You won't be disappointed in this luxuriously restored 19th century living space complete with a high, chandeliered ceiling, antique parquet floors and granite entryway. Combined with the modern conveniences of high speed Wi-Fi internet, satellite TV, fully equipped granite kitchen, central heating, air conditioning and all the latest.

This sunny, light-filled environment in an off-street setting provides a safe and quiet experience thanks to 24-hour security and an underground parking garage for your vehicle. Step outside our door and find an Italian ice cream and pastry shop. Stroll down the neighborhood streets to witness the ambiance of the imposing 19th century architecture.

We are a 5-10 minute walk from the largest (and most beautiful!) medieval market square in Europe where you can languish over coffee or wine and stroll around absorbing the incredible sights of the Renaissance Sukiennice Cloth Hall (selling Polish arts and crafts), St. Mary's Church (listen for the hejnal - a trumpet tune played from the tallest tower at the top of the hour), and a fabulous line-up of renaissance and medieval townhouses.

Enjoy Krakow's many delicious and charming restaurants, fine shops and exquisite cafes (we have favorites on a list for you in our apartment). Don't miss the Czartoryski Museum, the home of Da Vinci's famous painting, 'Lady With an Ermine', as well as many other fine museums tucked around the Old Town. Catch the opera, ballet, theater or philharmonic while you are here, all within walking distance. In the evenings don't miss Krakow's famous jazz club cellars. There is no end to enjoyable pastimes.

Our family is fortunate to have had the opportunity to live in Poland for 4 years while on a business assignment. We are not of Polish ancestry but found a place in our hearts for the spirit and determination of the Polish people and thoroughly enjoyed our travels around the country. When the assignment was over and we were sent back to the US, we decided to buy an apartment here so that we could come back and visit our adopted country. We chose Krakow, the pearl of Poland, where charm radiates from every inch of its medieval streets and squares. We promise you will fall in love with it too!!

Our apartment is an oasis of comfort in the heart of the old town of Krakow. The 19th century building was recently rebuilt from top to bottom and features all the expected amenities of a 21st century environment. The blend of classic and modern will delight you with it's well-appointed ambiance. Step out the door and you are 5 minutes away from the center of the largest medieval market square in Europe! Discover Krakow's incredibly rich history at Wawel Castle (a short walk away), in Kazimierz, the Jewish Quarter, and in its many fine museums. Enjoy Krakow's lively cafe, restaurant and club scene too. You will find a broad array of activities to fill your time, or simply plant yourself in a cafe on the main square and watch the world go by.

                                  Great 1 bedroom apartment in Krakow.

                                  Susan's apartment in Krakow was perfect for us. We were looking for an apartment on the edge of the old-town area so that we could easily get to most things by foot, but still have a little separation from a noise perspective. Just a two minute walk to the old-town, the location was what we were looking for. The apartment was very clean, well decorated, and very well equipped. The washing machine was very handy. It is the little things make the difference. There was even a roll of duct-tape which I always carry for emergencies. Other thoughtful things included guidebooks and maps.

                                  Corresponding with Susan and her staff was really easy and everyone was very responsive. It was clear from Susan's correspondence that she really cares about your experience. We will definitely come back.

                                  Modern, comfortable apartment in great location

                                  We were completely comfortable and stress-free in this modern, well-equipped and clean apartment located just a seven minute walk away from the market square. The apartment is roomy, with high ceilings and large windows and parquet floors, and the bathroom is modern and includes a washing machine. For hot days, the central air is very welcome. There are grocery stores, coffee shops and tram stops all quite close by. Sue's booklet included all kinds of practical information including restaurant recommendations. She clearly loves the city and wants to make her visitors' stay as enjoyable as possible. A great choice!

                                  Wow! Perfect location: a couple of blocks from the Planty and the Stare Miasto. Quiet: the unit is located in the middle of a block, away from any noisy vehicular traffic or street activity. Safe: twenty four hours security at the entrance of the complex; not that we ever felt we needed. Clean. Spacious. Easy to work instructions on anything we needed to use (washing machine!). We loved it and would love to come back if we are giving half a chance to revisit lovely Krakow. What a town! Susan Hunter is a terrific landlord. Thank you, Susan!

                                  Perfect in Every Way

                                  I stayed in this apartment for 6 weeks while studying Polish during my first ever visit to Kraków and it was, in a word, perfect. I won't reiterate all the things in the other reviews--except to say that I agree with everything that's been said. Sue's description of the property is also spot on.

                                  What don't any of the other reviews mention that I could add? This refrigerator and freezer are big--not just one of those small apartment-size units. There is even a "junk drawer" that has things you might need, but wouldn't be carrying with you--like scotch tape, packing tape envelopes, scissors, string and extra batteries and light bulbs. Here's another perk if you are cooking: the knives are sharp! The closet is very big--plenty of room to hang all your clothes--with built-in drawers and an iron and ironing board (if you need it). There are beautiful wood floors throughout--great for doing yoga! And the huge windows open two ways--plenty of light and air!

                                  A few more things others haven't mentioned: in addition to the pastry/gelato shop, within a few hundred steps of the apartment is a very nice wine store (In Vino Veritas), a flower shop (yes, of course there is a vase in the apartment), a lunch cafe, and a small pharmacy. There are 3 "corner groceries" within a few blocks and a larger supermarket 15 minutes walk away. But best of all is Stary Kleparz--an open air market (with a roof) that has everything from wonderful fresh produce, fresh fish, meats, and local cheese to shoes, dresses, linens and doilies, and flowers. It's barely 10 minutes away and the best place to shop--take small bills with you. There is a great place to get a massage just 2 blocks away and you can even get your hair done at the small Salon M directly across the street (I recommend Renata).

                                  Sue and Agnieszka are both great and extremely responsive and helpful, as others have mentioned.

                                  My only hesitation in recommending this property so highly is that it will become too popular and won't be available for me when I want to return--which I definitely will do. I love this place and you will too.

                                  We stayed in this charming, quiet apartment for two weeks in March. We chose it for the second time as we knew already how wonderful it was. Everything we needed was there, and we appreciated a lot the owner's friendly and quick response to our e-mails as well as the help of the local contact - Agnieszka. The secure underground garage was a big asset as it's rare to find in old Krakow. We also loved the walking distance to the city's main square.

                                  We (3 adults) spent nine nights in this wonderful apartment. You will want for nothing because it has every amenity you could possibly need. My daughter, the cook, was impressed with the well-equipped kitchen. We especially enjoyed the quiet, safe location, and lift. The location is great whether you wish to walk to the sights or use public transport. The bed and sofa bed are very comfortable and there is plenty of room for everyone to sit in the living room for a nice visit and cup of coffee. Sue is easy to work with and willingly shares her knowledge of Krakow. We would definitely stay here again.
