In the heart of the Aude countryside, between the Canal du Midi and the hills, lies an authentic family home. In Mas-Saintes-Puelles, a small, peaceful town in the Aude department, the La Domergue vacation rental is a former family home that has been carefully maintained by the owner. Furnished with antique pieces, it offers a warm and authentic atmosphere, ideal for those who appreciate rustic charm and the welcoming simplicity of homes from days gone by. Just a stone’s throw from the Canal du Midi and the Naurouze weir—a watershed—the cottage is perfectly situated for exploring the region. Castelnaudary, the “capital of cassoulet,” is just a few minutes away, as are the hills and hiking trails. Bike rides or walks along the canal, visits to Toulouse or Carcassonne, farmers’ markets, exploring the locks, or even gourmet getaways… here, everything invites you to take your time. The cottage is fully air-conditioned and on one level once you’ve climbed the two small steps at the entrance. It features: _A dining room, _A fully equipped kitchen (gas stove, oven, microwave, traditional coffee maker, dishwasher, washing machine), _A living room with a TV, opening onto a veranda, A hallway leading to the bedrooms: _Two bedrooms, each with a 140-cm bed and storage, _A bedroom with two 90-cm beds and an antique crib, _A bathroom with a shower (one small shower is functional), _A separate toilet. Outside, behind the cottage, there is a garden with outdoor furniture, an electric griddle, and a small grill available for use. There is parking available for several vehicles in front of the cottage. Reversible heating/air conditioning (additional charge).
