About this property

Peaceful, fully renovated home that is solar powered!

Cute beach inspired, spacious 3br home has been fully renovated! Surrounded by the lush forest, this property is located in a quiet, friendly neighborhood, just up from a waterfall and has multiple fruit trees on the property. We are just a few minutes from the beach, but with the peaceful, remote atmosphere found in the mountains and a waterfall just down the street! Fall asleep listening to the coqui, and be awakened by the roosters. This is a great place to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature!

The house has been converted to solar, so storms or the frequent rolling blackouts from Luma will not be a problem! Spacious rooms with air conditioning, comfortable memory foam mattresses, quality bedding, and towels, provided. Crib also provided for those guests who need one.

Well stocked kitchen has everything you need to cook your own gourmet meals if you choose to, but most guests choose to enjoy experiencing wonderful cuisine the wide variety of restaurants Rincon has to offer! Happy to help you with any recommendations if you need some!
The neighbors are wonderful people who are locals. We all value the peace and quiet in the neighborhood. Most of the neighbors are up early for work most days, so please respect their need for sleep at nights and be responsible. If you are looking to host parties etc, this is not the right place to book, and we kindly ask that you find a more suitable listing.

Laundry room is located in the outbuilding. There is driveway parking for up to 3 vehicles (however during mango season I would not park a vehicle under the mango tree, so I recommend only using 2 spaces).

We’ve also stocked the house with games, puzzles, movies, and a Wii that you are welcome to use to enjoy your family time together. There is a wheeled cooler that you are welcome to take with you to the beach or any other adventures. Please return it nice and clean though!

A couple of important things to note about the property:
The driveway is steep, so oversized SUVs or trucks sometimes need to have 4 wheel drive in order to make it up the driveway (smaller cars and SUVs don’t seem to have a problem, but if it is wet it can be slippery and can be a little more challenging). Street parking is also available across the street in front of the vacant house if you don't want to pull up the driveway.

Also, as is the case with many properties on the island, we have a sensitive septic system. No feminine products or toilet paper down the toilet please!!!! It will create problems! We provide plenty of trash bags for the can in the bathroom for all paper items.

We run a water sports company based in Rincon so we do everything from surf lessons, bioluminescent bay tours, fishing, diving, and snorkeling charters, waterskiing, sunset cruises, whale watching, waterfall tours, jet ski, kayak, and paddle board rentals, sailing lessons and more!

Fun drive into the hills

A great way to find out that the Rincon area is not just beaches. Not super easy to find but the property owner guided my into a safe landing with WhatsApp!!! And so grateful to find a rental which allows pets! 💕

Quite/Safe Area

It was a nice and quite area to stay in. House was shaded well so it never got too hot, and there was always a nice breeze to sit on the front porch and have coffee every morning. Driveway is a bit tricky to get into, but she says that in the description, but other than that its a nice place. Also there are tons of restaurants within 10 minutes of driving from the house and even a grocery store.

Already miss this quiet house in the mountains! We are from PR so the narrow dark roads were not an issue, the host was great to guide us to house in the early hours of the morn! Fully equipped house with solar panels made power outage a nonissue for us! Driveway was treacherous and surprised to have to buy our own supplies like soap & bathroom tissue for a 2 week stay but besides that amazing stay and will definitely return!

The home was exactly what we were expecting and needed. Very calm, and peaceful neighborhood. Dawn was an excellent host, with great communication. We wish we would've heeded the warnings about how steep the driveway is, but no problems as we had a Jeep. Overall, a great experience!

Country setting near everything

This house was clean, the hostess was awesome and available every time we needed to communicate. Three separate bedrooms were ideal, we each had our own rooms, however, there was room for plenty more as the beds were large in two and the third had double bunks. This is not a negative but, the roosters start in the wee hours, so if you sleep light, bring ear muffs! the flors and decor were as pictured. We were minutes away from Anasco and a short 5 minute drive to Rincon town center. Thank you Dawn for allowing us to stay in your home.

Home away from home

If you love the country side (which we do) you would love this house. It was spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. Communication with Dawn (owner) was great. She was super helpful and kind. She allowed us to check in earlier. The house is close to many restaurants, supermarket, beach, and Rincon plaza. The house is up in the mountains, the driveway is a little difficult to go up. You definitely need a 4 x 4 to get up the driveway. Other than that we would recommend the home and would stay again in the future.

The inside of the home, furniture needs a major update. No area to sit outside. The outside furniture was covered with dirt. The yard unable to use at all, it was overtaken by chickens and over growth. All in all, the only good thing about this place was the comfortable beds and the communication with owner.

You can't be more Local than this!

If you are the type that enjoys being away from the touristy parts and want to wake up steeped in the locality of the island in pleasantly 2nd world surroundings this is the spot. You'll be greeted by the pups next door, you'll hear the clucking of chickens ,you can eat the mangoes littering the front yard, people drive like human beings etc The host was excellent and prompt with communicattion with a wealth of knowledge of activities and directions. The drive up to the house is one of the most scenic you'll see ,but make sure and have the host Facetime you in or you probably won't find it the first time. The house is appointed with everything you need and even some digital diversions if you bring young ones. Don't be put off by the 2nd world comment as I mean an Italian village in Turin type of 2nd world......zero stress surroundings. If you are a sensitive sleeper ,you might bring some type of noise reduction device as there are roosters in the a.m.

Very Comfortable!

The house was very nicely decorated and very comfortable for our needs. Close to the beaches and downtown. The kitchen was very well equipped and the living room was comfortable for an evening of movies. Dog friendly and the roosters were a source of entertainment for our 13 yr old lab to watch! We will be back

A peaceful, fun and rejuvinating experience

This lovely well appointed cottage exceeded our expectations. Decorated in a beach environment, the love of this home was clearly evident. It was well stocked with every kitchen cooking items and serving pieces. The appliances were brand new and since we purchased many of our meals the kitchen and sitting areas were open and flowing. We never felt scutched. A combination of fresh air and airconditioning made for soothing restful sleep. The beds were as beautiful as the rest of the house. Dawn was more than accommodating with a cheerful and fun demeanor . Her business of water sports made those experiences really unusual. I would whole heartedly recommend this beautiful VRBO and will return to it again when we return to Puerto Rico

One night at Casa Amanecer

Finding this location was a spur of the moment. We lucked out. It is key you follow the directions especially if you are not used to driving the winding narrow roads of the hills of Puerto Rico. Thankfully Dawn was a phone call away to guide us. The driveway is tricky BUT again follow the directions. We fell in love as soon as we walked in. It reminded us of our abuela's casa. The rooms were clean. Super comfortable beds and the rooms were cool, no need for the air condition. The kitchen was clean and stocked with all the possible utensils needed. We had a good night rest despite the roosters checking in every now and then. The beaches and the town are not far. We will be back next year and for a little longer.
