About this property

Charming Historic House in Downtown Mystic

Wonderful 1770 built cape with views of the Mystic River. Five minutes walk to Historic Mystic Seaport, five minutes walk to the numerous restaurants, bars and shops on Main Street. Five minutes drive to Mystic Aquarium and Olde Mystick Village. Just ten minutes drive to the nearest beaches and twenty to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos. There will be accommodation for 8; two in ground floor king master, 2 in upstairs queen bedroom, 3 in upstairs bedroom with full-sized bed and twin, and also a very comfortable pull out sofa in the open-plan living area. Please note, the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms are quite steep. Please notify owner of intent to bring a pet-there will be an automatic $500 charge taken from the deposit for unapproved pets.

The house was perfect for our college girlfriend’s weekend! It was very clean, kitchen was well stocked for cooking/eating in, beds were comfortable and location was perfect! A quick walk to downtown. I would highly recommend staying here and we are looking forward to our next visit!

Comfortable and perfect location

Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. It was within walking distance of many attractions and was very comfortable. The hosts left bagels and cereal, along with coffee, milk and snack mix we would book this stay again in the future.

Our stay in Mystic was absolutely wonderful! The house was quaint, charming, and spotless - clearly very well cared for. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing girls trip. The location couldn’t be better - just a short walk to downtown Mystic with its great shops, restaurants, and waterfront. The host was exceptionally responsive and made sure everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mystic. J. UCONN Graduation Family Weekend

Absolutely wonderful cottage. The owners have provided a very warm and welcoming environment with all of the comforts of home. Extra bonus is the location as the property is in downtown so you can walk to all that Mystic has to offer. The hosts were a delight to do business with as well and our family would return for another stay!

Charming home in the middle of everything!

Lovely home within walking distance of downtown and the museum. The owners were responsive and the home was exactly as described. The kitchen was spacious and the living room comfortable for our family. We had a wonderful time and would stay again!

Wonderful stay at a great house

We loved staying here. Hosts were wonderful. Easy to communicate with. House was very clean and taken care of. Yard was very nice. Had air conditioning. 3 parking spots. Within walking distance of downtown mystic, the drawbridge, CVS and more. Totally recommend.

Perfect Stay

We had an amazing stay. The home was sparkling clean and had everything we needed. The host left a nice little welcome package of milk, butter and bagels. The location is perfect we only used our car once, we walked everywhere. I would 100% recommend this cottage and hope to come back again.

Weekend Getaway

Beautiful home in a great location. We loved walking to restaurants and taking in the sights of Mystic. Our Westie loved walking around town and watching the squirrels from the patio door. The home was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our Easter dinner.

John Denison House was once a corn shed on the Denison Farm, Mystic's earliest settlement. Later moved down the hill to its current location, John Denison House has been restored and renovated to allow 21st century amenities and comfort whilst still retaining its historic charm.
