Drive up & park 6 ft from this clean, equipped houseboat in Cypress Cove Marina

Houseboat located on a private road in Cypress Cove Marina. Drive up to private parking for 6 vehicles and walk just steps to the front door to unload your bags and tackle. The living area has plenty of room to hang out and talk about your catch with Sat TV, internet and cell booster. The kitchen has a full refrigerator, microwave, gas oven/range, coffee pot and everything you need to cook your fresh catch. We have 2 bedrooms, one with a twin bunk and the other with two sets of twin/twin bunks. The bathroom has a full shower. The covered back deck has a 3 compartment stainless sink, cleaning station, grill, fan, porch swing and extra seating. We have plenty of boat parking along the side and back porch of the houseboat as well.

Ice machine and washer/dryer included for your convenience.

If you plan on going offshore, we would love to recommend charter companies, just ask!

Convenient location, plenty of room for boats, friendly host, and as far as cleanliness goes for houseboats, it was clean. Would stay again for sure.

Fishing trip

Great location for access to fishing. Close to the boat ramp. Easy to tie up to the back porch and have access to your boat. Great ice maker on the front porch. Lots of parking in front of the houseboat.

Been going to Venice for 10 years. This was by far the worst place that we stayed in. It was dirty upon arrival. Outlets were falling out of walls. Door code to get in wasn’t working. Although that was quickly remedied by using hide a key it was just one more thing we had to keep up with. Refrigerator needs to be upgraded. Ice machine is too small and slow. The drain was clogged in bathroom in shower. I had to clean out myself and it was repulsive. Water pressure is awful. I like the location. But this is a place to go if you truly want to slum it. There are much nicer rentals with better amenities. I would not recommend. I have always loved my rentals in Venice but this one is a no go. I brought these issues up to the owner and they did not respond. Book something early and stay away from this place.

Quiet and great location

Great spot to stay when fishing out of cypress cove marina. Both days we were picked up from the dock to head out. Very clean and comfortable to stay in. Had a little issue with the AC, but that was remedied with a call to the host. Would definitely stay here again on a return trip.

Great parking and docking.

When I book in the Venice area my number one concern is docking for my boat. This place has a great docking setup. Parking for your vehicle is also very good.

OK Stay

The inside of the place was clean, but is showing its age. The ventilation in the sleeping area needed two fans to circulate the cool ac air The fish cleaning station had fish scales and other residue between the large cutting board and the sink. There is a great ice machine on the front poach and being able to back right up to the front door was great for loading and unloading.

Excellent communication by owner

A couple things went wrong during this stay, but the owners were excellent with everything. Great communication. Understanding ownership and responsive. Nothing that they could control, but the way they handled it was great. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Great quiet location right in the marina dock your boat right beside, or behind the houseboat. Perfect for any hunting, fishing, or just get away trip.

Quiet and Accessible

Tucked away from all the noise, was a nice change from the typical boathouse experience. Enjoyed being able to offload straight onto the house. Owner was responsive the entire time.

Frat house on the water

The place had a musky smell and was surfaced clean but pretty dirty. The cabinets and counter top were very nice and the swamp outside was very cool. This a place for a bunch of men fishing, but not a place for a couple or anyone with a mold allergy.

Trout House Review

Pros: Great location with ample parking. Comfortably sleeps 4 people. Washer and dryer was a huge benefit. Owners are very quick to respond to messages. Cons: The sewer smell was very strong when we arrived. The owners were very quick to address it, but the smell never really went away. There is no Traeger grill as pictured. And the house wasn’t very clean. (Used snuff pouch on the ground near fridge, crumbs and wrapper pieces on floor in kitchen/living, heavy dust in corners). We went through and cleaned before unpacking our things. (This problem just needs to be addressed with whoever is hired to clean.) Overall a good experience! The space accommodated our group well.

Fish camp

We were in Venice for 2 days of offshore and 1 day of teal hunting. The camp worked perfectly for our trip. We had room to dock my 32' offshore boat as well as a 16' duck boat.

Everything about this stay was perfect. Doesn't come with a traeger which we were excited about, but it has a grill and works perfectly fine would 100% recommend.

Excellent Property

Property has everything you need to enjoy a fishing trip in Venice! Plenty of beds that are comfortable, fully stocked kitchen, outdoor cleaning station with grill, and icemaker. We had a wonderful time. Excellent communication with property owners with minor questions, and also with advice on where to fish in the area. Definitely recommend!
