Perfect in every way

  • 5 of 5

The apartment at Les Archives was absolutely perfect for our party. Warm and cosy (once we'd done our homework on the heating system!) and fully-equipped to settle in for our stay. Very nicely set out and we really felt part of the neighbourhood. Rentmyhomeinparis are an excellent host. There if you need them, booking cars and giving advice but not so in your face that you feel frightened to pick up a cup. Excellent in every way.

Historic building with a lot of character

  • 4 of 5

We spent 7 nights in the apartment on the Rue de Turenne. We took in the Pompidou Center and the Picasso Museum (a short walk from the apartment) and did a lot of sightseeing on the Left Bank. The bus stop, a three minute walk from the apartment, was convenient for visiting the Left Bank. For the rest of Paris, we used the metro which we found very easy to use with a stop about a 7 minute walk away.

The apartment was modern with an open concept and very pleasant. It was well outfitted with appliances. The cooktop is induction and we had a little trouble with it, but after reading the instructions that Sophie left, we were able to figure it out.

One word of caution: I do not recommend the apartment for people with balance issues as it has a two inch step down into each of the bedrooms and a four inch threshold you have to step over to get into the bathroom which could be a tripping hazard. Also, It was difficult to get out of the bathtub for the older generation. Other than those issues, everything was great.

Absolutely the BEST! Location, Service, Quiet!

  • 5 of 5

I traveled to Paris making arrangements only two days before my departure from New York City. I was traveling with a friend, her sister, and their mother who is rapidly losing her eyesight. Her dream was to see Monet's Garden before her vision completely disappears. From my first inquiry on this apartment Sophie was rapid with her responses which helped me to expedite all travel plans and arrangements.

This Apartment is absolutely wonderful! It is perfectly situated in the Marais neighborhood on an easy to get to and well known street which makes taking cabs and Uber super easy. It is literally around the corner from the Picasso Museum and a short walk to Marche Infant Rouge, the oldest market in Paris! This entire neighborhood is just so awesome for strolling and getting lost on the tiny streets. Great local design shops, wine shops, cheese shops, you name it! There is a nice little supermarket just around the corner as well, plus restaurants galore. It is about an 11 euro taxi to the Louvre at the Carousel entrance. Just superb location to feel like you are a Parisian local! The description and photos are wonderful and accurate. The apartment is so quiet, you can not hear any street noise. It is also very spacious and the kitchen has everything you need to cook up some Parisian meals! The bed linens and towels are hotel luxury quality which is an added bonus!

Best of all is the service and information from Sophie and Laure. Wow! Once you book, you are sent the most amazing information video that takes you from the front door on Rue Turrene through the courtyard and into the building and apartment! It takes you throughout the apartment and how to operate the kitchen appliances and clothes washer. Sophie has left no stone unturned. And a super huge bonus is that the rental includes a car service that meets you at (for us) the airport! This is the best after a long flight!!!! Our driver was so sweet and informative and eager to help us in any way. I have rented from VRBO all over Europe and I must say that Sophie's attention to detail and service has been the best!

Thank you Sophie and Laure for this amazing apartment and your wonderful and kind service. Our last minute trip to Paris was stress free mostly due to your helping this to be a seamless stay and transfer! This was my friends' first trip to Paris, and it will be hard to top! I will definitely be booking this flat again! Much gratitude, Elizabeth

Perfect location

  • 5 of 5

It was a wonderful 3 night stay in a well equipped nice quiet apartment. Abundant shopping, great restaurants and cafes all within a 5 to 15 minute walk. And just around the corner is the Picasso Museum. Would definitely stay here again, and again.

The property was clean and maintained well. On charming street set in private courtyard.

It was lovely, and on a wonderful street with fun shops and restaurants close. The apartment was clean and described well. The plan was nice and open which I like. The kitchen was well equipped. It even had a cart to go to the grocery store, very helpful.

I wish we could of stayed a month! The apartment is right off street in a quiet courtyard with lots of windows for light. The house keep the historical beams and floors with a very modern kitchen and bathrooms, best of both worlds! The art, wool rugs, and antiques added to charm.

Wonderful location in Le Marais. Quiet, secure apartment close to public transport.

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful apartment with excellent cooking facilities (no microwave but induction stove), well fitted out and has great artwork. Close to boutique shops, wonderful patisseries and brasseries. Easy walk to the Metro and local museums. Beds were a bit soft for us, but otherwise a perfect stay.
