Keep it simple and live like a local at this peaceful and centrally-located Surf inspired cottage. Just 15 minutes the the world famous north shore and 25 minutes to downtown Honolulu, this central locale is perfect for those that want to explore the island. Located in a quite neighborhood, come unwind and get on Hawaiian time.


As of July 31st 2019 all short term rentals on Oahu that are outside of resort zones are only allowed one reservation per every 30 days, until the city & county completes their registration application process. We strive to comply with these new regulations, so please contact the local host directly for more information on how to make your reservation for this property.

Perfect location and cozy stay!

This location was absolutely perfect to get to any part of the island as it is centrally located. We loved the homey feel to it. The beds are incredible to sleep on. Communication was clear and always quick. We highly recommend this stay to anyone looking at it!

Great stay for North Shore Activities

This place is in a residential area, so you get a good view of life in Hawaii as a resident. Many of our plans were on North Shore, which was a 20 minute drive away. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions. A great location for hitting the north shore!

Spring Visit at the Surf Shack

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit to Oahu and stay at the Surf Shack. We explored the North Shore, Pearl Harbor, Waikiki Beach Laie, and Kane'ohe Bay areas of the island with a fairly easy drive from this central location. The home has comfortable beds, a great shower and a good kitchen to prepare meals (visit the Costco in nearby Mililani for groceries - they have some great meal options and reasonable pricing). Would definitely stay again! It was wonderful to come back to a quiet place after a busy day of adventure.

Simple, small house with all the necessities

Stayed for about a week in the cute little house. Nice kitchen and bathroom, covered garage, washer and dryer in the covered garage. We didn't use the outside furniture as it was wet (as expected since it was outside)and the the gazebo cover was pretty ripped up so we would have gotten wet too. Overall lovely and very convenient location to anywhere on the island

Great central location

Great remodel job. Perfect for 2 couples and some kids. The flora and fauna are awesome to wake up to. The host was non-intrusive and a pleasure to deal with. Neighbors were very nice. Good location to go to the north shore or to Waikiki/Honolulu in short time. Just be careful of rush hour. I highly recommend. We will stay again in the future. I would also recommend the Cantina in the Foodland parking lot. Very cool people and a nice spot for drink or two. Wahiawa is great!

Surf shack

This place was perfect for our stay. We are familiar with the area and it’s a central location for everything. Any mishaps were quickly alleviated and the communication with the owners was fantastic! Would recommended and stay again!

Easy Island living

Host is there for you and is willing help in any way at any time...very inviting! Clean, lovely updated., relaxing spot and both felt at home from start to finish . Location is Hawaiian town experience with food, pharmacy minutes away. Really easy to explore Hawaii West, North Shore from location. Kailua on the East definitely worth a little longer ride. About 30-40minutes to Airport/Honolulu, depending on route taken. Would stay again and recommend to those looking to be out of the city hustle....

Hidden gem for a true island experience

Beautifully located in Wahiawa away from all the touristy bustle, this cozy shack is clean, breezy and a true island home. 15-30 minutes away from most of the highlights of Oahu this home is conveniently close enough to and far away from the busyness. Everything is well taken care of and pictures of property are accurate. We throughly enjoyed our stay.

Definitely Will Stay Again

Aloha, My wife and I just loved this place it will definitely be our go to place on our next visits. House had everything we needed. We did not cook but stove and utensils are available if needed. Everything felt comfortable. Bed was nice and comfortable. Everything was clean and ready upon arrival. Owner was in constant contact to accommodate our needs. Thank you so much, until next time Mahalo!
