We are located half way between ocean and lake. Lots of activity on the river in the spring, summer and Fall months. Watch kayaks, motorboats, paddle boarders, fishing boats and wild life right from the front yard. And yes...we have a small swimming area with access just steps away from this house!

Love to host quiet folks and families who enjoy nature and the abundant wildlife of this beautiful river! (geese, egret, herons, swans, osprey etc.) and who would appreciate the privacy and peacefulness of this awesome vacation cottage!

Sometimes, you have an idea of how a place might be given the pictures you look at or based on feedback you’ve read from various other persons. You try to imagine yourself there, imagine your family, and how the surrounding environment and landscape can contribute to escaping the routines of reality and being whisked away to something entirely different. Where you wake up and instantly, the tranquil view of the water sets the tone for the day. Or stepping outside on the deck when the fragrance of a sun kissed flower hits your senses. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but I’d argue that you’d need to be there personally to truly even begin to understand the pictures. That’s what our visit to this home was like. We have nothing but good things to say about our stay. Kathy was such a gracious host, going above and beyond during our stay. I truly hope that future circumstances allow for us to stay here again.

Peaceful Waterside Escape

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful waterside property in RI. The setting was serene and absolutely beautiful. Each morning we enjoyed our coffee while watching the sunrise and listening to the birds. It felt like something out of a dream. The calm water made it perfect for kayaking, and the kids had a blast catching crabs, clams, and mussels right from the shore. It was the kind of place that invites you to slow down and soak it all in. I wish I could wake up to that view every day.

Wonderful Mini Vacation

This home and host are WONDERFUL! The location is both quiet & safe, and the waterfront access to the river for kayaking and paddle boarding couldn't be beat! The host gave us great recommendations for local coffee shops, restaurants, and beaches which was truly appreciated. Best of all this home is dog friendly and our pup enjoyed her mini vacation as much as we did. We will definitely be back!

Friends together again

The description of the property is spot on. It was cozy, clean, comfortable, awesome view of the river, beautiful birds and passing boats and kayaker. It’s a great location. It was short drive to the Coastguard Restaurant in Narragansett for a delicious dinner. We spent our morning on the deck, in the sunshine, relaxing,enjoying the company and the beautiful surroundings. So thankful we found this place for are short reunion. We all wished we had more time to enjoy this wonderful property. Thank you to our host.

Great Vacation!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage. The cottage was neat and clean and so thoughtfully decorated. It was easy to relax and enjoy. We spent most days outside enjoying the amazing view of the salt marsh and it inhabitants. We also made great use of the paddle-boards going up and down the river sometimes several times a day. The boys enjoyed crabbing and fishing along the shoreline. Kathy was very responsive with any questions or needs that we had while we were there. Overall a great experience.

Beautiful getaway

Photos don’t do justice to this property. It was very cute and well maintained, situated right on the river with plenty of equipment to get in the water. The bathroom is a little tight, but there’s a lovely outdoor shower. Kathy was very responsive and very helpful with our questions throughout the stay - she even loaned us her grandkids’ life vest so our 2 yo can get in the water. Highly recommend!

Peaceful river gateway

The house lived up to its listing. There was lots to see and do (made full use of the kayaks) and enjoyed sitting in the yard watching the wildlife and boat traffic. The house was clean and comfortable, plenty of space for five adults and one dog. The hosts were very welcoming and provided lots of insight about local restaurants and events.

On the river

What a wonderful place to stay! This adorable cottage was right on the Narrow River. So nice to watch the river and the small boats drift by. The ceiling fans were so appreciated. Also, many windows to enjoy the view. Loved lounging on the deck. The owner, Kathy was very helpful

Wonderful property!

Wonderful property, in an absolutely beautiful neighborhood. Riverfront views were amazing, especially at sunrise. Very close and convenient to everything South County has to offer.

Perfect river side cottage

This is a cozy cottage with a lot of character and gorgeous views of river with beautiful large windows. We loved spending the mornings watching the birds and the evenings on the back deck watching the boats slowly motor by. The kayaks and paddleboards were great afternoon activities. Amazing location - very short drive to several beaches and delicious restaurants We highly recommend and will definitely be booking here again in the future. Thank you for sharing your cottage with our family!

Tranquility in the middle of everything

My husband and I and our three 20-ish kids all enjoyed the cottage and being right on the river. Kathy was a very attentive host, answering my several questions prior to arriving and making recommendations. It was relaxing and fun to watch the boats go up and down the river (its a low-wake zone, so its not noisy). We used the canoe a lot to check out the river, but not the kayaks or paddleboards. With the pleasant outdoor shower, sharing the single bathroom was more manageable than I'd thought. Plenty of yard space for games, the hammock under the shady maple was a lovely lounge spot, and we all learned how to crab, thanks to Kathy's guidance and the hand-crafted manual.The location was great as a central jumping off spot to area beaches, the ferry to Block Island, WaterFire and old school Italian dining in Providence, and area beaches - all of which we did. (Newport is handy also) If you are going to do a lot of cooking or baking, you may want to bring your own gear - it is only a cottage kitchen. We dined out at Matunuck Oyster Bar, where apparently everyone had to be on a Monday night - super busy. We had a more enjoyable dinner for five at the Coast Guard House - great food and service. A charming spot for sure! Thank you Kathy!!

Great Location and Great Host

The location of the cottage is awesome and Kathy was always on hand for anything we needed or advice on where to go. She was an excellent host. The use of the Kayaks was great and the family spent all week on the water. I would recommend for family's with active teenagers.

Peace and quiet!

1st: pics don't do it justice, much prettier roomier. 2nd: from beaches to groceries to pharmacies it's all a hop away. 3rd: host is very quick to respond and very helpful with ideas and suggestions. Our stay was very layed back, relaxing lots of eating and sleeping late(it's peacefully sounding). Mansions, beaches brewery were some of ventures.

I love to hear that folks feel at home in our cottage and enjoy their time on Narrow River. I have great advice on nearby areas, attractions and the best restaurants! We give folks total privacy but are nearby if ever needed for anything! We are new to this site but have well over 100 five star reviews on another popular hosting site!
