The house is built from stone in the traditional style of the Mani region and is set in a magnificent location. It offers a free view across the Taygetos landscape, the gorge of Vathi-Lagadi and the Messenian Bay. The air is full of aromatic scents of oregano and rosemary and the tranquillity of the area around the house is very soothing and relaxing. SPITI MAS – means “our house”. The high, wood panelled ceiling, the exposed stone walls, the fireplace and the colourful interior give atmosphere and a special charm to the house.
The comfortable, two-storey stone house is set in a beautiful hillside location in a quiet and idyllic surrounding. Entrance to the first floor is via 18 steps. Adjoining to the living room is an open kitchen. From the living room you have direct access to the large roofed terrace where you can enjoy a wonderful view of Taygetos mountain scenery and the sea. A small hallway leads to the 3 bedrooms and the 2 bathrooms. 2 of the bedrooms have access to the roofed front terrace. The ground level of the house is not developed.
This holiday house is ideal for people who want to enjoy seclusion and absolute tranquillity in the middle of nature. The countryside around the house is ideal for hiking. Just 5 minutes by car you reach the Kalamitsi beach. The small, idyllic village Proastio is a good starting point for tours in near vicinity. The there are many small byzantine churches and chapels to visit. Whether you are a sun worshipper, interested in culture or you love hiking, you will all find what you are looking for. Even if you don´t want go out you can still spend your day on the terrace enjoying the magnificent view towards the gorge and across the sea. Especially the sunsets are wonderful to watch from the terrace.
