My Get away

My stay was very comfortable and for a resort with many people and things to do it was still very private. This was an excellent deal for all the amenities.

First time at LaCosta the condo is walking distance to the all the resort amenities and has parking with it. Beds are good I would stay again

Great Stay at a Great Location

My family just stayed at this property located at the Omni La Costa in Carlsbad Ca. It was a great stay. The owner John was very helpful and friendly. The place was spacious and centrally located to everything we needed. The grounds at the Omni La Costa are second to none. Would definitely come back!

The perfect option for our family!

Both the property and the host were perfect for our needs. We were visiting for my mother’s celebration of life and my anxiety was high. The condo was beautiful, with a phenomenal location. The owner John was so very helpful and pleasant to speak to. Staying here made a very stressful and sad moment in my life easier, and happier. Thank you so much for creating an experience that allowed me to feel joy and reflect without the normal stress of traveling! We will definitely be back!

Family getaway

We had a wonderful stay here. I brought my grandson who loved the water play areas, pool, and slides. He wasn't tall enough for the bigger slides but was happy to repeat the smaller one. The resort is beautiful and has great walkability and friendly staff. The condo layout was comfortable. I wasn't prepared for the older oven /stovetop but we figured it out. We went for a relaxing and fun weekend and this property accomplished that goal.

Good location, needs a little maintenance

Resort amenities are nice. We visited the pool and hot tub which were easy to get to. Location is good for conferences and plenty of space for us 2. Owner supplied towels and shampoo/conditioner/soap which is appreciated! Main issue is that the appliances that are advertised need to be updated/fixed. Both toilets have to have their handles held down to flush, the shower blasts the water at a high velocity, same with the bathroom sink, and the A/C turns on but just hums, doesn’t work.

Resort Amenities NOT included

The Condo was lovely. It met all our needs for a month long stay. Parking and laundry facilities were easily accessible and the location next to the tennis courts was a plus for us. A lovely supermarket was an easy five minutes walk from the condo. However,contrary to the owners listing, condo guests do not have access to any resort amenities such as the fitness center. This was very disappointing.

Glad you found the Condo lovely! Amenities are included through an arrangement with a friend that works at the resort. Unfortunately, our connection at the resort was unavailable due to a family emergency. Upon returning they were able to assist with arrangements for the amenities. You have failed to mention we made other arrangements for you at a superior health club less than a 1/4 mile away.

Perfect Getaway in Carlsbad!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful vacation condo! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with how clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully appointed the property was. The condo is located within a resort, so we had full access to amazing amenities, all just a short walk away. The interior of the condo is spacious, but cozy, and has a comfortable living area, and beautiful outdoor patio we enjoyed during the mornings and sunsets. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we woke up each morning feeling refreshed and ready for the day. The location is fantastic! Just a few minutes from the beach, shopping, and dining. It’s the perfect spot for exploring Carlsbad and the surrounding areas. Our host was very communicative and provided us with all the information we needed for a seamless stay. They also gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and activities during our stay and before our arrival which made planning our trip easy. We couldn’t have asked for a better vacation experience. Whether you’re here for relaxation or adventure, this place has it all. Highly recommend and would definitely return!

Cozy and clean

Arriving and parking was easy. The unit was clean, cozy and comfortable and quiet. This was a family trip so I went to the local fish market and made fresh fish and shrimp for our New Years Eve dinner. Everything in the kitchen worked with plenty of dishware for us to use. Bed were comfy and bathrooms were clean with a shower that has incredible water pressure! We enjoyed the orange and lemon trees out front of the property. We used the pool nearest to the slides it was the warmest. Not many people were around due to covid so felt like we had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed the beach and a dolphin tour that is just a short drive away. John called me and made sure everything was going well I thought that was nice. I absolutely recommend this place.

The good, the bad, the not so pretty!!

John was excellent to work with but the property had some issues. The light in the front bathroom only worked occasionally. It would take several tries to get it to come on. The drop down door to the bar was broke. The security lock on the door quit working. The caulking in the bathroom was horrible. I don’t know if it was covered in mold or mildew. I realize it’s a humid environment but I feel like the property upkeep was not up to par for the cost of the stay. We were unable to get the tv to work. Again, John was great to work with but we wouldn’t stay in the property again.i do have pictures to back up the complaints.

