The 120 year old farm house was restored with a lot of love to detail. You can let your soul go for a stroll here and experience the never-ending beauty of nature. The house has a lot of charm and comfort. The rooms are on different floors and are all tastefully furnished. There are many interesting books for almost every taste for those book worms. The house has two beautiful inner courtyards and a wonderful garden (approx. 6000 m², 2500 m² of which is fenced-in). A spring flows into a spring pool, old trees provide shade. When its hot: jump in the pool (6 m x 12 m) - while swimming, enjoy the wonderful surroundings and have an unforgettable experience. Spoil yourself with a little piece of the Provence and enjoy the lavender fragrance. This is one of the most beautiful spots on Earth!

Perfect

The house was perfect for two families with older children or, as in our case, grownup children. There was so much space, in fact we felt we didn't do it justice. And the garden was another world! So many little areas to sit and contemplate the wonderful views. The location is within walking distance of Villars, with it's fabulous bakery, bar and restaurants, and easy drives to numerous beautiful villages.

Characterful home in the heart of rural Provence

We had a wonderful family vacation at Les Joumillons. There were 6 of us, including 4 grown up kids from 17-22yrs and the house and gardens had plenty of room for us all to spread out and have a bit of space. The kitchen is very well-appointed, which made eating-in a pleasure, but there are many restaurants within a short walk/cycle/drive too. It was incredibly hot during our stay and despite the thick stone walls, the bedrooms were tricky to keep cool, though I’m sure this is only an issue in the height of summer. The beds were comfortable however. The friendly housekeeper met us on arrival and showed us around. As others have noted, she only speaks French but we managed to communicate fine between my pigeon attempts at the language and gesture! And the owner is very responsive on email / messaging if you have any queries before or during your stay. We’d highly recommend this place - go ahead and book; you won’t regret it.

Family Getaway in Luberon Region

The house was as advertised although we didn’t realise there were so many internal stairs which meant we had to keep all eyes on our 15 month old granddaughter. Having said that, it was a brilliant house for everyone to spread out. Our daughter, son in law and two granddaughters under the age of 5 took the whole top floor which worked brilliantly for them. There were numerous places to eat. We ate every day outside in the courtyard and the garden and pool area were superb. Only a 10 minute walk up the hill into Villars. Brilliant place to base yourself to tour the many villages in the region and wine tasting. Only negative was that we bought a dvd for the grandchildren to watch for “quiet time” and the DVD player ate it. We contacted the housekeeper and she was going to return with a new machine in the morning. This was on day 2 and we didn’t hear from her before we left on day 6. Also she only speaks French so if you can’t speak French then checking in and learning about the house could be an issue. We had a brilliant time here.

Sehr schönes altes liebvolles restauriert es Haus. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Fam.Filmer war sehr bemüht ,auch ihre Hausdame Odette. Großes Lob. Die Landschaft ist ein Traum,aber für Kinder langweilig. Der Pool hat uns gerettet.

Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub mit Freunden und Familie.Der Garten ist ein Traum. Tolle Aussicht, sehr gepflegt, ein großer Pool für Groß und Klein. Man muss sich bewusst sein, dass er nicht an das Haus angrenzt. Man geht über einen Feldweg in den eingezäunten Garten. Hat uns aber gar nicht gestört. Um das Haus und im Garten gibt es zahlreiche Sitzplätze für alle Bedingungen. Das Haus ist ein altes Bauernhaus, etwas verwinkelt, aber total charmant. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Traumhafter Urlaub

Bei unser Ankunft wurden wir sehr herzlich in Empfang genommen und in alles Notwendige eingewiesen. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und es ist wirklich alles da, was man benötigt. An heißen Sommertagen laden der große Garten mit dem sehr sauberen Pool und einem traumhaften Blick sowie ein lauschiger Innenhof ein und an regnerischen Tagen findet man im Haus viele Möglichkeiten, es sich gemütlich zu machen. Es ist alles sehr gepflegt und wenn man Fragen hat, steht einem in der Nachbarschaft oder von denen das Anwesen betreuenden, sehr engagierten Ortsansässigen immer jemand sehr freundlich und zugewandt zur Verfügung. - Mein Hobby sind Pflanzen und ich habe auf sehr nette Art einige neue Erkenntnisse dazugewonnen. - Wenn man sich selber versorgen möchte, ist alles vorhanden und in der näheren Umgebung finden sich zahlreiche Einkaufsmöglichkeiten auch von regionalen Produkten. Zudem bietet die Umgebung viele abwechslungsreiche Ausflugsmöglichkeiten und wir haben es häufig genossen, einfach abends noch einmal einen Spaziergang durch die Weinfelder mit Blick auf die umliegenden Dörfer und Berge zu machen. Im Namen unseres Sohnes, der mit seiner Abschlussarbeit beschäftigt war, sei noch angemerkt, dass das Internet phänomenal sei und Konferenzen mit seinem Betreuer absolut unproblematisch gewesen seien, zumal das Haus auch diesbezüglich einen sehr schönen Arbeitsplatz bot. Wir hätten es nicht besser treffen können!

