Property was as expected in a great area near Berkeley Bowl (for the best snacks and fruit…get the Nepalese dumplings). Easy Lyft to the ferry and mosswood park. Property was clean and well appointed except no paper towels, which isn’t a huge deal unless you’re clumsy and spill something. Great communication. Safe area. Would stay here again.

It’s a very well located property with plenty to walk to and easy to drive to the Berkeley campus. The host was accommodating and clear with all instructions. The home was very tidy with a sizable kitchen. It was a tad darker inside than I expected, but we weren’t around much during the day.

Fantastic property and great location

The place is great and very well set up for a large group. The location is very convenient right by Charley Young beach in the heart of Kihei. The host is very welcoming and communicates well.

A pleasant Stay

We really enjoyed our stay here, we brought our fur baby with us and having a backyard was a plus! Its nestled in a quiet cool neighborhood, easy parking on residential streets and quick access to a cute coffeeshop. The place was clean and homey and they even left us fresh flowers for us to enjoy. Great stay! Happy to recommend to others.

Location was perfect for us! The house is period with old wood floors and moldings etc but in good condition and you can experience a very well updated bathroom. The entire place was super clean and the kitchen well outfitted (wished we’d used it more!). The two bedrooms were well placed and quiet at night despite fronting a major auto thoroughfare. Only the living area was dim/dark due to lack of windows (a remodel to the front to make what is currently an unused retail space- I’d hazard same space also helps insulate against traffic sounds). Really felt lucky to get this rental for our 4 days in Berkeley since it’s close to our son’s apt building and conveniently walkable to Berkeley Bowl and various cafes and restaurants. We didn’t have a car rental so can’t comment on parking.

Comfortable escape

Communication with the host was excellent. We knew we were arriving after midnight, and after letting the host know they gave us reassurance that entry would be easy- and it was. It was a great place to unwind after spending time with family in Berkeley and SF. Easy to walk to some great breakfast spots. Would definitely stay here again.

A nice place that matched the listing details (except there is no on-property parking available), which was clean and comfortable. Great communication from the host regarding logistics around access due to a heavy storm the day before we arrived.

Clean and roomy. Easy flow through home. Quiet inside. Can close off bedrooms for quiet time if someone watching tv in family room. Solid location for driving access to Oakland/SF. The house itself was very comfortable and well kept. It was not clear in the listing it was on a Main Street and the outside around the door there was a lot of clutter. Tea maker was great. Would have loved a coffee maker.

Why they chose this property

I like Berkeley because of it's the home of the world-renowned University of California at Berkeley. There are swimming pools and gyms at the University that guests can use by buying day passes. Berkeley is famous for its food scene with many excellent restaurants., particularly Chez Panisse where California cuisine was born Berkeley also has a university-town atmosphere with many bookstores, coffee shops, and really smart students.

What makes this property unique

- Close to freeways that take you to Napa Valley for wine tasting or downtown San Francisco which can also be reached easily by public transportation (BART)
- Walkable to famous coffee shops and unique stores in Berkeley.
