Man übernachtet in einer Bibliothek. Kann immer mal wieder Bücher, von den man mal gehört hat, anlesen. Es ist alles da. Küche sehr gut ausgestattet. Lage ist einmalig. Freier Blick auf die Bucht und den Berg. Geschäfte und Restaurants fußläufig. Ein großer Supermarkt (iGabbiani) für den Großeinkauf mit Discountware aber auch sehr gut sortierter Frisch-Fisch / Fleisch / Käsabteilung /Obst≥müseabteilung mit sehr guter Qualität, 5 Autominuten. Pool klein aber tief für das morgentliche Wachwerden und als Betthupferl super geeignet. Einwohner alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Nicht billig dafür preiswert und kein Nepp . Betreuung Vorort vorbildlich. Tipp: Ausflüge etc. nicht per Internet sondern Vorort buchen.

Für Lesefreudige und Menschen , die einen wirklich traumhaften Ausblick haben möchten.

Die Wohnung ist angenehm großzügig, mit vielen persönlichen Dingen, wie eine Unmenge an Büchern und CDs. Es war eine interessante Erfahrung dort wohnen zu können. Der Vermieter war freundlich.

Not what was advertised! Not the cleanest either!

When we arrived, there was no air conditioner! It was advertised as having one! The pictures only show 1 bedroom! The other room by the pool was very small plus another room outside was musty, and moldy snarling. The owners were quick to respond, but no resolution as of yet! It was promised a compensation but again nothing! Our stay in Italy was very nice as a whole, but this listing was a disappointment!

A great place to spend time as a group

I stayed with my 3 grown up kids in this lovely location. It is a lovely space, feels very much like a place that someone has lived in and easy to relax in. You have everything you need in either of the kitchens to cater for a group. To explain there are two buildings which you can stay in. There are plenty of beds although if you want private rooms this is more limited. We had both buildings and I recommend you do that so that you have the space to yourself. There is a pool which is not huge but great if you want to relax and cool down. It's no more than a 10 minute walk down to the sea front, double that to get to the centre of Giardini Naxos. It is quite a steep walk down and then back up again but not far and definitely worth walking if you don't like getting stuck in the inevitable traffic. We took the drive up to Taormina, that was absolutely lovely and a must do while you are there. I would like to add that Bernhard was very good with communication and talked me through what I needed and where to go, which made me feel very relaxed even before I arrived. Overall I thoroughly recommend this place and I come back to this are I would definitely stay here again. Nick

Peut et doit mieux faire

Nous avons passé 4 nuits du 7 au 11 août. Nous ignorions totalement le relief à cet endroit de la côte. Pas fan des endroits étriqués, à la circulation difficile, Giardini-Naxos n’est sans doute pas le bon endroit pour nous. Pour les points positifs, la terrasse et la vue sur la mer. Pour le reste, notre hôte avait pour ambition de louer en 2 lots différents sur la même période. Heureusement que nous avons été seuls et avons pu profiter des 2 parties habitables. Il était initialement prévu qu’on partage la piscine (enfin il serait plus correct de parler de petit bassin d’agrément que de piscine, même si bien rafraîchissante !) avec d’autres locataires. C’est complètement impossible ! Il y a 2 chambres indépendantes en plus des 2 appartements qui pour l’une au-dessus de la piscinette est adossée à la falaise et chauffée à blanc toute la journée sans climatisation ! L’autre est carrément une pièce aveugle visiblement insalubre à en juger l’odeur qui s’en dégageait. Rajoutez à cela une propreté plus que douteuse notamment de la cuisine. Heureusement que l’un des appartements avait la climatisation. Nos 4 enfants y ont bien dormi. Pas d’amertume, nous avons profité de la région et finalement passé peu de temps chez notre hôte. Bref, pour le secteur, le site est sans doute très bien, mais pas 2 locataires en même temps, oubliez les 2 chambres en l’etat, plus de transparence dans l’annonce sur ce qui attend le locataire et un peu plus de soin apporté au ménage sont nécessaires.

Fantastisk sted med skøn udsigt over bugten fra terrassen - endnu bedre end på billederne

Fantastisk bolig med skøn udsigt over bugten. Boligen har det hele og er meget personlig. Meget fredeligt på toppen af bakken. Terasserne er skønne, man bliver ikke mæt af udsigten. 10 minuttres gang gennem 6 hårnålesving er man ved restauranter, indkøb og strand - meget centralt. Skønt sted!

Lovely view !

We've spent 5 days in the loft part and we have great memories ! You can see that it's not a simple holiday apartment that you can rent, it's a holiday apartment owned by a family who spent good time there : this means that everything is well thought and well settled. For german-speakers, no need to take any books with you, you'll probably find everything you need on the bookshelves : the choice is as wide as in a bookstore : from classic literature to modern english/french or japanese translated in german literature. During our stay, we didn't use the kitchen at all but as far as I could see, it has everything that you would have in your own kitchen at home. What we enjoyed the most was, of course, the stunning sea-view from the terraces (yes, terrace with an s, because there are 2 terraces : one you can access directly from the living-room, and 1 with the private swimming pool). This is the good place to enjoy a drink in the end of a busy day but also to watch the sunrise at 5 in the morning when everybody sleeps, it's worth it if you're an early bird ! And it was cool to relax a bit in the swimming pool in the end of the day, our daughter loved it ! Good contact by mail with the owner who was reactive and provided us with good advice for beaches and place to enjoy good granita. The place would only need air-conditioning to get the 5* !
