills and hair in it.

Weekend anniversary trip

The cabin was perfect for our anniversary trip. The house was clean and spacious. It was close to everything we were wanting to do and secluded enough that we could enjoy the leaves changing without traffic going by. We would definitely stay again.

Fantastic

Perfect house for teen girls. Enough room to spread out and great location for outdoor getaway. House was super clean. Everything was on point. The girls loved the hot tub and were able to watch movies and sing along. It does take time to get up and down the mountain to the city so we cooked every morning and evening and ate out for lunch after adventures. Cannot praise Vacasa enough. Never booked through them before but will be the first place to search for next vacation.

Family Thanksgiving Retreat

Property easily accessible with regular vehicle, but entrance into the property requires stairs,not appropriate for mobility limited people. Spacious for large family with three levels, providing ample space. Cleanliness of linens and bathrooms was great. Some issues or challenges included: — entrance door lock did not always function required multiple attempts for entry despite following instructions provided —living room TV remote not operating not synced — rental was for eight people, but only four chairs at the table — kitchen was well supplied, items had been put away soiled with food stuck on, small kitchen, large refrigerator prevented oven door from opening — hand mixer under cabinet, not operable —***on the last night (3AM) in the upstairs loft the guest was awakened by a BAT! We were unable to remove it, we were unable to coax it outside needs to be removed!

Great weekend at the Thompson Lodge! If you’re looking for a quiet spot, look no further. Beautiful home with everything you need. Every room was spotless and the fireplace on the deck and large hot tub were awesome. Highly recommend this getaway.

Good review…….That would be a challenge. We even reached out to Vacasa. They offered a hot tub fee refund. That was it. $30. No water pressure at all! .

Lovely Cabin

We had a great time at the Thompson Lodge. The cabin is spacious with a cozy feel. It was lovely to wake up to the views of the mountains and getting to experience nature firsthand. We are definitely looking forward to book this property again.

Great Hideaway Cabin

We loved our stay here. It was privately tucked away in the woods with a beautiful view from the porch. The wood burning fireplace outside on the porch was great. The only down side is that it seemed somewhat dusty and the downstairs/basement area with bedroom and den was very musty. The hot tub was not clean the first day we arrived, but housekeeping was very responsive and came and cleaned it the next day.
