Great communication from the host. They were very responsive and flexible. The house wasn’t as clean as we expected - specifically there were bugs in the kitchen - alive and dead. The furniture in the family room was ok but saggy. Same for the dining room chairs. The basement was a little musty. Everywhere else was as described in the listing. Compared to other properties available in the area, this was a good deal given the number of beds.

Guest house for wedding attendees

Our daughter got married near by and this was a beautiful place to have some family and friends stay for the event. We loved everything about the house. The location was fabulous. Thanks for sharing your home.

Great place

The place is great. There are a couple of bedrooms that are small and not very environmentally comfortable but they work for a place to sleep. Overall, the place is great and in a prime location.

We needed a place that our family could stay together for a wedding. This house was perfect and centrally located to everything! The hosts answered all my questions within an hour!! Highly recommend !!

Great House

The house was perfect. It had everything we needed. We had 5 kids and the backyard was great for them to play in. We enjoyed all the various social areas; there was space for everyone to be together, or in groups. The owner was immediately responsive to our questions.

Family Wedding Weekend

The house was in a good location, was spacious enough for the 12 of us and suited our family well. Would have been nice to have another full bathroom downstairs. Overall, it suited our needs and the host was very attentive.

Perfect in every way

My family stayed here the weekend of my daughters wedding nearby. Plenty of room to spread out and give the bridesmaids their own space for hair and makeup. Catered dinner for a small gathering out of town guests. Everyone loved the house. All questions were answered immediately by the property owner.

Amazing stay with Southern Charm

I can't say enough good things about this stay. The house was beautiful and clean. The host was so wonderful and sweet. This was a business trip for some training in Atlanta for some of our Project Managers. They came from all over the US and stayed here in this beautiful home. They were amazed at the beautiful Southern Charm and the comfort that was provided so our stay was the greatest! Again the home and Host, are just lovely. I would recommend this stay to anyone.

Family Military Retirement

My husband retired after 32 years in the Air Force and we had alot of family attending the ceremony at the last base we were stationed at so it gave the ability to stay all together and allow friends to come over and celebrate with us afterwards. Lots of bedrooms is very helpful. Screenroom was nice as well. We arrived a couple hours early and the host allowed us to check in early , we had a great weekend! Thank you

Wedding

Parking is a little tight. I was happy I wasn't driving my truck. I was in the area for my youngest son's wedding. I had family that had traveled from multiple states to be at the wedding stay at the house. The house worked well for all of us. One other comment it would have been nice to have the garage door code.

Not as advertised

There were very few towels and wash clothes. Blankets were missing, 2 of the beds smelled like urine, the outlets in the kitchen did not work and there were plenty of roaches!

Dear Takisha, You never communicated that you were having 25 guests in the house. The house perfectly accommodates 14 guests not 25. It’s easier for us to plan on linens when guests are accurate with the amount of guests that will be staying at the house. I wish you had called me anytime during your stay to give me the opportunity to fix any issue you weren’t happy about. I could have told you all the closets where extra towels and wash cloths are located. Also I could had gone personally to check on the mattress to swap them out immediately. All our mattresses have bed protectors and are cleaned every time a guest leaves. I will check the kitchen outlets since it’s the first time anyone complains about outlets. We have a pest control company they guarantees there aren't insects inside of the house. The traps you saw were left by the pest control company outside of the house in some corners.

Not too pleased

14 people, 2 TVs. 1 in family room one in master bedroom! Mattresses sank in the middle in 3 bedrooms. Newly completed suite downstairs- bedframe supported on one side with a brick! Other side dipped down at the head. Old food in freezer and fridge. Bread above microwave! Filthy coffee pot, grill disgusting, untensils dirty. 14 people, two towels on each bed. About 4 extra towels. No curtains in the master suite toilet room. We hung a towel on a hanger and the window frame. Towels/washcloths I’m sure we’re washed but so dingy/some stained you kinda didn’t want to use them but trusted they’d been washed. Washer had caked soap powder in the center agitator. Lint trap was beyond full in dryer AND no battery in the smoke detector. The slide compartment was open, no battery. I took pictures of it all. As lovely as it looks, pictures are deceiving. I wouldn’t stay here again. I felt bad for my family members who traveled so far for our reunion. I was embarrassed.

This guest tried to cancel their stay one day before their arrival wanting a full refund. Even when our policy is clear in the app rules, she wanted to debate our own rules. As a courtesy we tried to accommodate them in other dates which she refused. She was already upset before her arrival to the house and that’s why she decided to leave this review. The “food leftovers” that this guest refers to are in fact two brand new boxes of Pattie’s that I left as of courtesy in the fridge along with ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard for the guests. We have towels hangers behind every single bedroom door in the house, I will mention the hangers in the guest welcome message so they know where they are located. We have plenty of towels and washcloths for our guests to use 16 in the beds as stated by this guest plus 10 more in the closet. We have curtains in every bedroom as everyone can see in the pictures. We have comfortable mattresses and we do not have any trouble with our smoke detectors throughout the house. Sincerely, Liam

Wir haben uns grundsätzlich sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Wasser in den Zimmern, die Getränke im Kühlschrank und die Früchte waren eine sehr nette Geste und sehr willkommen! Einzig die Sauberkeit und Duschmöglichkeiten (auf die Anzahl Schlafmöglichkeiten) lassen etwas zu wünschen übrig. Sonst sehr netter Host.