Problems 1.number one the door lock had the code and after two time use in the afternoon of check in it wasn’t working anymore for the rest of stay!!! it was three of us me and my husband and my son with one key and each of us had to come in we should stay in the back door for half an hour Because the door wasn’t working and it was just one key!!!!!! 🔑 2. Problem number two , the refrigerator wasn’t working at all I called manager and begging him To come fix it he came and instead of solving the problem he is start to make fun of us in a rude way !!! He said that you’re so spoiled So what that the refrigerator is not working people in your Ukraine Don’t have food there on the war people from Ukraine They live bad !!!!l His behavior was really bad and he was really super rude instead of fixing the problem he start make fun of us and he just left without saying anything I keep texting him and he just refused to even call me back or respond to any texts I’ve attached all the texts that I sent to him!!! If he’s comparing Here to Ukraine why he is doing business in the US and why he’s charging in dollar ! He should go back to business in Ukraine without the refrigerator in this heat with the kid with me I’m making money of the Ukraine not the dollar!!! 3. he suggested us that if the refrigerator is not working you go to Home Depot and he says there is a Home Depot near here I can go buy a refrigerator or a cooler and he just left and never respond anymore as I attach in the email that it’s a welcome read that it says there is a ice machine downstairs next to the elevator! Guess what there was no ice machine there and he lied! He didn’t just lied one time he says that ice machine just removed and he mentioned in the email that sent to the tenant but when we walked down there was a lady living on that building and she said the ice machine is been removed three years ago!!! He just said he can walk to building in this heat and get your ice from another building it’s not his problems! 4. There was no AC and air conditioning inside one of the things I didn’t mention there’s a AC that the AC is not working I can sue you for that that’s the biggest huge problem we couldn’t sleep one hour the whole time if they did not even one hour each night! 5. My kids got sick because they had the sushi and the milk that was rotten because the refrigerator is not working who is responsible for that verbo?or the owner ?or the manager? 6. Each place used you stay

Great Deal for Omni La Costa

The apartment is spacious and well located next to the tennis courts. The complex has its own pool and jacuzzi separate from the resort. We used both.

July 2021 Stay

The resort is. beautifully maintained. We did read the reviews prior to our stay so we were mostly prepared to what we experienced. However there were several issues that need to be commented on. 1. The toilet in the half bath would run causing us to keep all the doors closed. 2. The ice machines on both the first and second floor were not functioning. We had to purchase ice from the nearest store. which was inconvenient. 3. There. was mold around the kitchen sink faucet. 4. The caulking around the shower doors was in poor condition. 5. There were no facial wash clothes only towels. The condo overall needs to be updated especially for the daily price quoted.

With any of our guests we are always happy and eager to support your stay as best as possible meaning if our guests ever need extra amenities such as ice, fresh towels, or even some extra TP... we are just a phone call away! Our cleaning crew does an excellent job cleaning in between the stays of our guests so wish you had contacted us during your stay if there was an issue in the kitchen so that we could have made your stay much more comfortable. Omni La Costa is amazing but this property needs updating

No one had cleaned under the furniture in an age. The plumbing was failing. The bed was comfortable. The door lock needed maintenance. The porch wicker furniture was falling apart. Overall the place is comfortable.

Our cleaning team does an excellent job of cleaning the unit thoroughly between our guests however we understand how some dust buildup can accumulate underneath the furniture if we have longer gaps of time between our guests arrivals. We are unsure of what you are referring to regarding the door lock and apologize if it caused you any trouble during your stay. We were not made aware that you were having issues with the door lock and would have loved to support you further with that issue. Some great new about the patio furniture - we have since replaced the singular wicker table that was on the patio for our guests to enjoy! The owner sale the location at the resort but the property is in the shape as a 1970 years old apart

Bad experience globally with VRBO, as we could expect the company to Check the level of the overall properties instead of just advertise for any owner of the planet. As an example, we didn’t have water from 8:00am to 5:00 pm as our arrival. Not mentioning the kitchen and the cabinet in pieces in the living etc........

Hello Anouchah - It is unfortunate your visit did not meet your expectations and that your overall experience using VRBO has been less that satisfactory. Just for reference, our unit is centrally located inside the gates of the La Costa Resort and Spa: 2005 Costa Del Mar, Carlsbad CA 92009. Our photos posted within the listing are up to date and give our visitors a transparent and exciting view of the unit before you arrive. The unit is uniquely decorated with items handpicked by the owners. Many of our guests love it and often compliment the charm and character! Unfortunately, there was an emergency water issue within the building that we had no control over for a few shorts hours during your arrival. We were fast to respond with communication and apologetic for the inconvenience while staying available for support as the property was dealing with water issues. We have many units throughout Southern California and are proactive with all maintenance to exceed the comfort and high expectations for each of our guests.

This unit has a view of the hillside, tennis courts & golf course, as opposed to the street. In addition, it is one of the most central and convenient buildings on the resort with full access to resort amenities!
