Ocean manor has it all, it IS the perfect vacation place with his fun Tiki bar by the pool, his heated pool,his 'private beach', his restaurants and his upscale sushi restaurant. Just bring your bikini and tooth brush and your are on to the most enjoyable time in sunny Florida.

About The Owner

We are the dynamic duo, Carole and Victor! We have been in the hospitality and management business the last 21 years. We ran a beautiful Bed & Breakfast on the beach in Lauderdale by the Sea for 14 years and have been doing vacation rentals for the last 7 years. We live and work in Fort Lauderdale and therefore are always available for our guests. Carole focuses on guest reservations and communications while Victor handles check-ins and anything else the guests might need. We know the area very well, living in South Florida for the past 21 years, and can advise you on restaurants, attractions, shopping and everything else South Florida has to offer you!

Right on the Beach!!

We really enjoyed our week long stay in this two bedroom apartment right on a lovely beach in Fort Lauderdale. The beach was not too crowded either and we were able to get chairs, an umbrella and towels each morning for the beach for a fee. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. We purchased some groceries across the street at Winn Dixie which was really convenient and had some lunches in the apartment to get a break from the sun. We also actually ate out at the beach quite a bit with the Tiki bar restaurant conveniently located right before stepping out onto the beach. Delicious and quality food options and great beach cocktails were nice to have each day and kept us on the beach for the majority of the day. We also frequented the Tiki in the evening and it has quite the fun vibe with lots of folks enjoying the evening right off the beach. We also dined at the Italian Restaurant located in the hotel and LOVED it! We ate dinner at many local restaurants which were all very conveniently located.

We had my college age daughter and her college friends with us and they were very happy to go jet skiing one morning. The hotel next door offers sea kayaks and jet ski's which was also very convenient.

The location was superb and not too crazy with vehicle traffic which was a plus. We rented a car for the week so this was pretty important. I've stayed at many places from Fort Lauderdale all the way down to South Beach and traffic on A1A can be brutal. This was a really pleasant area of Fort Lauderdale. I would rent this apartment again in the future because the location is phenomenal.

Great views. Ends there.

1. The bed pillows were extremely old, flat and not what we've come to expect from our many previous VRBO stays. We had to stuff 3 of them into a pillow case to make one decent pillow.

2. The bed sheets are old and worn. Need replaced!

3. The bath towels were polyester. Not very absorbent. Plain cotton terry towels are the norm at everywhere we've stayed.

4. In our previous VRBO stays at Ocean Manor, and other locations, we always had a mid-week maid service. Simple. Clean sheet and towels. Not here.

5. Tuesday, I dropped and broke a large jar of pickles on the kitchen floor. Huge mess! My fault. My clean-up. Except when I went to cleaning closet, had a broom but no dust pan. Had a mop bucket but no mop! I texted the owner to see about getting those delivered and got no reply. A roll and a half of paper towels later, mess was cleaned up. (Adapt! Improvise! Overcome!) I texted owner never mind, mess cleaned up. They replied they wrote text to housekeeping but for got to send it. No biggie. I told them the condo still needed dust pan and mop. They responded, they'd take care of it. Left Saturday, still nothing.

6. A floor to ceiling blind slat in the guest bedroom was missing. Found it hanging in the closet. So someone obviously knew it was there. WE repaired it at replaced it.

7. Two table lamps did not have on/off switches that worked. Had to plug and plug light to use them. (Living room and guest bedroom.)

Summary: The space in the condo is great. The living area furniture is very comfortable. The 7th floor views were magnificent.

However, for the amount of money we spent for this condo, we expect at the very least, hotel quality bedding and towels! We are frequent users of VRBO properties and this is the first review we have ever given negative feedback on. These fixes are very easy to take care of. Hopefully future user will benefit from this review.

Great location, looked at the sunrise from the bedroom window every morning.

I rated 4 stars just because the apartment is not a 5 star apartment. But we loved the location, close to cvs and the grocery store. There is a spa downstairs. Great heated pool and the beach. We had a great time. As an improvement I would suggest to put a sharp knife. There is no knife to peel the fruits or cut the watermelon. The available knifes look like the steak knifes. I would go there again. Thanks

Noisy !

This is a really nice room. Clean and modernized. The only thing lacking is plug ins! There are only a few in the whole place. Ugly cord going in a door crack! The main Tv is VERY blurry and the other two are super small. BUT our main problem was noise. The tiki bar down below is loud till around 1am. And even worse is the neighbors above are self remodeling amd We complained several times. They hammered and drilled from 5pm to 11pm every night. It was insane, almost like they purposely made noise when we were in the room. Hector said they would comp us a night or two but it never happened. We actually left a day early! It's a beautiful beach and I loved the spa! The tiki bar and Italian restaurant are top notch! Just wish the noise wouldn't have ruined our stay! Oh and the beds are super hard and made it hard to sleep. The leather sectional is VERY comfie though

Owner's Response: Dear Guest I apologize if the condo didn't meet your expectations. I had inspected the condo, as usual, a couple of hours before your arrival and there was absolutely no roaches or other insects. The pest control sprayed the whole building 2 days before and it can happen that we found one or two small roaches. In this case, there was nothing at all. Pest control spay each and every building, house.... every month: this is Florida! As for the TV, you should have contacted me. the switch behind the door controls the TV outlet: I gave you my cell phone number precisely for you to contact me should you need ANYTHING AT ALL (please refer to my email dated Friday October 27th at 10:14pm). The missing blinds have been ordered and are supposed to arrive shortly. We will fix the commode if it is loose, no problem. It would have been really nice if you had talked about the amazing views from each and every room in the condo, about the gorgeous new 2 bathrooms, about the size of 1500 sf, about the fact that I had to go in the evening to verify your identity because VRBO couldn't, about the fact that you made the reservation the day before arrival and I offered you the rate that you had from the reservation that was pulled under you.

Condo With View Delivered

My sisters and I wanted a relaxing and memorable weekend escape. We got just what we wanted and then some. Our stay was wonderful. Carole was awesome - friendly and accommodating. The condo was everything advertised. The location and its' amenities was perfect for our getaway. Several of our Facebook friends inquired as to where we were when they saw our pictures. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. If we were to offer suggestions it would be to give attention to the living room blinds, update the hangers in the closets, dress the bathrooms with toilet tissue holders/racks and although they were clean it's time to purchase new linen for the beds. However, even without those changes, we had a ball and are ready to book again next year for a longer stay!!!
