Pet-Friendly Lakeside Cottage w/ Kayaks and Canoe!

Welcome to Cattail Cottage, an O’Connell Cabin Co. stay on Lower Holly Lake. Built in 2021, it has the same easy lake-day rhythm as our other Cattail cabins — deck, screened porch, walk-out lower level — with extra space when the group runs a little larger.

A few things to know first:

-Parking is limited to 4 vehicles. The driveway is the only place to park, and it is not very big.
-The dock is a short walk from the cabin, on the other side of Cattail Chalet next door. There is an illustration in the photo gallery that shows where it is.
-We welcome up to 2 dogs. The pet fee is $150, and we ask that you declare pets on your reservation.
-If you are thinking of bringing your own boat, ATV, or snowmobile, get in touch so we can talk logistics. The road in is tight, and so is the driveway.

What makes Cattail Cottage different:

-Sleeps 10 in 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, with a finished walk-out basement. About 2,000 square feet. The fourth bedroom is an open loft.
-Gas fireplaces on the main floor and in the lower level.
-Large deck and screened-in porch with views of 48-acre Lower Holly Lake.
-Walk-out basement with ping pong.
-Full kitchen with a center island and a dining table that seats 10.
-Watercraft: 2 kayaks and a canoe. This cabin does not include a fishing boat or a pedal boat.

Location and the outdoors:

Cattail Cottage is about 10 minutes from the town of Stone Lake and about 20 minutes from Hayward. Lower Holly Lake is a quiet 48-acre lake for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. The cabin sits on a snowmobile and ATV route, with CAMBA trails nearby for longer rides.

Also included: firewood for the fire pit, a Blackstone gas griddle, high-speed internet, Smart HDTVs, laundry, and books and games.

Cattail Cottage is the O’Connell Cabin Co. cabin for the larger group that wants newer construction and an easy walk to the shared dock on Lower Holly Lake.
