Luxury Villa Ragusa with pool+Jacuzzi - near Dubrovnik

LOCATION

We are just far enough away from the crowds, located over the border into the quieter Herzegovina region of BOSNIA. (New faster border channels were completed in December 2019).

Villa Ragusa is just a 7 minute drive from the beautiful beaches of Srebreno and Milini and the fabulous jewel of the Adriatic, the city of Dubrovnik. The historic city dates back to the 7th Century with its prominent surrounding walls being a highlight for visitors. The walls have been a popular filming location for the fictional city of “King’s Landing” in the television series, “Game of Thrones”.

Our local, 13th century, walled town of Trebinje is a historic delight to explore. The piazzas and cafe bars nestled under the great “Platani” trees are a great place to people watch and enjoy a coffee or ice cream.

There is a newly opened Water Park and in the evening “Vukoje” winery, with a rooftop terrace and restaurant offers diners great views over the town and river Trebisnjica. The town has something for everyone.

Further afield in Bosnia, Mostar and Kravice waterfalls are a fun day out or why not travel further afield to the Fjords of Kotor in Montenegro.

THE SPACE

Villa Ragusa is a part of the small family resort and undoubtedly a villa with grandest panoramic views over the Dubrovnik Riviera. Located on the top of the mountain, it guarantees complete relaxation and privacy all set within breath-taking scenery. Sleeping 8 this villa really is a home from home!

Beautiful mountain and sea views are best enjoyed from the impressive pool (8.5m x 4m) or from the Jacuzzi and extensive terraces. Relax and sunbathe on the sun loungers with a sun-umbrella provided for shade or 'chill-ax' by the outdoor sofa area, great for pre-dinner cocktails or a game of cards. BBQ and dine alfresco under the pergola covered marble table & enjoy watching the sun setting at the end of the day. If you are not quite ready to call it a night then you could have a night cap and a little more ‘me time’ in the Jacuzzi.

For your convenience there is also a poolside shower & WC, no need to venture inside.

The contemporary design of the villa incorporates all the comforts of modern day living. The light and airy interior is beautifully decorated to a high standard, air-conditioned throughout and with satellite TV and internet access. Modern in style with local hand crafted furniture incorporated into the villa throughout.

The villa’s open plan lounge opens onto the pool and terraces, with comfortable seating, coffee table and a separate TV area. This area has sofa bed, coffee table with its own adjacent bathroom with shower, sleeping an extra 2 guests. There is also a further downstairs cloakroom/WC and separate laundry facilities are available.

The fully fitted kitchen offers you everything you need to prepare your meal from a BBQ to a dinner party with crockery to match, but most importantly a wine fridge so there's no excuse for warm wine! The dining table and chairs are placed so you can enjoy your meal whilst still taking in the view.

The two Master bedrooms have King-sized beds, fitted wardrobes and stunning en suite bathrooms with large walk-in showers and one with a bath. The Twin room opens onto a balcony with additional chairs for you to sit and take in the view of the Adriatic and has an adjacent bathroom with a large walk in shower. An additional 2 guests can be accommodated on the sofa bed in the lounge that has its own private bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Pool heating is included in the cooler months but in July and August it can be offered at £15 per day. The Jacuzzi is heated all year round to the temperature required for your comfort. Please note the pool will not be filled from the end of November until the beginning of April, as it is not possible to heat in the winter months unless requested.

The villa is a part of an ongoing building development, so light work may be undertaken on properties in the vicinity.

GUEST ACCESS

The manager will be there to meet and greet you. However, for the late arrivals, a key safe is available, with code and contact numbers given after booking.

We have also designed a brochure that is updated annually, tantalizing you with ideas of places to visit, complete with maps and directions! Places that are a bit off the beaten track and that the regular tourist won’t know about. We have ideas and tips for excursions, beaches and restaurants and sporting activities that have been recommended by the owner or previous guests. Ideal pool-side reading!

The owner will not be on the premises whilst guests are staying but there will be a property manager to meet and greet you and answer any enquiries.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

All linen is included.

Bedding and towels changed on request or after a 1 week stay.

Bathroom and pool towels are provided but NOT beach towels.

Price includes service/cleaning charge. Plus we offer a complimentary 2 hour mini housekeeping service once per week, servicing the kitchen, lounge and bathrooms.
On request we can provide a full single pull out bed, large baby travel cot, high chair and baby car seat.

We can also offer a babysitting service, if staff is available. There is a small additional cost charged.
