My family and I loved being right on Lake Rescue! We enjoyed the kayaks and canoe that were provided. We were able to fish and see the resident eagles! Very peaceful and relaxing.
This was a great place for my friends and I. A great open common area with good sleeping accommodations upstairs. Waterfront was awesome too! Would stay here again 10/10.
We had a very enjoyable stay and truly enjoyed the property, which was family-friendly and provided gorgeous views of nature and access to the lake. Grainne was very responsive and had great communication with us. I would highly recommend a stay!
Perfect cozy lake house close to great atttractions! We enjoyed the scenic chair lift ride at Okemo mountain, private dining at Homestyle Hotel and great exploration on trails at Butternut Falls. Lake house was warm, beds comfy, very clean! Thank you!

So glad you had a good time and hope you will consider our house again!
Well kept, lovely house with great amenities and excellent communication from owners. It can be a bit noisy given the proximity to Route 100, but that's a minor issue. The house is very comfortable.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The quiet location on the lake was perfect for our family. The home was clean and comfortable equipped well enough in the kitchen for us to prepare simple meals. We loved using the kayaks on the lake and the display of fall colors did not disappoint. Would recommend visiting… especially in the fall!
My 4 adult children and I spent a long weekend at this vacation spot. The house was great for our size group. There is a lovely deck overlooking the back yard and small beachfront area. The beach is shallow and weedy so not good for swimming, but perfect for launching the canoe and kayaks included in the rental price. We found a sandy bottomed, deep area by one of the islands where we spent our days swimming. We enjoyed evenings by the outdoor fire pit at the beach front, with surprisingly very few insects to bother us. I would happily recommend this place.
We loved our stay at the lake house, very easy to get to and very convenient to Okemo. The kitchen was stocked with spices, pots, pans, etc - easy to cook in and the house is very close to the ludlow restaurants. It's on the way to the Sugar house which has the best Maple Creamies. The home was very clean and we loved the different sitting areas, a lot room to hang out to watch a movie or play games (which the house has). The children loved playing in the snow in the backyard; much better than being on devices. It snowed overnight and we had a few days of beautiful skiing/snowboarding. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
We stayed at the lovely lake house between Christmas and New Year’s as a base for a family ski trip to Okemo resort. The location was perfect for us and very picturesque in the snow. The house was warm and well appointed. For a family of 5, there was plenty of room and we found it to be as described. The journey to the Okemo base area was about 5-10mins, depending on which base you used. Ludlow had lots or restaurants and a well stocked grocery store. We found everything we needed within a 10min drive.Grainne was a great host. Communication was very straightforward and quick. Would recommend for a trip to the Ludlow area.
Two couples stayed at this cozy lake house. The location is great! Having coffee by the lake was so peaceful.
The home itself was very cozy and met our needs. If there were any complaints it would be the water pressure in the shower (I prefer more) and one of the beds were extremely noisy. Turning on your side would cause it to be squeeky and loud. It was however extremely comfortable.
Dealing with Grainne was extremely easy. We are definitely looking forward to coming back next summer and using the lake for more than just the views.

Thanks for your input- We fixed the bed so it's solid with no squeaking! Our plumber checked the water filter and found that to be the cause of the low water pressure. That was just fixed.
This house was just perfect for a ski weekend at Okemo. It's on a tiny road but directions provided were easy to follow. The living area was comfortable and cozy and the fireplace was lovely. Bathrooms were updated- and the upstairs bath had plenty of hooks for towels etc. Games in the living room were a nice touch. The kids loved the pair of bunk beds. Location was a super easy drive from Okemo- close enough to run back when we realized we forgot something. I would absolutely stay here again. We were a family of 4 and had lots of room to spread out. One thing to note- there wasn't really a railing on the stairs. It's fine for adults and bigger kids, but something to be aware of if you have small children or adults who have a hard time on stairs.
We arrived to a kitchen floor with bits of corn and ants. The fridge was not particularly clean. My family spent two hours cleaning the place, but when we pulled back the sheets on one of the beds there were dead bugs between the sheets. So we left. We contacted the owner who manages from afar. They were bristly and unhelpful. We did not stay even one night, but were refused any kind of refund. This was our worst VRBO experience. It was a lot of money to loose, but I'd rather loose money than potentially bring home bed bugs.

This party checked in on Saturday July 26th. I spoke to the gentleman on the phone to help with the entry code. Monday evening at 8 pm, I get a message via VRBO that the house wasn’t clean upon their arrival and they wanted to cancel their 18 day stay. Any guest that arrives at a house that is not clean would CALL the owner IMMEDIATELY so cleaning staff could be called to come over and mitigate any issues. They had already spoken to me on the phone but it seems they were avoiding direct contact with me. I asked that they send me pictures. These guests responded again via VRBO that they would be dealing with VRBO directly with a formal complaint. VRBO determined that there was no indication of bed bugs and that they were not entitled to any refund. My opinion is that they needed to leave for whatever reason and decided that they would stage some kind of health scare issue in order to get a refund. If they had been honest with me, I may have worked something out. We have rented our house for 15 years and have only good reviews. The party that checked out 2 days before their arrival sent a good review. We have inspected the house and confirm we do not have nay bugs let alone bed bugs but their use of that term is quite inflammatory so I have asked VRBO to remove this review. It’s pending.
We had a wonderful stay in Ludlow. Property is nice- deck is amazing. Wish we had remembered our lawn games. We took the canoe and kayaks out on the water. Unfortunately, the lake front isn’t really swimmable, but it’s a beautiful lake to paddle around. We hit up Buttermilk Falls for swimming holes- super close to the house. Lots of little things to do and places to explore in the area. We had a couple of snafus upon check in, but Grainne was super responsive and made things right. She was also very accommodating during checking out. Only down side to the house is it is right on the road- you will hear the cars if you don’t plug in the fans. We will keep it in mind in the future.
