Beautiful out-of-the way location but still close to round-top. Really enjoyed the location, cabin was clean and well decorated, nice location, woke up and had a cup of coffee while watching deer outside. Excellent location.

Great location to shopping and country vibe!

Woke up to roosters and cows, then quick drive to all the shopping. Perfect location and Texas experience. Everything you need for the perfect Round Top stay.

Terrific spot! Beautiful and clean.

What a perfect place to stay while in Round Top. Darling little cabin, with a nice porch to sit on while you enjoy the wildflowers and their long horns. We had a little trouble with getting hot water in the shower, but the owner was helpful, and we eventually got luke warm water which was better. We would definitely stay again.

We truly enjoyed this property. The location is what made this place unique. Although 8 minutes away from the Main Street, downtown, the quietness of the area made our stay very relaxing. We love seeing the cows and sitting on the porch. The decor of the cabin was so nice with antique touches throughout the cabin. The property pictures are nice on the VRBO listings but it is actually better in person. I would recommend having an iron and ironing board tho. At any rate, we would love to come back and bring my sister and her son and rent the bigger cabin. Thank You for making our stay enjoyable.

WONDERFUL!!!

We had a great “girls weekend” trip! Shopping in Warrenton and Roundtop was so easy! The property is located just 4 miles from the action and it’s down the most beautiful country road! Sat on the huge porch and watched the longhorns graze in the backyard;) watched a chick flick and drank wine by the firepit:) the owners had made some homemade sausage balls for breakfast! Yum! And when we needed extra blankets they promptly got them to us! We definitely will be staying again! We had the best time! Thank you Richard and Dawn!!

Dawn & Richard spend their time between Houston and Round Top. We purchased this property as a get away from busy city life and work. We fell in love with the area and spend as much time as possible here in Round Top. We love raising Longhorns and look forward to the arrival of new calves every year. Our first cabin, Molly was very old house that was brought in from the Heights in Houston. It was in very poor condition but we love a challenge and decided to bring it back to life. We then took on our second cabin and decided to name it after our Black Lab, Max. Our third and last cabin, Zoe is a vintage 5th wheel Airstream that once belonged to Jim Goode from Houston. We choose to name the property Black Dog Cabins after our two black rescued dogs and since we have adopted a third dog name Oscar. He is a chocolate lab that you might see riding in the side by side or taking a swim in the pond.

Quiet country location perfect for getting away and relaxing in peaceful setting. Only 3.5 miles to fine dining, shopping and numerous wineries. There is so much to do if you get restless but you probably won't want to leave the property!
