Hidden Haven - Kids friendly home, Great Location, Extended Deck, Outdoor Dining

Enjoy this beautiful modern home (sleeps 14) all year round! Less than a mile from the ski slopes (seasonal views of ski slopes), and easy access to Massanutten Resort with golf courses, an indoor water park, Massanutten Overlook, and the Family Adventure Park.

The main floor features a comfy seating area and a fireplace, a large dining area that can fit 10, and a very well-equipped kitchen. There is a spacious bedroom with a king bed and attached half bath.

The upper level leads to three bedrooms, including the master suite with a king bed, seating area, and a full bath. There is also a workstation with two monitors. One of the guest bedrooms has a king bed, and the other has two full beds. There is an additional full bath on the upper level with jetted tub and a shower. All the bedrooms have 55" smart TVs.

The basement opens to a movie theater area with a large sectional couch and an 85 inch TV. There is a foosball table, pool table, and a closet filled with board games, puzzles, and books in the gaming area next to the fifth bedroom. The basement bedroom includes two bunk beds.

Linens and towels are provided.

This house also features blazing fast internet access (~1200MBPS).

Everyone had a wonderful stay. The house had most everything we needed. The host was very responsive to all communication. I would suggest adding extra blankets especially for this time of year. But other than that, everything was perfect.

Great house! It looks exactly as described and pictured. This place was perfect for our group of friends. We did have some trouble locking up but the property manager came by as we were leaving so it was fine. We will definitely look to stay there again in the future. Thank you

Quick weekend getaway perfection

This was a great property for our weekend getaway! The place was well appointed with everything we needed and was close to everything we had planned to do. It was clean and well maintained- perfect for our three families of 4. We will book this house again!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in McGaheysville and appreciated the excellent communication with the property manager. They were responsive, and easy to work with. The location within the Massanutten Resort area was great and very convenient to James Madison University. The kitchen was well equipped, and the dining area was spacious and perfect for gathering as a group.That said, the property itself appears to need some attention and general maintenance. The house overall seemed somewhat neglected, and the interior could really benefit from fresh paint, as the walls were pretty beat up. Unfortunately, the housekeeping/cleanliness was disappointing. The bathroom shower stalls and floors appeared dirty, stained, and worn. We also loved spending time on the deck, but the outdoor furniture was stained and dirty. Additionally, the gas grill was extremely filthy upon arrival, and it took about an hour to clean before it could be used for cooking.Another disappointment was that the main floor bedroom and the owner’s suite did not have suitable places to hang clothes, which was not ideal during our stay. We also felt the photos used in the property listing were clearly outdated and did not accurately reflect the home’s current condition. In addition, the driveway is on an extremely steep slope/hill, which could make navigating to and from the property difficult for anyone with physical limitations or mobility concerns.

Beautiful fall stay

This house did not disappoint. There was plenty of space in this nicely appointed home and we were close to amenities yet we felt like we had plenty of privacy amongst the beautiful trees surrounding this property. We will stay again!

Great option for JMU graduation!

The house was large enough for our big group! We especially appreciated the open floor plan on the main floor and the outdoor gathering space. The grill was a great feature and the sun hits the deck most of the day. We enjoyed our long weekend and are glad we chose this house over hotel rooms for JMU graduation.

Great location and nice, open floor plan!

We enjoyed a wonderful extended weekend here with three families/many kids! The house has great separation for multiple families and three king beds (awesome!). The location was fantastic. We hiked, rode ponies, fed the farm animals, and cooked meals in the well-appointed kitchen. The place was clean and our communication with Lee was excellent. We plan to be back…thank you!!

Perfect getaway

Great location and easy to get to the slopes in under 5 minutes! Celebrated our sons 16th Birthday with family and friends and there was something for everyone. House/bedroom layout is great. Property manager/owner was responsive and accommodating! Can’t wait to book again!

We love this property - it’s the perfect size for our group, the hosts are super responsive and accommodating, and convenient to all Massanutten has to offer. The kitchen is well appointed. If you have people staying downstairs in winter, I recommend you bring an extra heater or blanket, but I like the cold so it works for us!

Nice house near Shenandoah

My family and I (6 adults and 3 children) stayed for a great week-long vacation in June. The house was clean and Lee was always very responsive if there were any extra supplies we needed. The kitchen is very well stocked and has an open lay out, which was appreciated since we cooked frequently. It is just over 20 mins from the house to the nearest Shenandoah NP entrance station and there are a few grocery stores 15-20 min away. We were a little disappointed that we were unable to access the pool nearby as we expected based on the listing. It is also worth noting that the driveway is a bit tricky. There is plenty of room behind the house, but you have to go down a steep and curved driveway without much room to turn around at the bottom. We only had two cars and can imagine it being harder with much more than that, but doable. Overall a very nice house and a nice stay.
