Wonderful mountain cabin that sits on the Middle Fork of Flathead River in Hungry Horse, Montana. Can drive or fly into Glacier International airport(12 miles ) Lots of room to move about ~2200sf plus full deck. Fully updated furnishings. Clean and easy care.

Well-constructed with an eye to detail, this mountain cabin is all cedar inside and out, floor to ceiling cathedral windows and an unobstructed view to the mountains, river and park like setting across the river.

A gourmet cook’s delight, so there are more things in the kitchen than not! Make coffee in the morning and sit on the deck and watch the eagles soar, the badgers build their dam and hummingbirds feeding right by your chair. As there are no city lights at night, sit on the deck to watch the moon and the stars shine. And the 'big old' moon smiles right down on you!

3 bedrooms easily sleep 2-6. 2 baths. Internet and local phone service included. Cell phones work well.

Big screen TV should you need to catch your favorite movie. The loft also offers a tv. We have compiled a list of 'Things to do',brochures and maps available for your use at the cabin. Locals are very friendly and will help you get where you want to go. best food shoping is Hungry Horse local store or Super 1 in Columbia Falls.

This is an excellent spot to establish your 'base camp' for summer/winter activities, fishing, antique hunting, golfing, local theater, hunting and skiing. Or just to do nothing but watch the river run by!

Float your raft from Blankenship Bridge to your backyard(lazy 3 hours). Fish along the way. Raft float is gentle. Eat pizza at Moose's in Kalispell, good breakfast and lunch at the 'Glacier Grill'95 minttes from house, ice cream at the Hucklberry Restuarant in Hungry Horse, Shop at the local grocery store' Canyon Foods (also has dvds),best turkey sandwich and reubens at Scotty's in Kalispell, yarn shop in Kalispell(Woolen Collectibles located in Sasafrass store )

Our cabin offers catering and babysitting. One has not lived until they have tasted Kacy's 'huckleberry ribs' Exclusive to our cabin!!

No swimming in the river. The river current is unpredictable for swimming.

Take a short trip to Historic towns of Whitefish (15 miles), Kalispell (18), Airport (15), Big Fork (26). Go to Big Mountain and take the Gandola to the top and see the breathtaking view of the Flathead Valley. Golf in the many good golf courses in the area. Eating and entertainment at your finger tips! Something always happening.

For kids, visit the Amazing Fun Center(15 minutes) or the Big Water Slide in Columbia Falls (15 minutes). Many good hikes and picnic areas in Glacier NatIonal Park.

We are situated 3 miles from the Hungry Horse Reservoir. Great place to swim, boat, waterski or fish.

The Hungry Horse reservoir has pristine water so clear you can see the bottom. You can also have a picnic on one of the small islands in the reservoir and look out at the Great Continental Divide. Bring your boat, free boat launches too. This place is a local secret so don't tell anyone!

This is our most favorite place on earth! We are happy to share the 'Montana' experience with you. So come enjoy, relax, hile, bike, camp, ride horses, ski, hunt or just sit on the deck...... You won't regret it!! And this too may become your favorite spot!

My husband and I bought this place just after it was built. We LOVE it here. There is so much to do or not!. Our family has enjoyed the Horseback riding ,soccer camps, hiking, knitting, pools, summer day camps, scultpture.painting and hunting etc.. We like to go to Lake MacDonald to swim or go to the Hungry Horse Reservoir to boat, fish and play in the water. We like the location as we are centrally located close to some of the best summer and winter sports in Montana, Glacier National Park, Whitefish, Kalispell, Airport, and Bigfork. This is truly a piece of paradise! You won't be disappointed! And I am sure, won't want to leave!

ASHER WHITE purchased this cabin in 1999

What makes this cabin unique

Beautiful location. Private. Peaceful. Winter boasts the Whitefish Ice Festival. Not to miss!! Lots of wintersports for all ages. We have a list of 'Things to do' and maps available for you when you come to stay. There is just too much to list in this tiny spot! There is the Montana Country Fair in August which is tons of fun. Guestbook comments from the owner

We checked out early yesterday morning and it took all day getting back home. Our stay was great. The weather was rainy, but we still saw many sights. Your cabin was a bright spot on this trip. It was lovely, and the huge windows overlooking the river made us feel like we were experiencing the outdoors even when we were stuck inside

The house is beautiful and very well equipped.

  • 5 of 5

Would stay here again! Close to the West Entrance of Glacier National Park, and amenities. The house is beautiful and the kitchen was very well equippped with cookware. The house had everything we needed, and the owners are great people. To make the experience even greater, I would recommend changing out the double bed for a queen, and getting new pillows. All else was perfect.

Great Location and Beautiful Scenery

  • 4 of 5

This was a lovely property centrally located for our time visiting Glacier National Park. The home is close to the West Park entrance and accommodated four adults comfortably. The porch is lovely and it's quite peaceful watching rafters float by from the porch/deck. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need to prepare meals. The owners have left plenty of brochures for the area as well. There is plenty of space in the home. However, they desperately need to replace one mattress as it is super soft and sags quite a bit in the middle. And, most of the pillows are flat and could be replaced as well. There isn't enough comfortable seating in the family room area and we had to sit on hard dining room chairs (with no cushions) to enjoy the views outside as it rained several days of our visit. Those are minor things that can be addressed/corrected and they shouldn't deter you from staying at this home. The owners made the process easy, the home was lovely and I would encourage you to visit.

As splendid as it looks

  • 5 of 5

The river is a constant calming presence, with swifts swirling and eagles soaring. The great room has a wall of windows on the river, trees, and sky. It is a good place to congregate. (I enjoyed the piano.) The kitchen is fully stocked with equipment and staples, so cooking is a joy. Though the house is on the river and feels very private, it is just a few blocks to shops and a short drive to the Park. We enjoyed having Sophie around. We recommend it highly.

Perfect home and location for a family getaway.

  • 5 of 5

We had a delightful stay in your lovely home. It was perfect for us and my parents. We especially enjoyed the mornings with our coffee and tea, watching the sky lighten. The fall colors were outstanding! We saw two eagles fly by the windows. One was a mature bald and the other was an immature bald or a golden eagle. We saw deer across the river one morning. My father, who is 88, really enjoyed the gas fireplace in the living room. The kitchen was very nice to work in. The beds were quite comfortable. We hope to come back to Montana for our meetings next fall and hope to stay in your home again

Great Place to stay near Glacier NP

  • 5 of 5

Very nicely situated place for our vacation. There were 5 of us and this location served us well. Rustic, with modern conveniences. We picked an area in the Park each day, and explored as much as we could. Good shopping nearby, and great ice cream a couple blocks away. The view could not be beat, and we witnessed bald eagles getting fish from the river.

Great home base for Glacier NP

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five, including our 3 adult daughters, convened here for a week of hiking, kayaking and relaxing at magnificent Glacier NP. The White's house was perfect. The riverfront setting is peaceful and pretty, and the cabin is very convenient to the West Glacier park entrance as well as groceries etc. The bedrooms and baths were all very nice with new fixtures and high quality linens. The kitchen is large and well equipped for cooking. We enjoyed a couple of dinners on the deck watching the river flow by. It was also great to have a washer and dryer to handle our dusty sweaty hiking clothes! Sophia, the caretaker, was able to get us a reservation on short notice at the historic, and delicious, Belton Chalet restaurant. We highly recommend the White's cabin!
