Relaxing Private Country Escape with Hot Tub

Errit House is located on the Mayo - Roscommon Border. Local towns to the house are Ballyhaunis, Castlerea and Ballaghaderreen. All are within a 15 min drive of the house and have large supermarkets, pubs, takeaways and restaurants. Knock Airport is located 15 mins away. Westport is 1 hour, Carrick on Shannon is 45 mins, Galway is 1 hour 15 mins away. Sligo is 1 hour away. The house is an ideal base for touring the west of Ireland. Or a perfect place to just relax and enjoy the local area.
The space
Errit House is a relaxing and private country residence that can comfortably sleep 12 people and an ideal place for family gatherings and special occasions. The house sits on a 31 acre private family farm and is immersed in beautiful natural surroundings and wildlife with lots of local rivers and lakes nearby. The house is well equipped for large gatherings with lots of indoor & outdoor areas to enjoy. The property has lots of private parking and large gardens to the front and rear as well as over 31 acres of farm land.

* Kitchen / Dining Room

Our kitchen is fully equipped with all you will need to cook a fantastic meal for your group, with lots of room. We also have an Amazon Echo to help with cooking and setting timers etc, the dining table can cater for 8 people and 3 more on high stools at the kitchen Island. Should you need more seating let us know and we can help.

* Utility Room

Fully equipped utility room with washing machine, dryer and sink along with all cleaning tools such as hover and brushes along with safety equipment including fire extinguisher and fire blanket.

* Down Stairs Bedroom

Double room with En suite. This is the only ground floor bed room and is ideal for guests that do not want to climb stairs. All bed rooms are provided with towels, local hand made soap and Voya toiletries. All bed linen and towels are of great quality with a high thread count from the Foxford Woollen Mills in Co Mayo.

* Games Room

Our games room is a chill out area for both kids and adults alike. Enjoy games provided such as connect 4, jenga, jigsaws and many others; read a book or watch some Tv on the smart Tv which can be paired up with your own Netflix, Youtube, Disney etc.

* Sitting Room

Spacious sitting room for the whole family to gather and relax. This room has a large smart Tv and a solid fuel stove if your feeling chilly and would enjoy the look of a real fire. It is also the perfect room for you to read a book and relax. *** Fire wood and peat will be provided free of charge for the stove ****

* Up Stairs Double rooms x 2

Up stairs to the front of the house we have 2 large double rooms with bay windows that bring in great daylight and also offer fantastic views of the surrounding area . All bed rooms are provided with towels, local hand made soap and Voya toiletries. All bed linen and towels are of great quality with a high thread count from the Foxford Woollen Mills in Co Mayo.

* Kids room

This is a nice size room with a bunk bed which has a double bed on the bottom and a single bed on top, also this room has a bean bag for kids to relax.

* Family Room

This room is the largest bed room in the house and is fitted with a king size bed, a single bed and a travel cot. This room also has its own en suite making it ideal for a family group to have all they need in one room. All bed rooms are provided with towels, local hand made soap and Voya toiletries. All bed linen and towels are of great quality with a high thread count from the Foxford Woollen Mills in Co Mayo.

* Main Bathroom

The upstairs bath room is main bathroom for the house and is fitted with a bath and a power shower.


* Balcony Area

This a peaceful area located just off the up stairs hall and is a perfect place for a morning coffee, listening to the birds or a night cap before bed. This space is fitted with 2 out door seats and a small table.

* External Areas

The external areas of this house are fantastic for a large gathering. The side entrance has a spacious patio and table and chairs to enjoy a coffee or just relax and get the afternoon sun. The Patio to the rear of the house has a large table and chairs to sit 6 people along with a charcoal BBQ and a fire-pit. We will keep a stock of wood and some peat in the shed for guests to use free of charge for the fire pit and also for the stove inside.

* Hot Tub Area

This area is a great place to unwind and take in the county side views while enjoying the bubbles, The hot tub is state of the art design and is fully equipped with cleaning and sanitation features. The hot tub can hold 5 adults and has built in blue tooth speakers so you can listen to your favorite music from your phone while you relax. It also has a selection of LED lights that can change colour. This area is located in the garden just out the back of the house, we provide bath robes and slippers to all guests that would like to use the hot tub.

* EV Charging Point

We provide an EV charging point to any guests that have an electric car. There is no extra costs for using this charger.

* Garage

We have a newly build garage that is used to store fire wood / peat and the general maintenance tools required for the house. Please feel free to use this space if you need to store bikes, fishing rods etc.

* Garden Areas

The house has plenty of garden areas both at the back and front of the house.
