This is an exclusive, well-maintained, nicely decorated three bedroom, two bath townhouse in the best neighborhood, surrounded by red rocks, and located alongside the Moab Golf Course. This is a cozy home away from home, with a library of informational literature, uniquely situated with more privacy than most.

If you are longing for a relaxing getaway from the maddening crowd, our townhouse complex has ONLY 18 well cared for units (six buildings). Our pool is not overcrowded. Lots of beautiful landscaping and cool grass. El-shaped community pool and changing room right next door.

Castillo is among the most family-friendly (safe for kids) place to stay. Our location is a quiet residential neighborhood on the east side of the valley, as far as you can get from highway on the west side of the valley. You can walk out your door, up the end of the road past petroglyphs, along the east side of the golf course and into the redrock of the Mill Creek Rim, where the Steelbender trailhead swichbacks down into Mill Creek Canyon. The views are breathtaking. Winter sun on our side of the valley until 4 o'clock.

There are just five beds. The townhouse can sleep a maximum of eight with couples and kids in the mix. Downstairs King bedroom with a full bath and private door to the wrap around patio. Upstairs King suite has a single bed in an alcove. Upstairs Queen bedroom has a single bed in an alcove as well. There is another full bath upstairs.

(PS... Lisa and I lived in our first Castillo 3BR for ten years. Michelle, one of our closest friends, asked us to manage the rental of her unit in 2007, and we have been doing it ever since. We have also taken on the management of six more Castillo townhouses for our friends and neighbors. Our neighbors/friends are like so many Castillo owners that plan to retire here. Our friends love their condos and we love our friends, so we take care of the condos as if they were all our own. We sold our first 3BR to finish the house we built and moved into (very close by) six years ago. Our Montana friends (who have owned this unit since it was built) had to sell this past year. We have rented it for them for a number of years, and were fortunately able to buy the place ourselves,.. so we have a Castillo 3BR again!)

Castillo de las Rocas completed a major remodel last year, new roofs and stucco,..

Castillo is a great place to stay, but, I'll say it again, the best feature of all is our location. It really is the best location of any of the town homes in the immediate Moab area. In town and along the highway on the west side of the valley are lots of nice vacation rentals, but they are in the midst of the hubbub. Our neighborhood is the quietest. I urge people to get out into the 'back of beyond”, but if you don’t have time to disappear into a forgotten canyon with backpack and MRE’s, these townhouses have all the comforts of home, and ours' is one of the few locations you can literally walk out your door, up the road, and into a place and a time out of mind.

Pets ARE allowed, but we are assiduously clean. There is a pet fee and refundable pet deposit.

This unit is a perfect fit with the middle unit next door (#394743). In fact we rent all three of the units in this building. #783406 is the other end unit.

Spacious Townhouse on Southeast side of Moab

Our family was planning to stay in a hotel for Spring Break while visiting the Moab area, but our dog had an injury. We had to quickly find a place that could accommodate our family as well as our recovering dog last minute. Booking with Rob and Lisa was very easy and we were thrilled to avoid the VRBO fees since I paid them directly. The property was clean, spacious, nicely decorated, and in a safe neighborhood. There is a nice gated patio downstairs, and a beautiful balcony upstairs looks out to some of Moab's unique geological formations. We made most of our meals at the townhouse and it had everything we needed to cook inside and grill outside. Rob and Lisa are very quick to reply if you have any questions or concerns. I would highly recommend this rental and we would definitely stay here again if traveling to Moab. Another plus, they do not charge a cleaning fee. It's pretty much just the nightly rate, plus tax. Very refreshing.

Fabulous townhouse near Arches National Park

This is one of the nicest townhomes we have rented in the past several years. The previous reviews hit it on the nail: beautiful, SPACIOUS accommodations, very well cared for neighborhood, lovely patio and awesome 2nd floor deck, and bonus laundry facility. We didn’t use the pool next door but nice to know it was close by (and it was never loud). We worried about renting outside the core downtown area but it turned out to be absolutely no problem as we were always able to find parking downtown. Very easy drives to Arches and Canyonland National Parks. As a dog owner, we were very pleased to find the area to be dog friendly with grassy areas and extra doggie waste bags if needed. There is a great kennel nearby where you can drop your dog off on your way to Arches. Besides the spaciousness of the townhome and the easy access to downtown and Nat'l Parks, the thing we appreciated most was sitting out on the 2nd floor deck and gazing at the Milky Way in our quiet oasis - something we can't do in the more populated, lighted areas. Beautiful place!

We stayed at Rob & Lisa's condo over the 4th of July weekend and it was just perfect. It was just four of us and the dogs, but we could have fit many more comfortably. It was a great set up for everyone, with lots of room to spread out, TVs in multiple rooms, and lots of nice outdoor space. Loved the view from the rooftop deck- what a great treat that was!! It rained two nights and I got beautiful pictures of rainbows from up there. Even with the pool next door, it was never loud and the property was nicely decorated and well laid out. We definitely hope to visit Moab again and stay here when we do! Rob and Lisa were great to work with and when I compared their overall price to others with a lower nightly rate, they had they better overall deal! Thanks for the great experience!

Great townhouse near Moab, Utah

I recently stayed in this townhouse for three nights with my wife, children, and mother-in-law. The location is excellent -- close enough to Moab to be a quick drive into town or to Arches National Park, but far enough from Moab to feel secluded and peaceful. The townhouse itself is spacious and tastefully furnished, and it has all the amenities we needed and wanted. This unit is perfect if you want to swim, as it is located right next to the pool. You can even go out on the second-floor deck and look out over the pool.

Rob and Lisa were very helpful in answering questions, and they sent us lots of information about the Moab area, including their local restaurant recommendations. They even helped me find a medical clinic where I could get an appointment for my son, who got sick during our vacation.

We would definitely put this townhouse at the top of our list if we plan another trip to Moab in the future.

A beautiful townhouse in a super location!

My husband and I are presently staying at this townhouse for a week, as part of a tour of the National Parks of Utah. We are from the UK, and prior to arriving, found Rob and Lisa so easy to deal with, they answered all our queries very promptly, and sent us a most detailed e mail with information on Moab, and recommendations on where to shop and dine. The townhouse is situated on a very desirable small development of townhouses adjacent to Moab golf course. The townhouse has everything you could wish for, and there are plenty of supplies of loo rolls, kitchen rolls, soaps and condiments which we don't always find in other vrbo rentals.

The property is very nicely decorated, and the king size bed in the downstairs bedroom is so comfortable, with lovely quality bed linen. We appreciate the washer and the dryer too!

It only takes us 20 minutes to drive to Arches National Park which is under 9 miles away, and my husband has played golf at the adjacent Moab Golf course, and enjoyed the golf course which is surrounded by red rocks.

Thanks very much Rob and Lisa ! Ps unfortunately the weather has been too cool to use the roof terrace or the pool next door, but the views from the roof terrace are amazing!

This was the 1st stop in Utah for us after arriving in SLC. We were nicely surprised to find such a lovely townhouse for our 3 night stay. It was perfect. We made ourselves at home quickly, unpacked, cooked a nice dinner in the well-equipped kitchen and then went for a dip in the pool, which was right next door to our end unit. Access was easy, it was quiet, right next to the Moab Golf Course which we would have liked to play but didn't have time due to all the other activities we planned. The town of Moab is unique in many ways and a visit to the Visitors Centre is a must. They were so friendly and helpful. We visited Canyonland and Arches National Parks. A great experience we will never forget. Just wish we had planned on a week. Again this home is A1 !