Wunderschönes Haus

Das Haus hat alles, was man benötigt, um einen erholsamen Urlaub zu verbringen. Es ist ein sehr authentisches Haus, dem man anmerkt, dass es von seinen Besitzern liebevoll eingerichtet und gestaltet wurde. Der Garten ist schon fast ein kleiner Park, wunderschön angelegt und mit einem tollen Pool, von dem man einen unvergleichlichen Blick über den Luberon hat. Alles in allem haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden bestimmt wiederkommen!

herrliche Auszeit

Wir wurden in Les Joumillion von Madame Sardet sehr herzlich empfangen und fühlten und von Anfang an sehr wohl. Wir genossen den authentischen, provencalischen Charme des Anwesens in vollsten Zügen. Der Garten mit dem herrlichen Blick über die Gebirgszüge des Luberon ließ keine Wünsche offen. Es war ein toller Urlaub, Vielen Dank.

Entspannte Tage, weg von Corona und Alltag!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in Les Joumillons sehr genossen. Das Haus hat seinen ganz eigenen Charme und wir haben uns von der ersten Minute an wohlgefühlt. Es war toll, so ein riesiges Grundstück für sich zu haben und - obgleich der sehr freundlichen, hilfsbereiten Nachbarn in direkter Nähe - somit auch das Gefühl, vollkommen für sich zu sein. Der Kontakt zu Frau Filmer war freundlich und sehr offen. Mit kleineren Kindern und Wasserratten würde ich persönlich das nächste Mal mehr darauf achten, dass der Pool direkt auf dem Grundstück des Hauses ist und von der Terrasse her einsehbar. Um zum Pool zu kommen, muss man aus dem Haus einen kleinen Weg runterlaufen, um in den eigentlichen Garten zu kommen - wirklich nur ein paar Meter, also nicht schlimm. Für Familien mit ganz kleinen Kindern hat das den enormen Vorteil, dass der Pool so nicht so einfach für kleine Ausreißer erreichbar ist. Sehr sicher also. Für uns wäre es anders entspannter gewesen, weil die Kinder dann im Blick sind, aber man muss nicht zwingend direkt dabei sein. Doch das nur am Rande. Denn insgesamt haben wir den Aufenthalt wirklich sehr genossen und danken für die schöne Zeit!

Liebhaberstück

Wir, zwei Familien mit Kindern zwischen zehn und fünfzehn Jahren, haben eine wunderschöne Woche in diesem liebevoll gestalteten, großzügigen und mit allem, was der Urlauber brauchen kann, ausgestatteten Haus verbracht. Besonders gefallen haben uns die unterschiedlichen Plätze zum Verweilen im Freien , ob am Pool, unter der Platane, im Innenhof oder an welchem Platz sonst noch . Es ist schon einzigartig, was Familie Filmer ihren Gästen da zu Verfügung stellt. Wir kommen unbedingt und gerne wieder.

Eines der schönsten Urlaube in der Provence!

Les joummilons ist ein traumhaftes Anwesen, das schönste welches wir je in der Provence gemietet haben. Das Haus ist sehr großzügig gestaltet und äußerst geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es verfügt über alles was man braucht und viel mehr. Det Garten und der Pool ist ein Traum. Wir wurden auch sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend empfangen von Verwaltet. Rundum der Urlaub war ein 100 0/0 Erfolg.Wir können es Jedermann weiter empfehlen.

Das zweite Jahr in Joumillons

Was gibt es all den schönen und zutreffenden Bewertungen hinzuzufügen? Das alte französische Landhaus wärmte mit seinem Charme unsere Herzen. Verbunden durch zahlreiche kleine Treppen finden sich auf den diversen Ebenen gemütliche Schlafzimmer mit Licht, Luft und jeweils ein Bad angrenzend oder gegenüber. Wir alle haben hervorragend geschlafen. Was im Haus beginnt, wird draußen weitergeführt. Eine Terrasse hier, ein Atrium dort, ein schattiger Teich, ein sonniger Pool und all das eingebettet in einen sehr weitläufigen, ausgesprochen liebevoll angelegten Garten, der eher den Namen Park verdient. Wer es authentisch und ursprünglich mag, Ruhe sucht und sich an Lavendelrabatten ebenso freuen kann wie an wild wuchernden Rosen, ist hier richtig. Mehr Provence geht kaum. Schönere Provence auch nicht.

ein wunderschöner Platz

wir fanden das perfekte Haus für unseren Urlaub vor. Es war sehr gepflegt und noch schöner, als die Bilder es vermitteln. Auch der Garten mit Pool ließ keine Wünsche offen. Wer Ruhe sucht und auch im Urlaub nicht auf Komfort verzichten möchte ist hier genau richtig. Wir bedanken uns und kommen gerne wieder.

