This sweet little miner's cabin was built over a hundred years ago, a few blocks walking distance from the Big Mine. The same walkability makes it a perfect home base for family members to explore from, steps from Elk Ave shops, bars, restaurants, and steps from scenic trails and the bus stop.
Over the years, the log house has been completely modernized with in-floor heat, foam insulation, stucco over the exterior, and most recently, all new kitchen and bathroom. Yes, it is a dollhouse, very cute, very clean, and very easy to live in. Gas heat and gas cooking are marvelous inventions!
Blocks from the Nordic Center, ice Rink, skateboard park, movie theatre and grocery store, there's plenty for visitors to take in, yet on the quiet side of town, away from traffic and noise. Walk home from a night on the town dancing to live music at the Eldo, and make it to the first bus on a powder day (just two short blocks) in your ski boots!
Guests are welcome to bring well-behaved pets; the house has a nice yard and is located on the 'fashionable west side,' an interesting corner of town, close to the WoodsWalk and Lower Loop trails, as well as dog-friendly Nordic trails.
