This was our second stay at this property. We absolutely love this location with the beautiful view of Tuscany and the amazing sunsets. The owners are wonderful, caring and kind. We felt at home and miss this beautiful place.

This is the most special place I’ve ever been. It’s breathtakingly beautiful. The house itself it’s stunning but the outside terrace and pool area is a dream. I will absolutely come back here again if I get the chance. The host was very helpful, communicative and kind.

This was a beautiful property. I cannot wait to come back again. We came to Chianti in October so the fall weather was perfect. The property was clean, and had everything we needed. The bed was so comfortable, perfect water pressure and hot water. We rented a car to get there. The drive from Florence to Chianti was incredible. Very scenic, gps took us exactly where we needed to go. There were so many wineries to choose from. But our host was amazing. I’m already thinking about our next visit and bringing our family since there are multiple vrbos on property.

This was a totally lovely apartment. The private terrace has an incredible panoramic view of the greve in Chianti valley. It is only a few steps away from the apartment entrance. The bed was comfortable and kitchen well appointed. We would recommend this spot to any couple or single person looking to get away to call and quiet for a while under the Tuscan sun! If you get carsick, the gravel road up to the home is pretty intense. My only tip is to be sure to pack your own body wash and shower supplies!

Great location in the heart Chianti. The host was very welcoming and the apartment was perfect. very comfortable bed and very quiet location. Nice terrace and pool but unfortunately the weather wasnt warm enough for us to enjoy the pool. There is a dirt road to get to the apartment but very easy to navigate so dont be worried about it. Thank you Babette, we hope to have the pleasure of going back sometime.

Wonderful authentic Tuscan experience

Our stay at this property was wonderful. The property is clean, filled with everything you need, beautifully furnished, and truly a fantastic house. The host is helpful and responds quickly to any issues. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Little slice of heaven!

This little slice of heaven was just perfect! It was very spacious and the kitchen had everything needed to cook a meal…and lots of fun dishes to serve it in! The location is very remote….you do have to drive up a very steep dirt road. We enjoyed the day in Greve and also drove to San Gimignano, which was about an hour away.

A hidden gem

Wow! What an amazing place. Every bit as much as we needed. Quaint, clean, out of the way. It is in a very small village away from Greve. Babette was a wonderful host and made us a wine tasting reservation. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. We cooked almost ever night I highly recommend this property, but know that it is in a remote area few minutes away from town Thank you Babette

Charm Galore

We had a wonderful time while staying in Greve. The accommodations were a perfect combination of old world charm meets modern conveniences. Babette was a friendly and knowledgeable host. She even left us some fresh produce from her garden, which we turned into in a nice pasta sauce and ratatouille. The location was centrally located and only a short drive to Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, and even Lucca and Pisa. We used Greve as our launch pad for day trips. It was nice to unpack once and still visit all the highlights of Tuscany. Greve is the "gateway to Chianti." It and the surrounding small towns (Panzano, Montefioralle, etc) are wonderful places to explore and visit while you're there. Being in Chianti country, you cannot go wrong with the wine. There are numerous wineries in the area, and most, if not all, have tasting rooms. There is even a winery right next door...seriously right next door! The wine and the wine makers are wonderfully charming. Recommend!

Retreat in Greve in Chianti

We rented this condo the first two weeks of May 2019. The location was not an easy drive to reach but the view was worth it and it was so quiet. The condo was just as portrayed in photos and had all of the necessities for a comfortable stay. It was a bit dark inside but it is an old renovated stone farm building. The hosts live right next door and were very friendly and helpful. An added bonus was a winery just a 5 minute walk from condo and offered a great wine tasting experience. Greve is a quaint Tuscany town with lots of amenities and good parking for wandering around town. We did our grocery shopping at the Coop and the town piazza. We were also in a good location for venturing out into the surrounding area. Florence is less than an hour away and is accessible via bus system. If you prefer to be away from the traffic and hustle and bustle of town, this is the perfect retreat. We highly recommend it.

The view is stunning and a perfect location to use as home base to explore wineries in this part of Tuscany. FYI You need to book appointment for wine tasting . WE. Found this out the hard way Its a little piece of paradise. It was not easy to find so make sure you arrive during day light hours .Its about 2.5 KM up a dirt road with no address. The key was not where we were told it would be so that caused us a little stress after a long day of travel. There is a coop store for groceries in town but beware they are closed on Sunday and there is no other place in Greve to get groceries. If you arrive late on a Sunday just come prepared. Thank goodness the owner of the restaurant LaCantina took very good care of us. He send us to the villa with food and wine This restaurant is a must when visiting this area. Staff and owner are amazing the food is so good. The bathroom does have a nasty sewer smell.I did mention this to the owner and she told us how to fix it. It never really did go away but was not as strong. The place was very clean. The bed was very comfortable but no top sheet. You are pretty much on you own when staying at this location. The owner does live in the complex but was a way during our stay. Her son was helpful in locating the key after calling the owner. Bring bug spray if you plan to use the beautiful terrace with a breathtaking view that comes with this unit. The open air windows have no screens so bugs can be a bit of a problem.

