The Lucky Dog Ranch house sits on 2.5 acres and backs to the red rock cliffs of the San Juan National Forest. This 3600 sq ft, 4 bedroom 3 bath recently renovated mountain modern home is appointed with luxury linens, fine furnishings, a chefs kitchen with a Thermador gas range, large light and bright living spaces to enjoy the surrounding mountains.
The space
Newly renovated (inside and out) mountain modern ranch house. Light and bright with loads of windows to enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains. 4 comfy bedrooms with ample comfortable seating in living and family rooms for lounging and two large indoor areas to dine with family and friends.
Guest access
Minutes from dining, bars, shopping in downtown Durango. 30 minutes to skiing in Purgatory. Plenty of parking on property and driveway.
Other things to note
This is snow country and in the winter 4x4 with all terrain tires is strongly recommended. The long driveway can get icy. We advise parking at lower half of driveway and walking up in the winter if you don’t have a 4x4 vehicle with proper all terrain tires

The needs of our 9 Ladies for our reunion called for a big kitchen, lots of inside lounging areas, and outdoor lounging, plenty of bathroom space, comfy beds, cleanliness and a well stocked bar!The Lucky Dog Ranch checked ALL our boxes, AND, it is a beautiful space in our beautiful forest.

The pictures do not do this place justice! There are many living areas and fun space to spread out or be together. We had a group of 8 and found amble space to eat together, play board games, cook, and let the kids/teens have their own space. The house is fully stocked and provided convenience that we don't always find in a rental - extra toilet paper, extra trash bags, laundry detergent, outdoor balls, hats and sunscreen, etc. All of the beds were super comfy and the linens were very nice. I would highly recommend this property.

Lucky Dog Ranch headquarters for ski trip

Absolutely loved this house! Great arrangement for family ski vacation. Kitchen was perfect and had every utensil / cookware imaginable (we cooked all our gourmet meals)! Hot tube was icing on the cake! Great host! Highly recommend the “ranch”!

Great time. Not much in the way of family dining in town unless your looking for pizza and burgers. Weather was a little warm, but we all had a great time as a family

We had an amazing 3 night stay at the Lucky Dog Ranch. We were a party of 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 11, 10, 8, 7, and 5). The sleeping spaces were clean and comfortable. The house is spacious with ample places to spread out. The kids loved the hot tub, ping pong and cornhole. The great room was a perfect spot to hang and watch a movie or play games. The house is completely appointed with all of the cooking essentails. Great location within proximity to town. Molly was easy to communicate with, and she even provided us with a contact for a babysitter (thanks, Pam)! 10/10 recommend and would for sure look to book again if we are to find ourselves in Durango in the future.

Great stay

This house has lots of space to spread out and plenty of sleeping spaces. Great spaces to gather when we wanted to all be together and great spaces to retreat during quiet and down times. We had a group of 10 adults and teens and were very comfortable. The location and the beauty surrounding the house is stunning. The house has almost everything you need. It lacks a toaster (the toaster oven is small and slow) and a metal spatula for flipping burgers on the well working grill. Minor stuff! Our biggest issue is the house gets hot and stuffy in the late summer afternoons despite all the suggested efforts to keep it cool. The basement stays cool so it was an ok place to escape. Loved the ping pong table, the hot tub, gas fire pit, and the deck seating. We would absolutely stay there again!!
