Stunning Log Cabin with amazing views at Apple Canyon Lake, Perfect Location

Welcome to our cabin we call “Irish Hollow”. One of the oldest and original cabins at the lake. This cabin was hand built by a father and son in the earliest days of Apple Canyon Lake. This log cabin is as authentic as it gets. Immediately feel relaxed as you pamper yourself in luxury. The main floor master is absolutely amazing. The main floor bath has a jacuzzi tub, heated floors, and a wonderful shower.

This cabin literally feels like it was plucked from Ireland's countryside and placed so gently where it rests. We hope you enjoy our cabin with your family and friends as much as we do.

We absolutely love that we are located close to everything. You are just a couple blocks from the sports complex, pool, marina, cove restaurant, golf course, club house, and hiking path. Further away, the waterfall is a pretty sight to see and a great back drop for pictures. Across from the dam and waterfall is Harold Batham nature trail, walking only. Great place for a family walk. Please view framed map for beach and other attractions.

Nice front deck for visiting with friends and family. Sit around the campfire at night, located in the back yard. Extra spacious lot next door for playing games. Trail close to property for walking/hiking. You will have access to lake amenities, pool and beach, with tags provided. Lower level has sleeper sofa and T.V.

We try to supply some firewood for our guests as a perk, but it is not guaranteed. T.V. is dish network. Internet is Fiber-link (250 Mbps), usually very good, but in the rolling hills of Apple River Canyon, at times it is not, so make appropriate plans if this is a must.

The charming town of Galena only 15 miles away. Small towns in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin within a 20 minute drive. Wisconsin is only 10 miles to the north.

Apple Canyon State Park, 10 miles away. Very nice scenic views. Multiple hiking paths. Worth your visit if you like the outdoors.

Don't feel like cooking every meal. One of our favorites, Old School Saloon, Scales Mound IL, 6 miles away. Excellent pizza and sandwiches. They have a 4.8 star rating for a reason. Need delivery, Thriving Thistle Market in Apple River delivers. Their sandwiches are excellent. Pizza is good. You can dine in as well.

Wonderful little town of Shullsburg, Wisconsin. (established in 1827, one of the oldest in Wisconsin) only 13 miles to the north. The restaurants in this small town are second to none. You won't be disappointed. We love visiting this small town.

We have other hidden gems that we recommend and share with our guests upon check in, including "Gravity Hill", 12 miles to the north in Wisconsin, you will be laughing as you roll backwards, up hill???

No Smoking, No parties, no bachelor or bachelorette parties. Sorry, no pets. Maximum guests 6. Minimum age of primary renter is 25.

We cannot lock in dates until deposit is received. Same date requests will be given to the first person securing it with a deposit. Three night stays are required during holiday weekends.

Check in is 4:00 p.m.. Check out is 11:00 a.m.