The property looked exactly as shown in the photos—very cute and cozy, with beautiful views from its hilltop location. It is remote and quiet, which was peaceful, though isolated, 3K up a narrow gravel road. We appreciated the welcome bottle of wine, and the wine tasting with neighbor Raffaella was a highlight of our stay.Unfortunately, several aspects detracted from our experience. The kitchen cookware was in poor condition—pans were greasy and not properly cleaned, making us wonder about thoroughness. Noise was also an issue; we could hear sounds from the upstairs unit, including flushing toilets, voices, and a young child rolling something around the floor every morning. There was ongoing construction in the parking area that made parking difficult and created significant noise, including jackhammering right outside the bathroom.Wi-Fi was unreliable, with multiple unresolved connection issues. Communication with the host was unpleasant; we received reminders twice to turn off the terrace light, which felt intrusive. On checkout morning, host was waiting outside our door at 9:15, making us uncomfortable and rushed.Adding to our disappointment was an unexpected 65 charge for heating that was NOT in the listing. After discussing it, the host agreed to 50, but this should have been disclosed beforehand.While the location and wine tasting were wonderful, the combination of cleanliness issues, unexpected fees, and intrusive communication made our stay far less enjoyable.

The property was amazing! Babette was prompt on responding to my messages. She even did a load of laundry for us, as the laundry is not inside the house. The view from the shared terrace was amazing! It is a good drive up a dirt road but we did not mind it at all! Would definitely stay again!

Es war fantastisch! Die Kommunikation und Organisation war super und problemlos, die Ferienwohnung geschmackvoll typisch-toskanisch und das Gelände wirklich toll. Der Ausblick ist absolut Postkartenreif.Greve selbst ist schnell erreicht und ein netter Ort, mit schönem Markplatz, Restaurants, Shops, etc.Die Lage der Wohnung ist super um diverse Tagesausflüge in verschiedene tolle Städte wie Siena, Florenz, innerhalb von 1-1,5h zu unternehmen.Wir sind total zufrieden und können einen Aufenthalt bei Babette wärmstens empfehlen!

Die scuderia Ist ein integraler Bestandteil eines wunderschönen Häuserensembles oberhalb von Greve in Chianti. Die Anfahrt über eine in weiten Teilen Schotterstrasse ist staubig. Die Lage am Zielort entschädigt dafür umso mehr. Die Ferienwohnung ist wunderschön eingerichtet und herrlich kühl. Die Gastgeberin Babette und auch ihr Mann sind warmherzige Menschen, die uns in unserer Aufenthaltswoche herzlich begegnet sind. Die Krönung war die Erlaubnis, den Pool nutzen zu dürfen. Danke für die schöne Zeit!

Sehr schönes Anwesen mit überwältigendem Weitblick

Wir haben die Gegend erkundet, waren wandern und Vino/Olio probiert. Von der Terrasse blickt man weit über das Chianti.Die Anfahrt ist abenteuerlich, zwar nur 2,2 km lang, aber teilweise unbefestigt und steil.

Toscane merveilleuse

C'etait au mois d'avril avec une meteo mediocre... peu après le débordement de l'Arno.La position entre Florence et Sienne permet de visiter toute la région.Appartement très bien decoré mais le soleil était parti en vacances ailleurs: cela n'a pas empéché un séjour très agréable avec un très bon accueil.

Toskana Urlaub

Nach einer abenteuerlichen Anreise, auf die man aber vorbereitet wird, sind wir in einer wunderschönen Ferienwohnung, wo jedes Detail liebevoll eingerichtet ist angekommen. Wir sind von sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Vermietern, die uns sehr geholfen haben, empfangen worden. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und werden bestimmt wieder kommen.

Beautiful setting

Scuderia was a very pleasant spacious apartment. The view from terrace patio was spectacular overlooking the Chianti hills from a high vantage point. The only thing we did not like was the 2 km rough dirt road that climbs to Ruffoli.

Beautiful and spacious

This apartment we wanted quietness and views. The apartment delivered with views of the rolling hills and panoramic terrace to have coffee to enjoy it. This apartment was hug for just the 2 of us and the location a bit remote- just remember to get food/supplies before you go. But, it is as we wanted with being in the country. We only booked for 2 nights and next time would do longer. Very clean and all supplies needed were available from towels to wi-fi to kitchen supplies. We would recommend this to everyone!