Ein schöner Urlaub in Les Joumillons

Ein ungewöhnliches, altes Haus erwartete uns, mit all dem Charme, den man sich in der Provence erhofft. Nach dem Eintreten gelangt man in eine gemütliche Küche, von dort aus geht es Stufen hoch, von denen aus sich immer wieder großzügige und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Räume eröffnen. Die Betten/ Matratzen waren die besten, die wir in unseren Provenceurlauben je vorfanden! Unser häusliches Leben spielte sich weitgehend im sog. Küchenhof ab, einem Innenhof, dem ein alter Baum Schatten spendet - herrlich zum Frühstücken oder um abends ein Glas Wein zu trinken. Ein paar Schritte über den Hof des Weilers "Les Joumillons" gelangt man durch eine würdige Pforte in den gegenüberliegenden Garten, der romantisch auf mehreren Ebenen angelegt ist. Sommerküche, Boulefläche, schattige Plätze und ein sehr gepflegter Swimmingpool mit Panoramablick über den Luberon lassen viel Platz für die ganze Familie. Die Betreuung vor Ort durch ein benachbartes Ehepaar war sehr fürsorglich (wir hatten den Eindruck, sie freuten sich über Französischkenntnisse), der Kontakt zur Vermieterin ausgesprochen nett...und als uns nach der langen Anfahrt eine gekühlte Flasche Wein erwartete, wussten wir schon, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Einmalig + überwältigend

Nach Les Joumillions kommen, heisst "nach Hause" kommen! Es ist mehr als "die Seele baumeln lassen" - Les Joumillions ist "eine Tankstelle für das Gemüt"! Und so können wir nur jeder grossen Familie empfehlen, in diesem wunderschönen, so besonderen, grossen Haus an diesem wunderbaren Ort im einmaligen Luberon einmal die Ferientage zu verbringen. Alles stimmt dort: die gesamte Einrichtung ist harmonisch und individuell, an alle Notwendigkeiten, die ein wertiges Feriendomizil benötigt, wurde gedacht, alles ist sehr gepflegt und sauber. Die Betreung ist überaus freundlich und jederzeit ansprechbar. Die über das ganze Haus verteilte Bibliothek ist einmalig. Alle Bäder sind in einem sehr guten Zustand und die Küche möchte man niemals mehr verlassen. Der gesamte Aussenbereich bietet alle Möglichkeiten, die man sich für die Ferien vorstellt. Die Ausblicke in die Ferne sind überwältigend! Fazit: wir hatten bis zu diesem Sommer schon sehr viele Top-Ferienhäuser in ganz Europa gemietet - nach Les Joumillions werden wir immer wieder zurückkehren.

provenzalisches Paradies

Wenn man wissen möchte, wo man "wie Gott in Frankreich" leben kann: dann hier in "Les Joumillion". Ein beschauliches und großzügiges Anwesen, genügend Platz für 8 Personen, ein großer Garten mit Weitblick in den Luberon, ein top gepflegter Pool, umgeben von reifen Feigen und Trauben - zum Genießen. Müßig zu erwähnen, dass hier alles perfekt und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet ist. Es fehlt an Nichts. Dies alles umgeben von einer wunderbaren Landschaft und malerischen Dörfern des Luberon. Memories to last a lifetime

The On-Line description of this villa -- as a "restored old farmhouse with a lot of charm" -- is a gross understatement! My wife and I, along with three other couples (good friends all) passed an idyllic week here in early September. We had high hopes that the "Villa by Villar" would be everything we hoped for. It was so much more. From the moment we arrived we all understood that this was a very special place -- so beautifully decorated and so meticulously cared for. Christian was welcoming (in a firm but friendly way) and was helpful whenever we needed assistance. Odette even delivered a delicious plum pudding. Your neighbours were so welcoming and generous. We feared we would get lost in this rambling maze of beautiful rooms, including the various sitting rooms, the library and dining areas. The kitchen was completely equipped and a joy to cook in -- which we did often. The patio garden was a place to meet and share early morning breakfasts and late evening meals with copious quantities of local wines and cheese. In the mid-day heat, the pool was a welcome and much used treat. You have created a small perfect point of seclusion and peace where it is so very very easy to simply unwind and let the beauty of the Luberon remind you of how good life can be -- good friends, good food, good wine, and now, good memories to last a lifetime. Thank you very much for sharing your marvelous villa in Les Joumillons.

Urlaub wie Gott in Frankreich

Wir haben zusammen mit zwei befreundeten Paaren einen traumhaften Urlaub hier verbracht. Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe und Charme ausgestattet und hat auf mehreren Ebenen reichlich Platz und Rückzugsmöglichkeiten. Der Pool liegt inmitten eines wunderbaren gepflegten Gartens und bietet einen grandiosen Ausblick in die Natur. Einer unserer mitgereisten Bekannten ist ein leidenschaftlicher Hobbykoch und hat uns in der sehr gut ausgestatteten Küche so manches Schlemmermahl zubereitet. Man kann in dem zu Fuß erreichbaren Ort Villars jedoch ebenfalls sehr gut Essen gehen. Erwähnenswert ist auch das äußerst freundliche und hilfsbereite Hausmeisterehepaar welches sich bestens um uns gekümmert hat. Wir haben zahlreiche Ausflüge in die Umgebung unternommen, welche uns immer wieder aufs neue begeistert hat. Wir möchten gerne wieder kommen um noch vieles zu sehen, zu dem wir leider keine Zeit mehr hatten.
