|Minimum Stay||5 nights|
This Beautiful completely remodeled condo in Kihei Bay Vista complex is located across the street from the Humpback Whale Museum and historic Kulepolepo Beach. This beach is ideal for children as the water is generally calm. The Kihei Canoe Club also houses their outrigger canoes on this beach and often you can contact them to participate in some of their activities, not to mention that you can see some of the most AMAZING sunsets there as well! You can see and hear the ocean from our lanai, as well as see majestic Haleakala peeking over the rooftops...and you can see beautiful Kahalawai (West Maui Mountains from the bedroom window as well.
The pool/jacuzzi and BBQ area is located directly in front of our unit at the very bottom of the stairs. Kihei Bay Vista also offers free parking for quests, and a small putting green on the beautifully kept lawn. There are only 60 units in the complex; so it's peaceful and quiet...a perfect tropical retreat!!
We are also close to shopping and dining as Safeway, Outback, Roy's and Starbucks are located only 5 minutes away. The complex is also close to all the main thoroughfares on Maui. We are only 10-15 minutes away from the airport and the bus stop is right in front of the complex. Many of our favorite places are just minutes away!!
Ma'alea Harbor and the Aquarium are a 5 minute drive. Wailea and our fav beach, Makena (known by locals as Big Beach) is only 15 - 20 minutes away; as is Lahaina, Ka'anapali Beach and the Maui Swap meet (A MUST!!) Upcountry and the famed Ulupalakua Ranch is close at hand also. While there, you can also stop in at the winery and partake in tasting some fabulous Maui wine and enjoying the beautiful country there. Or how about a tour to visit Iao Valley and Na Wai Eha (the 4 waters) to soak up a bit of culture and learn about what makes Maui so special? All these places and attractions are close by.
I first visited Maui in 1996 and fell in love with the island. Since then, my wife and I have been visiting every year! It holds a special significance for us since my wife also has family and many friends on Maui. We are excited to share with you our little piece of paradise and have you discover why they say 'Maui no ka oi' (Maui is the best) for yourself.
Kenneth Vasseur purchased this condo in 2007
The minute we walked on to the property and then inside our condo, we knew that this was a place where our hearts could call home. The location, the beautiful grounds, the beach across the street were all just perfect for a relaxing retreat. Kihei is laid back and very 'local', yet has everything you need in close proximity.
Enjoyed staying at this Condo as a return renter.
We are a couple, in our 50's, and made this our home for one month.
We've stayed here previously, including in 2015, and have also stayed at two other condo's in the same complex.
We like that this condo has all the things we need: a comfortable king bed, enough kitchen cookware/gadgets, good tv/internet, and beach gear.
It's a good location to drive to any of the South Beaches (max 20 minutes to Big Beach, using highway).
West beach are a little longer drive, but still convenient. We went West a couple times, as well as to Paia & Road to Hana.
There's a near-by farmer market (just north), inexpensive to shop at Costco (food and gas), and access to reasonable priced Kihei restaurants (such as Fabiani's Italian, Sansei sushi, and Café O'Lei).

We have been to the area several times and this is the first staying at this location. They have everything that you could possible need during your trip. Easy access, good location, and onsite manager was very friendly and helpful. If you like to work out, Maui Gym 2 min away. We are planning to return next year. Thanks again!
Everything you could ever think you need was provided for you. Love it coming back as long as we can every year! Told all our friends about this beautiful condo! Just don't take my week.Lol
My wife & I enjoyed a month stay (Jan-Feb 2015) with this condo unit as our home-base.
The unit is nicely furnished and decorated. The kitchen had enough cookware/dishes for meals, including nice extras like a rice cooker.
The unit lanai faces south, for a nice N-S breeze between the windows and lanai. (Barely used the A/C.)
Location give easy access to far South beaches (using Piilani Hwy) in 15min, and West (Lahaina/Kaanapali) in 30min.
Lots of beach gear on the lanai, including sand toys & snorkel sets: mostly usable, although several of the boogie boards were cracked.
We used some things, and added a new set of Tommy Bahama chairs and umbrella when we left.
We've stayed several times in KBV (at two other units), so were familiar with the location and didn't need any help while there. While we didn't ever see an onsite manager in the condo office, Ken had provided contact numbers, if help was needed.
This was our first time in this unit, and it compared favorably with the others.
Bottom line, we enjoyed the place and would come back.
My boyfriend and I had a great stay in this condo. Being part of a privately owned condo complex, everyone was very quiet and respectful and it had a nice lived in community feel. The manager was always around tending to the grills or just checking up on things and he welcomed us newcomers instantly. The pool was not filled with sunbathing vacationers, the lawn was a nice spot to practice handstands, and the beach was just a hop, skip and jump away.
The condo came stocked with EVERYTHING you could possibly want (coolers, all kitchen stuff, towels, sheets, beach towels, even a junk drawer with everything you'd expect your junk drawer at home to have). Fans in every room and having windows and a sliding glass door on opposite ends of the condo allowed us to have a nice cross breeze and keep the A/C off, which I was VERY happy about. THe ammenities were also great (internet, TV, dishwasher, washer/dryer... etc).
The condo location was perfect for an adventurer. Quick access to main roads, private parking that was not viewable from the street, close to Safeway and other ammenities. We couldn't be happier. You were literally less than 100 m from a very empty beach with beautiful sunsets. The swimming wasn't the greatest, but the beach was perfect for walking and sun bathing.
Only complaint was the bed and severly old sheets. The bed needs to be replaced. It sagged in the middle, felt springy, and the sheets had lost any bit of elasticity they may have had back in the 90's. Pillows were equally horrid with yellow stains.
If this place had a new bed, I would stay there every time.
Beach Volleyball, Hula, Seasonal Whale watching, Drag, Motocross and Kart racing.
